Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

This morning, after spending the whole night and great part of the morning waiting for my adorable Jesus, He was not deigning to come. So, tired of waiting for Him, I tried to go out of my usual state, thinking that it might no longer be Will of God. Almost impatient, while I was trying to go out of it, my benign Jesus moved within my heart, just barely making Himself seen and looking at me in silence. Impatient as I was, I said to Him: ‘My good Jesus, how can You be so cruel! Can there be greater cruelty than this – abandoning a soul prey to the ruthless tyrant of love that makes her live in continuous agony? Oh, how You have changed – from loving into cruel!’ While I was saying this, I saw many mutilated members of people before me, so I added: ‘Ah, Lord, how much mutilated human flesh! How many bitternesses and pains! Ah, would it not have been a lesser cruelty if You had satisfied Yourself in this body of mine, by tearing it into as many pieces for as many divisions as You have caused in these members? Would it not have been a lesser evil to see only one suffer, rather than many poor peoples?’
While I was saying this, Jesus continued to fix on me, as if He were struck – I cannot tell whether He was grieved too – and He said to me: “Yet, this is the beginning of the game; this is still nothing compared to what will come.” Having said this, He flew away from my sight, without letting me see Him any more, leaving me in a sea of bitternesses.

Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, july nineteenth, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, when the path before us seems uncertain, and our hearts wrestle with questions we cannot answer, grant us the grace to remain steadfast in trust. Teach us to surrender every fear into your loving hands, believing that your providence never abandons those who seek to do your will. May every trial become an opportunity to love you more deeply and to bring hope to others. We ask this through Christ our Lord, amen. A reading from the Gospel according to John chapter sixteen, verse thirty three I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage. I have conquered the world. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph two hundred seventy three Only faith can embrace the mysterious ways of God's almighty power. This faith glories in its weaknesses in order to draw to itself Christ's power. The Virgin Mary is the supreme model of this faith, for she believed that nothing will be impossible with God, and was able to magnify the Lord, for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. As we listen today, may our hearts discover that unwavering trust in God becomes a source of peace even when his plans remain hidden. Faith often matures not when every question is answered, but when we choose to remain faithful despite unanswered questions. The Christian life is not built upon understanding every circumstance. It's built upon confidence in the one who sees the beginning and the end at the same time. Living in the divine will teaches us that God's vision extends far beyond our own. We see only a single page, while He is authoring the entire story. What appears confusing today may one day reveal itself as an instrument of grace, purification, protection, or the salvation of souls. This is why trust is not passive resignation. It's an active decision to place our hearts into the Father's hands repeatedly throughout the day. Every disappointment, delay, unexpected suffering, or unanswered prayer becomes another opportunity to say Father, I believe that you are accomplishing something greater than I can presently see. When we resist uncertainty, anxiety often grows louder. But when we surrender uncertainty to the divine will, peace quietly begins to take its place. Peace does not always come because circumstances improve, it comes because our hearts become anchored in the certainty of God's love. This surrender is especially important in our own families, parishes, communities, and throughout the world. We witness conflicts, tragedies, divisions, and suffering that we cannot explain or resolve. Rather than allowing discouragement to overwhelm us, we can unite ourselves with Jesus and become instruments through whom his peace continues to flow. Perhaps today there is something weighing heavily upon your heart. Maybe it's a loved one who has wandered from the faith, an illness that has no easy solution, financial concerns, or simply the burden of not knowing what tomorrow holds. The invitation is not first to solve the problem, the invitation is to entrust the problem to Jesus. This is where the simple phrase let Jesus do becomes a beautiful way of living. It reminds us that God's wisdom exceeds our own. His timing is perfect, and his love never ceases working, even when we cannot perceive it. Every act of surrender expands our capacity to receive his peace and allows his divine will to reign more fully within us. As we continue striving to live in the divine will, may our confidence rest not in our own understanding, but in the goodness of our heavenly Father, who never ceases guiding every soul toward his perfect plan of love. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, I place into your sacred heart every uncertainty, every fear, every burden, and every question that I carry today. Teach me to trust when I cannot see, to hope when I feel discouraged, and to remain faithful when your plans remain hidden from my understanding. May your divine will become the steady foundation of my life, transforming every trial into an opportunity to glorify you. Fill my heart with the peace that only you can give, and make me an instrument of hope for every soul I encounter. Help me to remember each day to let Jesus do, allowing your grace to accomplish what I never could by my own strength. May my life proclaim unwavering confidence in your loving providence until the day I behold you face to face. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May your confidence in God's loving providence grow stronger with each passing day, and may every act of trust draw you ever more deeply into the joy and peace of living in His divine will.
