Luisa writes,

I continue in the same state of privation and of abandonment.  As I was outside of myself, I saw a flood of water mixed with hail, such that it seemed that several cities were flooded with considerable damage.  While seeing this, I was in great consternation because I wanted to prevent that flood, but since I was alone - more so, since I did not have Jesus with me – I felt my poor arms too weak to be able to do it.  Then, to my surprise, I saw a virgin coming (it seemed to me that she was from America) and, she from one point, I from another, managed to prevent in great part the scourge that threatened us.  After this, as we reunited, I saw that virgin with the insignia of the passion, and crowned with the crown of thorns, just as I was, and a person who seemed to be an Angel, saying:  “Oh, power of the victim souls!  That which is not given to us Angels to do, they can do with their sufferings.  Oh, if men knew the good that comes from them – because they are there for the public and the individual good – they would do nothing but implore God to multiply these souls upon earth.”  After this, having said to each other that each of us should commend the other to the Lord, we separated.

Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew. Daily Reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, may seventeenth, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, through the sufferings of your Son and the sorrows of our Blessed Mother, teach us the hidden power of love united to sacrifice. Give us the grace to offer our trials, prayers, and sacrifices in union with the divine will for the salvation of souls and the protection of the world. May we never waste suffering, but transform it into an act of love for you and for all humanity. Amen. Saint Paul writes in his second letter to the Corinthians, chapter four, verse seventeen. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. Saint Paul teaches that sufferings endured in union with God are never wasted. What appears small and hidden on earth can carry eternal consequences in the kingdom of heaven. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph fifteen twenty one suffering, a consequence of original sin, acquires a new meaning. It becomes a participation in the saving work of Jesus. The Church reminds us that through Christ, suffering is transformed. When offered in love and united to his passion, it becomes part of his redemptive mission for souls and for the salvation of the world. And now, let us enter into today's passage from the Book of Heaven. Louisa writes I continue in the same state of privation and of abandonment. As I was outside of myself, I saw a flood of water mixed with hail, such that it seemed that several cities were flooded with considerable damage. While seeing this, I was in great consternation because I wanted to prevent that flood, but since I was alone, more so, since I did not have Jesus with me, I felt my poor arms too weak to be able to do it. Then, to my surprise, I saw a virgin coming. It seemed to me that she was from America, and she from one point, I from another, managed to prevent in great part the scourge that threatened us. After this, as we reunited, I saw that virgin with the insignia of the passion, and crowned with the crown of thorns, just as I was, and a person who seemed to be an angel saying, Oh power of the victim's souls, that which is not given to us angels to do, they can do with their sufferings. Oh if men knew the good that comes from them, because they are there for the public and the individual good, they would do nothing but implore God to multiply these souls upon earth. After this, having said to each other that each of us should commend the other to the Lord, we separated. Today's reading opens a hidden window into the spiritual battle taking place behind the scenes of human history. Luisa witnesses a devastating flood threatening entire cities, yet she also discovers something astonishing. Souls united to the passion of Jesus possess a mysterious spiritual power capable of restraining chastisements and obtaining mercy for humanity. The angel declares that victim souls accomplish things even angels cannot do through suffering alone. Why? Because suffering united to Jesus becomes an extension of his redeeming love. This does not mean God delights in pain. Rather, he transforms suffering surrendered in love into grace, reparation, and salvation. Every cross accepted in the divine will becomes spiritually fruitful. In today's world, suffering is often viewed as meaningless or purely negative. Yet heaven sees differently. A hidden soul praying quietly in a hospital room, a mother sacrificing daily for her family, an elderly person offering loneliness to God, or a soul enduring trials with patience and trust, maybe doing more for the salvation of the world than anyone realizes. Louisa and the mysterious virgin from America stand together beneath the insignia of the passion and crowned with thorns. Their union in suffering becomes cooperation in God's mercy. This is also an invitation for us. Living in the divine will means we no longer waste suffering. We place every difficulty into the hands of Jesus and allow him to multiply its value for all souls. A hidden headache, disappointment, fear, humiliation, or sorrow offered in the divine will can become prayer for the church, for families, for nations, and for the conversion of sinners. The world desperately needs souls willing to love sacrificially, not necessarily in extraordinary ways, but faithfully, quietly, and continuously. The saints teach us that suffering without God crushes the soul, but suffering united to Jesus becomes participation in redemption. Today, heaven reminds us that no suffering offered in love is ever lost. Let us pray. When trials come, help me not to complain or become discouraged, but to offer everything for the salvation of souls in the triumph of your kingdom. Lord, give me the grace to believe that even the smallest sacrifice offered with love has eternal value. May my sufferings become prayers. May my sacrifices become acts of reparation. May my daily crosses become channels of mercy for the world. Jesus, crown my soul not with earthly honors, but with fidelity, humility, and trust. Through the immaculate heart of Mary, may all my acts flow into your divine will for the good of every soul, from Adam to the last soul who will exist. And may the hidden sacrifices of countless faithful souls help bring peace, conversion, and holiness to the world. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. The world may never fully see the hidden power of souls united to the passion of Christ, but heaven does. Every prayer, sacrifice, and act of love offered in the divine will becomes part of God's great work of mercy upon the earth. May we learn to transform every suffering into an act of love that glorifies God and helps save souls. Until tomorrow, stay in His will, and your faith will be made anew.
