"Your Faith Anew!"
Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

Luisa writes,
Continuing in my poor state, I was trying to fuse myself in my sweet Jesus according to my usual way; but as much as I tried, it was in vain. Jesus Himself distracted me, and sighing strongly told me: “My daughter, the creature is nothing other than my breath. As I breathe, I give life to everything. All life is in the breathing. Without breathing, the heart no longer beats, the blood no longer circulates, the hands remain inactive, the mind feels the intelligence die; and so with all the rest. Therefore, the whole of human life is in receiving and in giving this breath. But while I give life and motion to all creatures with my breath, wanting to sanctify them, love them, embellish them, enrich them, etc. with my holy breath, as they return to Me the breath which they receive, they send Me offenses, rebellions, ingratitudes, blasphemies, denials, and all the rest. I send the breath as pure, and they send it back impure. I send it in blessing, and it comes back to Me cursing. I send it all love, and it returns offending Me up into my inmost Heart. But Love makes Me continue to send my breath, in order to maintain these machines of human lives; otherwise they would no longer function, and would end up wrecked.
Ah! my daughter, did you hear how human life is maintained? By my breath. And when I find a soul who loves Me, how sweet her breath is, how she amuses Me - I feel cheered. An echo of harmonies is formed between Me and her; so she remains distinct from the other creatures, and she will be distinct also in Heaven. My daughter, I could not contain my Love, and I wanted to pour Myself out with you.”
So, today I could not fuse myself in Jesus, because He Himself kept me busy in His breath. How many things I understood, but I am unable to say them well - so I stop here.

SPEAKER_00Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, may tenth, nineteen seventeen, volume twelve. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, you sustain all life with your breath, and call us to return love for love. Open our hearts to receive your divine breath with purity, and to return it with gratitude, praise, and fidelity. May our lives become a pleasing harmony to you. Amen. Saint John the Apostle writes in the Holy Gospel according to John chapter twenty, verse twenty two. And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. The catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph one that God is infinitely perfect and blessed in himself. In a plan of sheer goodness, he freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. Before we enter into today's reading, we're reminded that life itself is a gift continually given by God. His breath sustains us at every moment, inviting us into communion with him. This prepares us to understand the intimate exchange Jesus reveals to Louisa. Louisa writes Continuing in my poor state, I was trying to fuse myself in my sweet Jesus according to my usual way, but as much as I tried it was in vain. Jesus himself distracted me and sighing strongly told me My daughter, the creature is nothing other than my breath. As I breathe, I give life to everything. All life is in the breathing. Without breathing, the heart no longer beats, the blood no longer circulates, the hands remain inactive, the mind feels the intelligence die, and so with all the rest. Therefore, the whole of human life is in receiving and in giving this breath. But while I give life and motion to all creatures with my breath, wanting to sanctify them, love them, embellish them, enrich them, etc, with my holy breath, as they return to me the breath which they receive, they send me offenses, rebellions, ingratitudes, blasphemies, denials, and all the rest. Ah, my daughter, did you hear how human life is maintained? By my breath. And when I find a soul who loves me, how sweet her breath is, how she amuses me. I feel cheered. An echo of harmonies is formed between me and her, so she remains distinct from the other creatures, and she will be distinct also in heaven. My daughter, I could not contain my love, and I wanted to pour myself out with you. So today I could not fuse myself in Jesus because He Himself kept me busy in His breath. How many things I understood, but I'm unable to say them well, so I stop here. Jesus reveals a deeply intimate truth. Our very existence is sustained by his breath. Every moment we live is an exchange. We receive his life, and we return something back to him. This exchange is not neutral. It carries love or rejection, gratitude or indifference. The tragedy Jesus expresses is not that he stops giving, but that what he receives in return is often impure. Yet, love continues. He keeps breathing life into us, even when that life is used against him. This is the mystery of divine love. Unceasing, unrelenting, unconditional. But then Jesus reveals the soul who loves him. What a contrast. That soul's breath becomes sweet to him. There is harmony, an echo between creator and creature. This is the life of the divine will. To live in the divine will is to consciously return to God what He gives us, transformed into love. Every breath becomes a prayer. Every moment becomes an offering. Every act becomes an echo of heaven. And this is why such a soul becomes distinct, not only on earth, but in heaven, because she lives already in that divine harmony. Let us pray. O divine breath of God, sustain me in every moment of my life. May I never forget that each breath I take is a gift from you. Purify what I return to you. Where there has been ingratitude, place thanksgiving. Where there has been indifference, place love. Jesus, let my life become a sweet echo to your heart. May every breath I take return to you as praise, as reparation, as love. Form in me that harmony of the divine will so that I may live in constant communion with you. May my soul delight you, console you, and remain united to you always. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Let us remember that every breath we take is an opportunity to love God in return. In the divine will, even the simplest act becomes a harmony that delights heaven. Let us live each moment consciously united to Him. Until tomorrow, stay in His will, and your faith will be made anew.
