The Bible Provocateur

LIVE DISCUSSION: 70 Weeks of Daniel - INTRO (PART 5 of 5)

The Bible Provocateur Season 2025 Episode 130

Send us a text

The blood of Christ stands at the center of Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy—a profound revelation that completely transforms how we understand biblical prophecy. While popular end-times theories have twisted this passage to support a future seven-year tribulation, careful examination reveals something far more beautiful: this prophecy points directly and exclusively to Jesus Christ.

We dive deep into Daniel 9:24-27, exploring how the six promised outcomes—finishing transgression, making an end of sins, reconciling iniquity, bringing everlasting righteousness, sealing prophecy, and anointing the Most Holy—have already been fulfilled through Christ's finished work. The timeline precisely aligns with Jesus beginning His ministry in the 483rd year (after 69 weeks), with seven years remaining in the prophetic timeline.

The dispensationalist argument requiring a 2,000-year gap between the 69th and 70th weeks defies logical interpretation and consistent hermeneutics. As we explore each element of the prophecy, we uncover how it all points to Christ rather than some future tribulation period. This understanding brings tremendous peace, replacing fear-based theology with confidence in Christ's completed work.

This conversation challenges many believers' assumptions about prophecy while strengthening our appreciation for what Jesus accomplished. When we recognize that we already possess everlasting righteousness through faith in Christ—not through something yet to happen—we can rest in His finished work rather than anxiously awaiting future events.

Join us for this mind-expanding discussion that will transform how you read prophecy and deepen your appreciation for Christ's redemptive work. Understanding Daniel's 70 weeks correctly isn't just an academic exercise—it's about seeing Jesus at the center of all Scripture and finding confidence in His completed sacrifice.

Speaker 1:

sacrificed. The blood also provided the clothing that shed them covered their nakedness as well. It all comes down to the blood.

Speaker 2:

Amen, brother, it's all about the blood, amen.

Speaker 3:

It's all about the blood.

Speaker 2:

Now, here's the thing. Here's the thing, because, see, this is what I love, because this is the kind of stuff that we need to have conversations about on a regular basis and start thinking about it, because you're going to find, as I have, and I'm sure many of you have people have perspectives that they themselves have not challenged. They just assume that what they have been told is the truth. Daniel 9 is about Christ, all of it. To have this prophecy skip over Christ to talk about some ridiculous seven year tribulation in the future is crazy, because it would belittle what was done at the cross. We would have to be saying that the greatest event in human history. Daniel speaks to it directly and the Church of Christ is saying, no, that's not it. It skips over that and goes and deals with some fantasy period that belongs into a left-behind movie.

Speaker 3:

I felt that too, and you know what. You know where I think it comes from, brother. Honestly, I think it comes from fear of the believer Thinking that it's like I've already made the decision. I'm like Lord if I got to be chopped up like lettuce, I'm out of here. You know what I mean. But I think that there's a fear there that that that somebody, that there will be a rescue, you know, and there's so many things that people say that and the decision is not made in your mind and in your heart and in your faith that if you have to on a lie for this, so be it Right.

Speaker 4:

Right.

Speaker 3:

You know what I mean, and that's where I think. I really believe that people are going to fall out or away when this time, when something happens, because it's like if this is the case, people will get scared and they're going to take whatever it is.

Speaker 2:

I would be. I would be, I would be completely afraid when I look at a passage like this. Because because I I can't tell you how immensely I'm enjoying this conversation on this subject and we just we're just scratching the foundational surface of this subject. And we just we're just scratching the foundational surface of this, um, because right now, so far, all I've done was say what the six things are that need to be fulfilled, and we talked a little bit about what finishing the transgression is.

Speaker 2:

But here's the thing if we read a prophecy in the bible, anywhere in the old testament, we read a prophecy, and if somehow somebody gives an interpretation of a prophecy that goes outside of Christ or beyond Christ skips over, and I'm saying no, this is about Christ. You have to ask yourself which camp do you feel safer being in? Do you want to be in the camp? Do you feel safer being in? Do you want to be in the camp that says this is talking about the Lord, jesus Christ, or do you want to be in the camp that says this is about something that happens way after, has nothing to do with Jesus Christ himself? This is about 144,000 people, a treaty between the nation of Israel, war, going on with, with, with russia and china, all that nonsense. You we are taking one of the most beautiful prophecies in the entire bible which speaks to christ, those wise men in luke 2 and gamaliel I think it was Gamaliel, yeah, gamaliel they knew exactly the time where Christ was supposed to come.

Speaker 4:

How did they know? I'll tell you that had to happen. The 70 times 7 is 490. Exactly, it has to be all about Christ, because 490 is a number for forgiveness and bread.

Speaker 2:

It is. But here's the thing Christ began his ministry in the 483rd year, which means there was only seven years left in the 490 years he began. When he was baptized, he was 30 years old, and 30 years old he was when the 483rd week or week or year began. There was seven years left, or year began. There was seven years left. Now Nicole was suggesting earlier.

Speaker 2:

Like a lot of dispensationalists, they say that this year has been postponed some kind of way. There's a gap. There's nothing anywhere in the Bible that shows that process at all. No meaningful person that has reasonable understanding can look at this passage and go no, no, between the 69th week and the 70th week is going to be so far over 2025 years. No rational mind will come to that conclusion. And Daniel said he understood from the prophecy of Jeremiah of the 70 year what his would be like. So my question is this to all of you was there a gap between the 69th year and the 70th year of Jeremiah's vision of captivity of Babylon? No, right. So the only way Daniel's 70 week would make sense, if it was post-protracted out so far, 2,000 years, is if we could say the same thing about the Babylonian captivity.

Speaker 3:

When you think about it, though, it doesn't even make sense.

Speaker 2:

It makes zero sense. It makes no sense. Yeah, it makes no sense. Uh-oh, the seven-year tribulation is foolishness. It's foolishness, it's stupid, it doesn't make any sense. And what I'm saying is that you have to really stretch the mind. Now, some people like to go well, you know, I'm I'm led by the holy spirit and the holy spirit teaches me these things. Yeah, spirit, what you know what? No, it doesn't. God gave us the word of god for a reason to learn it, to study it right.

Speaker 3:

The prophecy is true and the prophecy has been fulfilled yep it has been fulfilled what's in the verse in the bible, brother jonathan, that says um, if a prophecy is spoken and not fulfilled deuteronomy 13 yes, then it is null and not fulfilled.

Speaker 2:

Deuteronomy 13.

Speaker 3:

Yes, and it is null and void. Like it's not true.

Speaker 2:

Not true.

Speaker 3:

So to prophesy means to what To bring forth, and so when it was brought forth, if none of that was done, then it wouldn't be a prophecy.

Speaker 2:

Well, here's what I'm going to do. Before I close, I want to say this we talked about finishing the transgression, and the next time I'm going to pick up on proving that these things were fulfilled these six things and the rest of them but think about this for a minute, because when you think about it, you're going to start remembering in advance of our next live. Start looking at these expressions, these six things in 924, finishing the transgression. Okay, we talked about that. Think about this. To make an end of sins. The first thing that comes to my mind is Romans 10, verse 4. Christ being the end of the law, etc. Etc.

Speaker 2:

Timothy Paul talks to Timothy talking about making reconciliation for iniquity. We are reconciled to God by the death of Jesus Christ. Does anybody disagree with that? Am I wrong? You're absolutely correct, Right? We by the death of Christ? Those of us who believe we are reconciled to Christ by the death, by his death. We're reconciled to God by him. Correct, Because if that didn't happen already, then I would have. There's an argument to be made for these people who say that this is something in the future, but this has already happened. Look at this. This prophecy would be fulfilled when the Messiah was bringing in everlasting righteousness. Is there anybody who's a believer today, who does not have everlasting righteousness?

Speaker 7:

Anybody, we all do we all do.

Speaker 4:

You ever want to do.

Speaker 3:

We have it.

Speaker 2:

Let me tell you something. Amen, I am a. I'm a man fraught with infirmity, but one thing that I can tell you for sure I am 100 percent righteous.

Speaker 3:

Amen, brother, by nobody other than Jesus Christ.

Speaker 4:

Not because of me.

Speaker 3:

It's because you're a new creature in him and in christ, and so that's why, like when you read romans and you read all these, everything is in christ my brother says here imputed.

Speaker 2:

his righteousness was imputed to my account and now I am reckoned, uh, as righteous, reconciled to the Father. If there's a seven-year tribulation that makes this prophecy fulfilled that's in the future then I cannot be righteous today and neither can you, he says here. The other thing is to seal up vision and prophecy, and you got a lot of guys running around saying they're seeing visions and they are getting prophecies from the God. No, they're not none of them are there are no more prophets. There are no more apostles.

Speaker 2:

I don't care who gino gene jennings thinks he is. He's not an apostle, he's a heretic jennifer.

Speaker 4:

You know, the lord told you kenneth. The lord told you in matthew 5, 17. Listen, the lord told you in matthew 5, 17. He said I come not to destroy the law and the prophets, but to fulfill 517.

Speaker 2:

He said I come not to destroy the law in the province, but to fulfill amen. Brother, there are no prophets, there are no visions, there are no infallible preachers, and the Pope is the son of perdition. His name's poop not. Pope the man of sin, all right right there are. There are no prophets, no apostles, and there are no visions that God has given to anyone that they can construe as infallible. And if they could, then that means that this word of God is not yet done.

Speaker 3:

Would it also mean that that's self-righteousness if they think that too? That self-righteousness if they think that too, I mean, because if you, there's so many people who get on here saying, oh, I'm an apostle, it is of the devil, I know that it is Well.

Speaker 4:

I promise you that's going to be. That's going to be some of the ones notice, I used the word some that's going to be some of the ones where the Lord says I do not know you.

Speaker 2:

There are no.

Speaker 3:

let me make one thing unequivocally clear Brother Jonathan, there's people that say they're seers.

Speaker 2:

They're liars.

Speaker 6:

That's new age.

Speaker 2:

No prophets, no apostles, nobody's getting visions. God put it on us to study his word, right. He put it on us to fellowship with one another. He put it on us to to go to church and hear the word of god, priest, and to study the word of god and to and to make use of the means of grace that he has given. He is done with all that kind of stuff he has given us, sent us his son, and he says listen, listen to him. And he preached and he appointed his apostles and gave them the words that we now know as the inspired word of God and we're to believe it and to understand it. So I don't want to hear from anybody who says they're a prophet unless they are an expert in every single word of the scriptures, and there are none.

Speaker 4:

I want to say something.

Speaker 7:

It was the Apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians, the 13th chapter Right, and said these three things abide, faith, hope and love. The greatest of these is love, that's right. That's it, brother, amen.

Speaker 2:

Now here's the last thing he says. The last thing he says is to anoint the most holy. Now think about this for a second. The pre-tribulation dispensationalists will say that anointing the most holy is about the inauguration of this supposed rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. That is a bunch of horse pucky.

Speaker 4:

I can't type I'm glad you said something like that, because I'd probably messed up.

Speaker 2:

I want to mess up, but I'm just telling you. Sometimes you just want to cuss, but I can't do that Right? Well, listen, to take the word of God to anoint the most holy. Let me ask everybody here I'm going to go around this is going to be a one-word answer or a one-word, two-word answer? Nicole, in your opinion, what is anointing the most holy? What is the most holy?

Speaker 1:

The most high God that would be.

Speaker 3:

Jesusing them, that would be.

Speaker 2:

Jesus, jerry, what do you say? Most holy is Jesus.

Speaker 6:

Lisa, what do you? Say I say it's Jesus when the Holy Spirit Came down on him during his baptism.

Speaker 2:

Esco? What do you say, brother? Have you been quiet for a while? Most holy, what or who is that Esco? What do you say, brother? You've been quiet for a while. You're most holy, what or who is that? Jesus, ben? Who do you think? Jesus, mr Ray Robinson, you got a different opinion. Got it? What's that? Got it, what's that? Got it, okay, papa. What do you say? My father, meg?

Speaker 3:

I say Revelations, chapter 4, verse 8.

Speaker 7:

Holy holy holy is the.

Speaker 3:

Lord, god Almighty, who was and is and is to come.

Speaker 2:

Amen. This cannot be talking about a physical temple being rebuilt in Jerusalem. That's crazy talk.

Speaker 1:

All right.

Speaker 5:

Jesus transforms himself into an angel of light to deceive the elect. And that's what he's doing. He's trying to build the temple. As far as I'm seeing it, as Christ preached at 30 to 33, he's doing the same thing trying to build that temple.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, the thing about it is, he's been building this temple ever since he left here, and we are the temple.

Speaker 3:

But Esco remember, it says, says if possible even the elect that was good all right, so here's the thing.

Speaker 2:

Here's the thing. So in the upcoming lives I want to, I'm going to get into the details of proving these things that I'm saying from scripture. I don't like to say nothing and have anybody believe it. I want to be able to say something and have somebody check me.

Speaker 3:

Let God be true and every man a liar.

Speaker 2:

That means, even if I'm wrong, I want to bring it out. But I want to bring these things out. I want to subject myself to your scrutiny, if you would let me, and for those of you who can be, you know, because I know everybody can make it whenever they can, but this is what we're going to do. So this laid the foundation for it. But here's the key thing, here's the key takeaway from today these six things in 924, everybody should look at and then be able to either demonstrate why these things have been fulfilled or to or to prove why they haven't been, because if one hasn't been filled, hasn't been fulfilled, then none of them have. If one has been fulfilled, then all of them have. That being said, this is the time where I come to, at night, where I want to get everybody their last 30 second, 45 second goodnight message. Everybody, I'm going to go around and ask everybody to give me your last closing word, and I'll start with you, papa. What's your last thing for tonight to say?

Speaker 4:

Man, I just want to say this you know I've been on your lives I think you know, two, three times, and every time that I have been on here, since that one night, we had that one crazy I remember. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know it's always.

Speaker 4:

I mean, it's a real touching thing because the you can have a conversation in here, you can act like adults in here, Right, you know? And everybody else on their lives. And I just want to thank everybody that came in here, man that has had a cool head and everything else. You know, that means everything.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, guys, Thank you man for that kind word there, mr Robinson. How about you, my friend? He's quiet, but he's one of the kind of guys that I think that has a lot to say. I'm going to pull it out one of these days.

Speaker 8:

Awesome, awesome, sumo. I enjoyed every bit of it. As always, when you're thinking a lot, there's a saying that goes what you know is way less than what you don't know. Yeah, sometimes when you're thinking a lot and you come across sermons like this, you realize there's still much to learn, amen. There's one little mistake you make, but probably when you say there was two covenants that you knew. But I know there was more, but I didn't want to disturb your flow because it was growing so good, so I just left it. So I didn't. I didn't want it this to be a flow, because it was, it was going. So goodness has left it, so it has decided bring it up now. But we know it have more than two years.

Speaker 8:

The covenant of Abraham, the covenant of Moses, jesus, confident they'll come up with Noah, but that's all good. We all make mistakes, we all human, but I think I'm, I was at peace when I, when you in this, this life, uh, when you go to other lives, it's like. It's like in a market. It's always trying to defend china, coral, china disc. So this is a a better, fresh air and um, I love you guys and we just have to continue in god's word, keep learning and keep moving forward, because when you go through the lives, the devil is at work. I don't know if you guys ever realized that there's something new that the devil is using. They are trying to keep a lot of people in the Old Testament and just stay in the Old Testament and the old covenant and the Old Covenant and laws and try to forget about Christ Things.

Speaker 8:

In Romans, I think 2, is it 2,? 18, I can't remember where it says that if righteousness comes through the law, then Jesus Christ has died in vain. Love you guys. It's going to be awesome. I'll try to come back next time. I don't know if tomorrow you'll be here, tomorrow you'll be live, or next week.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'll be live tomorrow.

Speaker 8:

I'll be live tomorrow for sure. Alright, cool, alright. Yeah, I'll try my best to come up live tomorrow.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it'll be around the same time every night when I do it. So if you want, if you follow me, then I'll send you. I'll send you the notification when, when I'm doing, when I'm getting ready to do it, so you'll get it too. Roger, roger, that's it, roger. All right, brother. Thank you for your time, man, your kind attention and your generous ears. I appreciate it.

Speaker 8:

Same to you, same to everybody in life.

Speaker 1:

All right, ben, your turn, brother. Last word Just say that we don't have tomorrow promised. So if we've got to boast of anything, let's boast that we know Christ and we know him well, and in and of that, just patiently endure to the end, because, as you said, it's imminent, and I leave everybody with that, and peace and love.

Speaker 2:

Thanks, ben, I appreciate it. Brother. Esco your turn Last word. Esco you there, let's see how about Lisa?

Speaker 6:

I just want to say thanks again for having me up and thank you, sister Meg, again for having me up and thank you, sister Meg, for inviting me up, so I'm going to keep learning more and more, and the one thing I would say is, when this stuff starts coming together at least for me and hopefully for everyone it's so much, it brings such a calm because it makes sense. You know the character of the Lord that we serve and it's it's, it's beautiful, it is so beautiful. Some of these other teachings out there are filled with fear and filled with you do this or that, are filled with we're waiting to be raptured out of here. And what if it doesn't happen? You know, I think there's going to be a lot of people falling away just because of those things. When that doesn't happen. And I'm searching, I just want truth and I want to know the God I serve, and you guys are such a great, great help to me and a blessing, and this fellowship means every single thing to me. So thank you so much.

Speaker 2:

All right, appreciate that, sister. That's all right, brother, go ahead. Your last word, what's your last word?

Speaker 5:

I just want to thank you so much for opening up my eyes again. Every time I come into this live with you, you seem to open up my spiritual eyes. I just can't thank you enough for who you are as a man and God. Jesus in me loves you. Jesus in me, brother.

Speaker 2:

Oh man, I appreciate that. I really appreciate that. Man, I really, really, really do. Please keep coming back, because the contribution that everybody makes is so significant. You know, and believe it or not, I don't always like the sound of my own voice. Sometimes I do, but not all the time.

Speaker 5:

I've got to say, the only other person other than Christ that I look forward to seeing is you.

Speaker 2:

Oh, man, that's a blessing man. But you know one thing for sure man is trying to trying to get everybody to see Christ in. Everything is so important to me, and you know, some people today don't have the endurance to pay attention to the truth. You know, people are always talking about how we have to be short and everything because people can't take it. How we have to be short and everything because people can't take it. We need to be able to do it. We can't. If we can't endure the word of God, how are we going to do with the battle that's outside the doors? Got to stay teaching, you know. So we got to, we got to stay in it. So, jerry, your turn. Brother, last word, you turn off his mic. You don't think.

Speaker 7:

There you go, okay okay, so, uh, this reminds me of home bible study yes and I love the idea that you you're willing to take the lead and calling us out, and, and and and having us to be accountable. We should be accountable one to another based on what the word of God.

Speaker 1:

Amen.

Speaker 7:

This is so beneficial In a world where it's hard to find someone to trust. We all have the good news to tell everybody. You can trust in Jesus Christ, trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will straighten your path.

Speaker 2:

I love that brother man. I love all you guys. Big Gravy, I know what he's going to say every time he says it.

Speaker 7:

Yes, sir, me too.

Speaker 8:

Can I say something? I think Judge Jonathan said it was Romans 2.20, but that was a mistake. It was Galatians 2.20.

Speaker 2:

Go ahead and read it, brother. While you're there, Go ahead and read it.

Speaker 8:

I don't have it on me, but I just know the last two verses where it says I just said it through if righteousness comes, came to be true, if writers just came through um the law, jesus christ have died in vain. Yes, that is so important. So when everybody want to stay in the old testament and the laws of the old testament, um, we no longer a new covenant with christ to faith that's right, right, brother, I appreciate that.

Speaker 2:

That's, that's, that's man, you know what, whenever, whenever somebody reads, whenever somebody reads a verse of scripture like you, I mean I, you wouldn't be, you'd be, you guys would all be surprised if you saw how many notes that I have of things I want to talk about and there's not enough life left for me to do it. But there's so many things that I want to talk about and there's not enough life left for me to do it, but there's so many things that I want to just share with people and bring out. And because I, like, I'm that guy that gets like you know the, you know, when you go to a barbecue and you get and you get those ribs really good ribs, they got a nice spicy sauce on it then I eat. There's nothing left in that bone when I'm done with it but I like to do that with the word of God.

Speaker 2:

I like to take every piece of meat off the bone I can. I can get amen, and this is what I wanted to encourage all of my brothers and sisters to be able to do. If it's the last thing I get to do in my old age is to get people fired up about wanting to know the word of God and wanting to be able to dissect it and connect the dots and just, and you know, have a good time with it, but then go out to the world and start wielding those swords. You know what I mean, nicole. Last word. Sister, what's your last word?

Speaker 7:

I was just going to say thanks for giving me a hard time, because it makes me go into the world even deeper.

Speaker 3:

And, yeah, I love God with all my heart. It makes me go into the word even deeper.

Speaker 1:

And, yeah, I love God with all my heart and.

Speaker 7:

I can't move from that rock and I'm going to stay on that rock.

Speaker 2:

And yeah that's it. I appreciate you, Nicole. Because you come back, I'm the kind of person that believes that I am an acquired taste.

Speaker 7:

because you come back, I'm the kind of person that believes that I am an acquired taste.

Speaker 2:

You know what I mean. I am too, brother Jonathan. You too. When people hang around, I know they really care. I know that I don't affect them in any kind of bad way. Like I said, I know I'm an acquired taste and so when I, when I get people a hard time and they keep coming back, I know that they get me and it's not like they are offended by me. And that's one thing I appreciate about my sister, nicole. She keeps coming back and I keep giving her a hard time. She keeps coming back. So I guess we just keep doing this, nicole.

Speaker 1:

And you know what? You give me a hard time, but you give me a hard time in a good way. Don't threaten me with a good time, Jonathan were you in the military?

Speaker 2:

I was yep Navy. I was too.

Speaker 8:

How many years Six, okay, great.

Speaker 6:

You were in the military for 25 years. Oh great, you were in the poll.

Speaker 8:

Yes, I was. I was in the military for 25 years.

Speaker 7:

Oh, really Thank all of you, all Thank you, I appreciate it.

Speaker 2:

Oh man, 25 years. If they would have given me what I wanted, I would have done 20 for sure. I wanted to fly. I was a navigator on ships. Okay okay, okay, but anyway. So I didn't do it. That's good to know, that's really good to know. All right, sister Meg, last word. Sister, you're closing us up.

Speaker 3:

All right, I just want to pray for everybody. Go for it, all right, dear Heavenly Father. Lord God, I just thank you so much, lord, for the for the people that have been here tonight, lord, and in the comments. This was so edifying, lord, and we're two or more gathered, father God, you are in the midst, lord God, and I thank you in worship and glorify you for that, lord. I thank you for the time that we all got to gather together and set spend in your word, lord.

Speaker 3:

I thank you for the edification that we got to bring glory to your name in this life, lord, I thank you for everything that you're doing in and through us, lord, and as we continue to have those ears that hear, lord God, I ask that in this season, lord, whatever season anybody's in that we hear your voice louder and the world way, way less. Lord God, I just ask that you just continue to give everybody peace, lord, and give people joy and happiness, knowing that you are the one that we follow and we believe, lord God, in your finished work on the cross. I thank you, lord God. We worship and glorify you in Jesus' mighty name. Amen, amen, amen, amen. Thank you, sister, you.

Speaker 2:

We worship and glorify you in Jesus' mighty name Amen, amen, amen, amen. Thank you, sister.

Speaker 3:

You're welcome, prayer's good.

Speaker 2:

Again, I appreciate the generous attention that everybody pays to this whole thing and the contribution that you guys make, because it's such a beautiful thing to see the people joining together and having conversations, even the people that follow Todd, joy and Mark. We've got so many people that come on. Why are you yeah.

Speaker 3:

Everybody comes in Mac is always in Candy Girl. Candy Girl, she's in, yeah.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, user 533 has been in, I'm full.

Speaker 3:

Thank you all.

Speaker 2:

You guys all have a great weekend and a great Lord's Day, however you spend it on Sunday, and I'm looking forward to upcoming lives and continuing to share with all of you guys. So, with that being said and all these things, especially what we talked about tonight, be provoked and be persuaded. May God bless you all.

Speaker 3:

Thank you, god bless you guys. Good night.
