Still Rolling, the moment on set when the actor fluffs their lines, the pyrotechnics go off early, you’ve set the runner on fire and the camera operator pretends they hit record when they ask for another take. Sometimes you just have to push on. Josh Allen brings guests out of their shell with regular feature ‘On Set Confessions’, pries into their private lives and provides a bit of counselling. Guests are from all over the film industry, the unsung heroes to the stiffs in charge of the money. Josh finds out what gets them out of bed in the morning and what keeps them up at night.

Ep03 Making new friend - with Casey Hennessy

Episode three of Still Rolling features our resident host Josh Allen and welcomes guest Casey Hennessy on to the show. A young female filmmaker in the midst of her career, she shares with us a bit about her journey in filmmaking up to now and how her work in commercial filmmaking translates to her narrative aspirations. Josh also premieres his new pop quiz to help the audience get to know the guests.

Casey is a Midlands-born commercial director working across automotive, sport and lifestyle. She has worked with global brands including BMW, Mini, Microsoft, Renault F1, W Series and Jaguar Land Rover.Alongside commercials, Casey writes and directs her own narrative work, with her current short film in development with the BFI and Freya Films.Casey, started out her career in filmmaking by making shit skate films with her mates, in her own words. Before deviating slightly towards an education in graphic design. Her short film Snail garnered an award at the Earls Court film festival and made official selection in Bath and Carmarthen. We’re led to believe she aspires to be the next Spike Jonze. This is however unconfirmed. We do know that she champions women in racing, she recently directed a film for the Women's Racing Series featuring a whole host of nutters like ‘The Grand Tours’ Abbie Eaton.
