Blatant Misreading
Blatant Misreading is a podcast where we take academic and political theory somewhere it was never meant to go: popular culture. In each episode, hosts Margie Tang-Oxley and Aaron Posner analyse a movie or TV show with a piece of theory that is, at best, kind of misapplied. Of course we all want an analysis of class dynamics in "Parasite," but we'll leave something that makes that much sense to the pros! We'll be over here applying Noam Chomsky to "Paddington 2."

Episode 7
In this episode we drink beer, eat too many donuts and talk about the Springfield nuclear power plant through the lens of Gene Rochlin’s article “Defining ‘High Reliability’ Organizations in Practice".
In our first nighttime episode we're realizing our inner Homer Simpson, but hopefully not causing any nuclear meltdowns. Plus we get a peek in Margie's past life as a nuclear reactor operator. With guest host Deirdre Baker we'll answer the question: Is the Springfield power plant a high reliability organization?
