Welcome And The Real Meaning Of Value
SPEAKER_00Welcome back to Simply Health and Wellness Podcast. I'm Dr. Jaguerrin Knight Bryant from Mustard Seed Chiropractic. And today we're diving into something that could completely change the way that you view your health. Value. Not just the cost of care, but the true value of chiropractic and why some patients experience life-changing results while others feel they are just feeling stuck. If you've ever wondered, why am I not getting better as fast as I'd hoped? Or is chiropractic care really worth it? Well, this episode here today is for you. So let's start here. Value is not price. Value, you see, guys, is what you get relative to what you invest. And when it comes to your health, the return is everything. And let me ask you this what's the value of sleeping through the night without pain? Being able to pick up your kids without any hesitation. Going through your workday without headaches, migraines, stiffness. That's not just comfort, you guys. That is called quality of life. In chiropractic care, when it is done well and correctly, it is not just about pain relief. It's actually about restoring function, improving the nervous system's performance, slowing down degeneration, and helping your body feel the way it was designed to. So here's the reality. Let's talk a little bit honestly here. Most people miss it because there's three major reasons why patients don't get great results. And number one, you know this to be true, it's inconsistency. You see, healing does not happen randomly, it happens through repetition and consistency. If someone comes in once every couple of weeks or so, you know, or only when the pain spikes, they're not correcting the problem. They're just wanting to manage their symptoms. And you see, that's like going to the gym once every three weeks and then expecting some kind of transformation. Number two is this lack of understanding. If a patient really doesn't understand what's wrong, what's happening, what the condition is, why it matters, and what it truly takes to fix it, I've learned over time the patient will not commit. They literally will have a commitment issue. And this is why we emphasize here in the practice education for our patients. We want you to know what's happening before you get here, when you're here and after you leave. We do x-rays. We do insight scans to literally provide insight to your nervous system and how it's actually functioning. And then we create care like clear care plans, not just a couple visits here or there. We actually sell, we actually create and we actually manage care plans. No plan, no care. We don't even accept cases without care plans. And it's all because when patients can see the problem, they have an actual plan to get it corrected, they value the solution. Number three, when people are treating chiropractic like it's an expense instead of an investment, and this is huge. You see, if you see chiropractic as just something that you pay for, you'll quit when it gets inconvenient. But if you truly see it as something that protects your future, as an investment to seeing yourself function on a whole nother level, patience tend to stay consistent. And consistency is truly where the results will live. Now, the real problem here is this forward head posture. Let's talk about it for a little bit and talk about what's actually happening inside of most people's bodies. It's this forward head posture. This is one of the biggest silent stressors in today's world. Phones, laptops, desktops, and long work hours. When your head starts to shift forward, even just a few inches, you guys, it dramatically increases the stress that's on your spine. Your head should weigh anywhere between about 10 to 12 pounds, but just a few inches forward, and it will start to feel like your head is 30 to 40 pounds of pressure on your neck, mid-back, and even to the low back. Over time, this will lead to what we call disc degeneration, nerve pressure, headaches, neck and upper back pain, and even reduced energy and focus. And here's the key this doesn't happen overnight, you guys, but neither does the fix happen overnight, which is why short-term thinking only leads to long-term problems. So I want to flip this for you here. And this is why some of the patients really thrive here in our clinic. And it's the question why do they really get the results? Number one, when patients get great results, they actually follow the plan. They trust the process. Even when they don't feel better right away, they stay consistent because healing happens whenever you actually address what's happening underneath the surface first. Number two, they think long-term, they understand this is not just about my pain, this is about my function. If I can understand how it functions and get it, the function corrected, well, the pain as a side benefit is going to be relieved. They're not just chasing temporary relief. These people in our practice are looking to build healthier bodies, and I want to encourage you to do the same. They also see their health as a responsibility. They don't wait until things are starting to fall apart. They start to take their action early, and because of that, they don't just get out of pain and they stay out of pain. One thing that I've always recognized is true is that people don't take responsibility for their bodies in many cases because they got it for free. I had a mentor tell me this one time. You don't value it because you got it for free. And it's true. Most people, all of us, we got our bodies for free. We didn't have to work for it. We didn't have to put any energy in in and of ourselves to get our own bodies. And therefore, we don't really look at it as a true uh investment, as something to truly care for, a 100% responsibility. And therein lies the problem. So we have to relook and understand what are what I am? You are your body, your nervous system, your thoughts, your feelings, your emotions, how you interact. And it is your responsibility. You have the ability to respond appropriately to different stimuli to increase or decrease your actual experience here on the earth. So the real conversation lies in here. And I've seen this time and time again here in our clinic here, Musters Seek Hi Practic. Two patients walk in with similar issues. One will commit to care, the other will come when they can. And then months later, one of the patients are thriving like never before. They're moving better, they're living better, they're functioning the way God designed them to. And the other one's still stuck in the same cycle, asking the same questions. And I'm sorry to tell you guys, the difference is not look, it is value perception and consistency. One person truly sees the value, they understand if they remain consistent and sow the seeds, well, it's only a matter of time until they reap the actual harvest. And so my encouragement to you today is not just to ask yourself, how much does this thing cost? No, the real question is to ask, what is my health worth long term? Because the truth is this either you're investing in your health right now or you're gonna pay for it later.
