Show Notes

In this episode I meet Dr Kellie (nee Emmerson) Angel, Elite trail and ultra runner, Coach and Occupational Therapist and Researcher.  We re-visit my favourite topic of the science, psychology and art of peak performance from the high performing athlete perspective. We discuss her role as a coach and particularly the challenges facing runners and athletes at this time.  Kellie gives valuable insight into her mindset, drive, enthusiasm and the habits and attitudes she cultivates in herself and others.  As a front-line health professional who is also pregnant with her first child, we discuss the unique challenges this time has brought for her professionally and personally.  Our conversation took place on R U OK day in Australia, fitting given the central role the running community and connections afforded has in both of our lives.  Be inspired by this incredible woman and important role model and ambassador for her sport.
