Sweta grew up in India and started her career as a scientist in the US. She moved to Canada following the economic collapse in 2009 and found her home in Vancouver. Her decade of experience in STEM helped her identify the unique challenges faced by immigrant and international women. In 2018 she co-founded IWS Network, a thriving community of volunteer-led peer support group with 9 sister chapters across Canada.
Over 20 years, Sweta has successfully transitioned across cultures, countries, and careers. Change has been a constant in her life and her experiences have taught her navigate change with patience and grace. She is now navigating one of the biggest transitions in her life - being a first time mom of a newborn!
