Reforesting Faith: The Trees of Scripture, Session 4
Pastor Carolyn Hetrick of Grace Lutheran Church, State College, PA leads the fourth of a five session Bible study on trees in Scripture and what they tell us about God, our place in creation and abundant life.
This episode we examine the fig trees of both the Old and New Testaments as symbols of separation, sin and failure, but also possibility, prosperity, healing and peace. We share some fig trivia and may ruin your enjoyment of Fig Newtons.
Next week is our final week where we will explore resurrection trees.
