"Your Faith Anew!"
Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

Luisa writes,
This morning, on coming, blessed Jesus seemed to carry a black mantle; and drawing near me, He seemed to place me under it, saying: “In this way I will envelop all creatures, as within a black mantle.” And He disappeared. I remained concerned because of some chastisement, and I prayed Him to come back, for I could no longer be without Him; but I was as though bothered by that sight from before. Then, after much hardship, He came, carrying a cup filled with some liqueur. He gave me some to drink, and then He added: “My daughter, peaceful souls eat at my same table and drink at my cup, and the Divine Archer does nothing but dart through them continuously, and no dart is wasted. All of them – all of them wound the loving soul; and the soul faints, while the Divine Archer continues with His arrows which now make her die of love, now give her back new life of love. And from her wounds, the soul shoots her darts to wound the One who has so much wounded her. So, a peaceful soul is the delight and the amusement of God; while, with turbid souls, if the Divine Archer darts through them, the darts are wasted by the soul, leaving Him embittered, and forming the diabolical amusement and taste.”

SPEAKER_01Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew. Daily Reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, march twenty ninth, nineteen oh eight, volume eight. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, draw us into the peace of your divine will. Make our souls calm and receptive, that we may receive the arrows of your love and respond with love in return. May our hearts rest in you, undisturbed and fully surrendered. Amen. The psalmist writes in Psalm chapter eighty four verse two. My soul yearns and pines for the courts of the Lord. My heart and flesh cry out for the living God. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph twenty-seven, the desire for God is written in the human heart, because man is created by God and for God. In this desire, the soul longs to be united with God, even through suffering that transforms and elevates love. A peaceful soul allows God to act fully, receiving his grace and returning love. Louisa writes This morning, on coming, blessed Jesus seemed to carry a black mantle, and drawing near me, he seemed to place me under it, and saying, In this way I will envelop all creatures as within a black mantle, and he disappeared. I remained concerned because of some chastisement, and I prayed him to come back, for I could no longer be without him. But I was as though bothered by that sight from before. Then, after much hardship, he came, carrying a cup filled with some liqueur. He gave me some to drink, and then he added, My daughter, peaceful souls eat at my same table and drink at my cup. And the divine archer does nothing but dart through them continuously, and no dart is wasted. All of them, all of them wound the loving soul, and the soul faints, while the divine archer continues with his arrows which now make her die of love. Now give her back new life of love, and from her wounds the soul shoots her darts to wound the one who has so much wounded her. So a peaceful soul is the delight and the amusement of God. While with turpid souls, if the divine archer darts through them, the darts are wasted by the soul, leaving him embittered and forming the diabolical amusement and taste. In this profound image, Jesus reveals the mystery of a peaceful soul, one fully surrendered, calm, and receptive to the divine will. Such a soul does not resist God's action, but welcomes it, even when it comes as piercing arrows of love. These arrows represent divine touches, moments of grace, trials, inspirations, and purifications that wound the soul not to harm it, but to deepen its capacity for love. A peaceful soul does not waste these graces. Each dart penetrates and transforms, drawing the soul deeper into union with God. This is the soul living in the divine will, allowing God to act freely, without resistance, without turbulence. But Jesus contrasts this with the turpid soul, one distracted, agitated, and self-centered. In such a soul, the same divine darts are wasted. Grace is offered, but not received fully. The opportunity for transformation is lost. To live in the divine will is to become peaceful, not because life lacks suffering, but because the soul trusts completely in God. In that peace, every moment becomes an encounter with divine love. Every wound becomes a doorway to deeper union. And even more beautiful, when the soul is wounded by God's love, it begins to love him in return with equal intensity. The soul sends its own arrows back to God. Acts of love, surrender, and reparation. This is the divine exchange. God wounds the soul with love, and the soul wounds God with love in return. This is the delight of God to find a soul so united to him that every act becomes a living exchange of love within his divine will. Let us pray. O Jesus, divine archer of love, pierce my heart with your grace. Remove from me all turbulence, all resistance, all fear that prevents me from receiving your love fully. Make my soul peaceful, Lord, quiet in your presence, attentive to your movements, and surrendered to your will. May every dart you send find its mark in me. May I not waste a single grace, a single moment, a single invitation to love. And from the wounds you give me, may I return love to you, pure, constant, and unwavering. Jesus, let my life be an exchange of love with you, in your divine will, for your glory and the salvation of souls. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May your soul become ever more peaceful in the divine will, receiving every grace and returning love to God in all things. Remember, a peaceful soul allows God to act fully, turning every moment into an exchange of divine love. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
