Blatant Misreading
Blatant Misreading is a podcast where we take academic and political theory somewhere it was never meant to go: popular culture. In each episode, hosts Margie Tang-Oxley and Aaron Posner analyse a movie or TV show with a piece of theory that is, at best, kind of misapplied. Of course we all want an analysis of class dynamics in "Parasite," but we'll leave something that makes that much sense to the pros! We'll be over here applying Noam Chomsky to "Paddington 2."

Episode 13
This is the second part of the fourth episode in our Marx mini series where we dive into the Communist Manifesto, and it's our first ever DOUBLE EPISODE! That’s right we’re tackling Spike Lee’s 1989 movie Do the Right Thing and we had so much to say that we’re releasing it in 2 parts. We’re also joined on this episode by Langston Cotman!
We’re (still) eating pizza, we’re (still) talking about the 5 boroughs, we’re (still) talking Spike Lee for crying out loud!
