Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

July 16, 1900 – Volume 3
Luisa writes,
This morning my adorable Jesus was not coming. After much waiting He came and told me: “My daughter, the best thing for you is to commend yourself to Me and to my Will, so that, by commending yourself to Me, since I am peace, even if you saw Me send chastisements you would remain at peace, without feeling any disturbance.” And I: ‘Ah, Lord, You always get there – to chastisements. Placate Yourself once and for all, and no more scourges. Besides, I cannot commend myself to your Will in this regard.’ And He added: “I cannot placate Myself. What would you say if you saw someone naked who, instead of covering his nakedness, paid attention to adorning himself with trinkets, leaving the parts most necessary exposed to nakedness?” And I: ‘I would be horrified at seeing him, and I would certainly blame him.’ And He: “Well then, such are souls. Completely naked, they have no more virtues to cover them, therefore it is necessary that I beat them, scourge them, deprive them, so as to make them come back to their senses and realize the nakedness of their souls, for this is more necessary than the body. And if I did not do this, I would be paying attention to trinkets, like the person you blamed, which are the things that refer to the body, and I would not be paying attention to the most essential thing - the soul, which they have reduced to being so monstrous as to no longer be recognizable.”
After this, it seemed He had a little rope in His hand, and passing it behind my neck He bound me, and then bound His neck to that same rope. He did the same to the heart and the hands, and by this, He seemed to bind me completely to His Will. Having done this, He disappeared.

Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, july sixteenth, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, draw us ever more deeply into your holy will. When our hearts are tempted by fear, confusion, or resistance, grant us the grace to trust your wisdom above our own understanding. Bind our thoughts, our hearts, and our actions to you, so that we may live in the peace that no circumstance can take away. Through Christ our Lord, amen. A reading from the Gospel according to John chapter fourteen verse twenty seven Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph three hundred one with creation, God does not abandon his creatures to themselves. He not only gives them being and existence, but also and at every moment upholds and sustains them in being, enables them to act, and brings them to their final end. Recognizing this utter dependence with respect to the Creator is a source of wisdom and freedom, of joy and confidence. Today's passage invites us to discover the peace that comes from complete confidence in God's providence. Listen now as Louisa recounts another lesson received from Jesus concerning surrender to the divine will. Louisa writes This morning my adorable Jesus was not coming. One of the greatest struggles in the spiritual life is accepting God's will when we do not understand his ways. We often find it easier to trust him when blessings abound, but far more difficult when suffering, correction, and uncertainty enters our lives. In today's passage, Jesus gently teaches Louisa that true peace is not found in favorable circumstances, but in complete abandonment to him. Jesus explains that if Louisa truly entrusts herself to him and to his will, she will remain peaceful even while witnessing events that trouble her heart. This is an extraordinary invitation. Peace is not the absence of trials. It is the fruit of union with God's will. The amazing image Jesus gives of the person decorating himself with trinkets while remaining naked reveals an important spiritual truth. We can become preoccupied with external comforts, appearances, possessions, and even temporary earthly concerns while neglecting the condition of our souls. God, in his mercy, sometimes permits difficulties that awaken us to what truly matters. His purpose is never destruction but restoration. He desires that the soul once again be clothed with faith, hope, charity, humility, and every virtue. Perhaps the most beautiful moment in today's entry is when Jesus binds Louisa to himself with cords around her neck, heart, and hands. This is a vivid picture of life in the divine will. Our thoughts become united with his wisdom. Our hearts beat in harmony with his love. Our works become extensions of his own divine activity. We're no longer living independently, but allowing him to live and operate within us. This offers us a practical examination of conscience. When unexpected difficulties arise today, will I immediately become anxious or will I pause and say, Jesus, I unite myself to your will. Let your peace reign within me. Every inconvenience becomes another opportunity to tighten the loving bond between ourselves and Christ. Living in the divine will is not escaping life's hardships. It's remaining peacefully united to Jesus through every circumstance, trusting that his providence is always working for the good of our souls. The more tightly we allow ourselves to be bound to him, the freer we become from fear, discouragement, and self-will. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, thank you for desiring to unite every part of my life with your divine will. When I'm tempted to resist your plans or become disturbed by events I cannot understand, remind me that your will is perfect love. Bind my mind to your truth, my heart to your sacred heart, and my hands to your holy works. May every thought, every word, and every action today be carried out in union with you, bringing peace to my soul and glory to the Father. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May you find lasting peace by entrusting every joy, every trial, and every moment of your day to the loving embrace of God's divine will. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
