Speaker 1:

Hey there, happy new year. I just wanted to do a guided meditation with you. If you're willing to play, I think it might help as we get moving into our new year. You know there are a lot of preconceived notions about what the year will bring. Should bring, has to bring, and I want you just to take a moment, just to slow down a little bit and remember that you're already enough. You're already exactly where you need to be. I believe that life is a wide, open stage just waiting to be set right. Whatever stories you want to create and whatever roles you want to play are up to you. You are the designer. You've got everything you need. Just dream.

Speaker 1:

I want you just to close your eyes for a moment and imagine yourself sitting in that theater. Imagine yourself settling into that beautiful middle orchestra center seat, looking at the empty stage. Or maybe, if you want to assume back a bit, maybe you're sitting in the balcony. Wherever you are, just imagine yourself there and take a deep breath in and, as you exhale, imagine yourself sinking more comfortably into the seat. Notice whether your arms are propped on the edges of the seat or maybe they're on your lap. Maybe your arms are crossed, maybe they're wrapped around the seat next to you. Maybe they're wide open. Maybe you're leaning back, perhaps you're leaning in, eager to see what is going to unfold on that stage, again, with your eyes still closed.

Speaker 1:

I want you to imagine, build it, design it. It can be whatever you want it to be and if there's something that you want to change, change it, just like we changed the lights or the light cues or the spike marks on the stage. Maybe what you're thinking of is something that you want to star in. Maybe it's about coming out. Maybe it's about stepping into the spotlight yourself. Or it could be that you've been in the spotlight for a long time and maybe you'd rather just stay sitting and directing and producing from the other side of the proscenium. Perhaps you really like to be organized and in control. Maybe you want to be more of a stage manager in this production. And keep in mind, you don't have just one production Right, you can create as many things as you want as many scenes, as many scripts, as many rewrites, as many characters, as many costumes, to try on. Whatever you want. It's limitless.

Speaker 1:

Again, taking a deep breath in, I want you to imagine that house lights are going to have, that the lights are dimming and there's a hush, and suddenly you can hear everything. You can hear your heart beating. You can feel your blood forcing through your beautiful veins. Maybe you feel the temperature of the air coming in through your nose and out through your mouth. Maybe you want to just circle, circle your head or even move your arms, eyes open or close.

Speaker 1:

There's no right way to do this, there's no right way, and when there's no right way, there's no wrong way. It's all about the beautiful place where there's space. It's for you to create whatever you want to put out in this world, whether you're an artist, professionally, or simply working to be the artist of your life. You've got this and you know what the cool thing is. The cool thing is all we have to do is stop for a moment and recognize what truly is and, from that place, decide who we want to be.

Speaker 1:

If your eyes are still closed, I invite you to open them. You don't have to, and this is my open invitation to you to give yourself permission to open up and access all that you can be in this world. I'm going to count backwards from five, four, three, two and one. Open your eyes, let's do this. We get to do this. You guys, come on, I got you. You know where to find me, you know where to follow me. Reach out, respond, engage. Don't sit on the sidelines, get into it, let's go. So much love, so much light. I'm grateful for you guys. Take care.
