Lisa speaks with world renowned master ballet teacher, Russian superstar Madame Olga Vaginova about learning to love yourself, finding connection and making the world a better place one "one pirouette at a time".
Born in the desolate snow capped mountains of Russia, Olga was just five years old when her mother Daria recognized her talent. When Olga leapt into a full split across a frozen river to save a baby coyote from drowning, her mother knew her daughter had a rare gift. At the age of fourteen, Olga was the youngest ballerina to ever join the ranks of the Great Russian Ballet and that same year to perform the title role of "Giselle." During her legendary career she performed all the full length ballets and won numerous prizes. Madame Olga resides in Manhattan and is in high demand for her distinctive teaching style which stays true to the purity of Russian ballet, while at the same time pushing artistic boundaries to evolve dance into the future. She brings joy and laughter to ballet - with hopes of students reaching their true potential. No matter your age or level, all are welcome into Olga’s magical world.
