In this week's episode, Kelli uses ChatGPT to plan a five-day WDW vacation for two adults who focus on food and a family of four with toddlers who focus on experiences. The results are interesting! Chris gives us an update and raises some important questions about the new Doctor Who!

mean, they've they've posted POV videos online, so I know that people are writing the thing for somebody if somebody is somebody's driving, nobody's riding it they're posting POV Now fortunately,

they have also POV had to evacuate people both days that they've been doing these freebies

Kelli:

the ride just needs to be reset and start over and they have had to evacuate people

I had to reboot the whole thing. A big salt dome PC. I'm not I don't know. They just they've had to, you know, take people off the ride because it wasn't working right. And tomorrow I think cast members, friends and family can

to cast members can go in right all right and then they're going to have like select Media ride can then I think we'll start seeing the annual pass holder and DVC type events right okay well the 28th happens

I mean, yes, you can now at least for a limited time. You can get Ben yeas at two different locations in the Magic Kingdom. And its own I mean they're there for the opening of the ride. But they're not really at the right so like cuz her restaurant you know it's

Kelli:

not like you smell being yeas as you go through like on like on the roller coaster at Disneyland where you smell the credit coaster you smell the cookies then you get off disgusting. Jack's nom nom Yeah, it's disgusting for you honey because this is what happens when you when you eat raw cookie dough and get salmonella. Still lovely for everybody else. Okay.

So fryers knuck will be selling Binya A's, which is obviously over in Fantasyland. Yeah fryer snug isn't no and then the golden outpost which is over again eventually Sorry. Yeah. Okay. Or frontier land area. Yeah, that you can get this so you can get those there. But you know Tiana that her restaurant that it's touting is not actually opening in the Magic Kingdom. There was some talk that Pecos Bill cafe was refurbed No, that appears to actually be happening at

least not right. You're gonna have to have been yeas somewhere. Yeah, to be honest. Ride. Yes,

I mean, come on. So for a limited time we will have been yeas in the park but

Kelli:

that's what her story is based on. She makes the best being yeas in New Orleans. So how do you have a Tiana themed area with no being yeas?

Chris:

I know when they sell little mint juleps it's lovely. It's absolutely lovely. So where's my mint juleps? Am I making shape vignette days? Disneyworld?

Well dude, I gotta say. They're gonna say well, for a limited time. They're gonna be at the Golden Oak outpost. And then when you leave there and you get halfway over to Tomorrowland, stop off at friars looking gets in get a refill. Swear.

that soar literally launched at Disney Springs. This is the drone show at Disney Springs. Okay, there's a great article out there on blog Mickey there that tries to answer the question. Is this show worth is it worth going to see? And their conclusion? Spoiler was there Yes, it is worth going to see the nine minute show. So it's a little less than half as long as your nighttime spectaculars in other places, but we

did we think that Disney was going to launch something that wasn't worth going to see. That seems like a rather ridiculous thing. He

Chris:

did blog, Mickey is realizing that their platform is online and that's where the crazies are. So they're trying to go ahead and soften that blow palette for the people that are already on Windows. And so the video looks incredible. The photos that they shared on their site look fantastic. It's nine minutes. It's also at a par at a location where you didn't have to pay to get it for free. Disney Springs is free. So there's a viewing area down there on the west side near the arrow file and in House of Blues and all that. And, man, it looks really cool. Is it sort of over the main so that lake area that's out there? Yes, you're sort of looking directly across the lake at the Saratoga Springs Resort over there. And then sort of in between there over the lake is where the drone show is. And it's generally about the things in Disney that fly or take place in the sky or whatever. So everything from Dumbo and Star Wars right you see a big death star up there shooting lasers out of it. Even the rocketeer makes an appearance which is that's a deep cut so just the fact that they get so many characters in this show it plays nicely and it's Yeah, twice every night. Okay,

so So is is a free drone show worth it? Yes, the free drone show is worth it. Don't be such Debbie Downer people.

But there's one animal kingdom too and I talk about it every day. Oh my God, my frozen yogurt. But every single time we go

the bird thing is the bird show. You know, they used to have the big bird show.

Chris:

No, it is not over there at all. Because I know that's why I didn't that's why I didn't get it. Yes, I know. Are you Frozen Coke is Asia. That is not on Discovery Island. Right as you walk into the park. I thought I covered that.

Kelli:

I know you know the difference between Asia discovery I know you know, just walking around from booth to booth. Getting drugged wherever it is. You want me to get

drugs. But I used to stop off at the Frozen Coke place which is in Asia near the bird show. Yes.

Kelli:

That's where Doug and Russell are. They've got it sounds Yes. Okay.

Chris:

But that's also where Doug and Russell would meet people. Yes. Over in that area. The actual Doug and Russell. Russell still over there. Doug talking, Doug is now somewhere is now over. Right as you come into the park, you cross over the bridge, and you see the tree of life there because

Kelli:

I'll be honest, that's all we need is more congestion right there in that zone. Like he should be over where his

Chris:

statue is. Well, he's not he's overweight. He's mingling with the people and chatting with him. Literally chatting up. He's got his he's got his collar on. So when he talks his collar lights up. I like that. Yeah. Are you sure it sounds like maybe you know,

Kelli:

A little more congestion. There's one more gas station around here. Paul Paul Are you ready for your Tomorrowland? This I'm excited about this. This is a really interesting, it's an interesting

Kelli:

segment. Yeah. So I've been sort of deep diving into AI use lately generative AI. With my job, you know, I need to be really familiar with these types of tools. I'm actually going to teach a class A study abroad using AI next semester. So um, I mean, I next May and I'm very excited about it. So I thought, let's have a I plan a Disney vacation and see what comes up

Chris:

so much. So I've also timesaving maybe, maybe,

Kelli:

maybe I fit it to props and I want to just show you how they both shake out. So one of them is give me a five day walt disney world vacation for two adults focusing on food and drink. Okay, and the other one is give me a five day disney world vacation with a family of four that has toddlers balancing popular rides, and fun experiences.

Chris:

That's your prompt. Okay, those

Kelli:

are my prompts that I gave it. Okay, so day one. Day one this is I use chat GPT I also tested this with Gemini. I thought chat GPT did a better job, but I am going to point out where there are some errors. Okay. Okay. So on day one. Chat GPT has the adults going to Disney Springs and the family of four going to Magic Kingdom. Interesting. Okay, well, day is so yeah, there every day is different. Okay, so first day Disney Springs the adult are arriving at Disney Springs. And it says Have breakfast at the Daily poutine now this is a mistake. The daily poutine is only open for lunch and dinner. Stupid AI and why would you have poutine for breakfast anyway, that seems really random.

Kelli:

Then they've got you. I

Chris:

mean, I would. Then they got

Kelli:

you having lunch at Morimoto, Asia, and dinner at Wine Bar George. And they're suggesting that in the afternoon, you explore the shops and in the evening you enjoy live music or catch a show at one of the entertainment venues that's for the adults. So I think they did a pretty good job there. We would not eat two big meals like that. But you know, it's cool. I tell him to focus on food. For the family of four with toddlers. They're starting at Magic Kingdom. They are first going to ride gentle rides. It says Begin with gentle rides like Dumbo and magic carpets of Aladdin. Meet the classic Disney characters like Mickey Minnie at the town square theater. Then have lunch at be our guests. Did in the afternoon. Explore more family friendly, friendly attractions like Peter Pan's Flight and under the sea journey of Little Mermaid, then catch the festival of fantasy parade for colorful floats and Disney characters. Then in the evening, watch happily ever after a spectacular firework show. Okay, so I think they did good. That's not trying to cram into mind. It's a fairly simple itinerary. And when we get to the end, they have additional tips and you'll see why there's sort of gaps there. Okay. Okay, day two, we've got the adults going to Epcot in the family of four with kids going to animal kingdom. So the adults at Epcot are going to have breakfast at law house Mulan xarray patisserie in the France pavilion. So they say start your day with French pastry and coffee, which we've never done. And I think that sounds like a lovely idea. But that doesn't open until 11. Right? Oh, I

don't know. I think you're right. Right. All late. Although

Kelli:

I think they weigh I think they should have had you haven't breakfast over the lion. But yeah, maybe so but let me let me keep going. So in the afternoon lunch at via Napoli, and explore the world showcase and sample snacks and drinks from different countries. And then in the evening dinner at LaSalle. Yay. And enjoy the nighttime spectacular, which it calls harmonious. So again, not completely updated. So you can sort of see where the gap so all these people say, Oh, AI is gonna take up the world. I'm telling you people not yet. Not to get

the nighttime show, right?

Kelli:

Okay. For the family of four with toddlers, they're going to animal kingdom. They're going to start with Kilimanjaro safaris to see exotic animals. I agree with that. Then they're going to have lunch at tusker house. Now, I think that's a mistake. I think they should have done breakfast at tusker house to experience character dining and then do the safari do

Chris:

it early. So you get it in the Parker lease. You're so much smarter than AI.

Kelli:

So then in the afternoon, they've got you writing the world of avid in riving, the Navi river journey because you just got toddlers and then visit the affection section at Ricky's planet watch to pet animals. And then in the evening it says watch the nighttime spectacular rivers of light which of course is no longer there. So again, right and that rivers of light has been gone a while as has harmonious. So you would think that will be updated but in general, you can see they're not packing the day with the toddlers. They're not packing the day and they are focusing on good food for the adults. They're just not really paying it too. addition to the times the restaurants are open. Okay, day three it's got the adults going to Magic Kingdom and the family for toddlers going to Epcot interesting okay so the adult start off at Magic Kingdom having breakfast at Sleepy Hollow enjoy a Nutella and fresh fruit waffles.

That's on point that's on point that

Kelli:

it's really great. Then they've got you having lunch at the Plaza, which is a classic American lunch at this charming eatery. They also suggesting the afternoon and join classic rides and attraction around Magic Kingdom. And then in the evening dinner at Be our guest and watch the magic kingdom's firework show for magical into your day. So here's what I will say I do think they're not packing really either location and they are focusing what I'm asking for. For the one that has toddlers at Epcot, they've got you starting with the season Nemo and friends and turtle talk with crush, which I think is great. Then they've got you having lunch with at Garden grill, which is a rotating character dining experience with Chippendale the land also great. In the afternoon, they're saying explore a future world with attractions like Spaceship Earth and journey into an imagination with figment against toddler friendly. Then they say go stroll around the World Showcase enjoying live entertainment and kid friendly activities. Here they say in in the day with Epcot forever and nighttime spectacular. So I think it's interesting that they got that right tool. But they told the adults harmonious Yeah, right. So again, AI is luminous, right? So it's very interesting, not perfect, but still interesting day for it's got the adults going to Disney's Animal Kingdom and the family of four going to Hollywood Studios. So at Animal Kingdom, they're saying start with your breakfast at tusker house. Again, that's where you should be. Afternoon Yak and Yeti restaurant another great option and dinner at Tiffany's. Now I will say I do think that we've we've messed this up. This isn't great. You need to be doing lunch at subtlely canteens and then just spending the rest of the day and Nomad lounge. So I do feel like hours and hours. They miss the moment here for the for the adults at Animal Kingdom. For the family of four of Hollywood Studios. They're starting with toy store, Toy Story mania and alien swirling saucers. Then they're doing lunch at sci fi dine in in the afternoon rides in Toy Story land with Slinky Dog dash and meeting characters at Disney Junior dance party. And then they say in the evening with the nighttime show. Fantastic. So again, I think they did a pretty good job and they're not packing it super super thing. So last day for both people, okay, the adults are ending in Hollywood studio the family with four with toddlers resort relaxation, which I think is smart or really smart. So the adults in Hollywood studios are going to start with breakfast at docking bay food and cargo. Now you're right. And but then they don't have you doing lunch and dinner there. Which I do think could be a mistake but at least they breakfast lunch and dinner all at right they do have you starting at docking bay food and cargo that got you doing lunch at 50s primetime Cafe, which I think I would do sci fi and then I've got you to dinner at Ogas cantina Ogas cantina does not have entrees. So that's more of a drink place and small bites. It's not dinner, and they didn't include they didn't include sci fi and I think they're missing an opportunity here for the Hollywood Brown Derby. For the adult for the adults. Yeah, yeah. For the family with toddlers at the resort relaxation they're saying for the morning, enjoy a leisurely morning at your resort pool or take a stroll around the resort grounds for lunch have lunch at one of the resorts family friendly dining options. In the afternoon. Participate in resort activities like pool games or arts and crafts. And in the evening, enjoy a special dinner at your resort or head to Disney Springs for dining and entertainment. Perfect.

That is a really good day. Yeah,

Kelli:

I think they did a good job there. So now they also give you tips for each additional tips or general tips. So for adults, the additional tips are make reservations. Use mobile ordering. Drink responsibly and stay hydrated throughout the day back and consider resort dining because it's often really great and it's not as crowded as the parks. Yes, for the kids. They say Here are tips use rider switch. Take advantage of rider switch for popular ride so parents can take turns riding while the other watches the kids play on rest breaks toddlers, mainly naptime, so plan for midnight breaks back at the resort. Character dining experiences are a great way to meet characters without waiting in line. Long lines and use fast glass and g plus.

Chris:

That's good advice, I think, really did a pretty good job. They did a pretty good the names of some of the nighttime shows wrong, but the nighttime shows are there. Yeah,

Kelli:

and most of the I think they didn't necessarily look at the timings for a lot of the restaurants. But the concept is right. I feel like overall, the concept of this is what you can expect to do in a day with small kids. This is what you can do in a day with two adults focusing on food.

Chris:

And obviously you could be you know, more precise about the prompt. If you wanted to experience adventure rides or more Oh,

Kelli:

yes, you can get super specific with the prompts. You can say give me exact restaurants to eat at, give me the best time to eat at those restaurants. Give me a vacation focused on to focusing on food with no seafood. Yeah, like you get really, really specific into those prompts. So you know what I would say play around with it, even if you're a seasoned Disney traveler, because you might find things that you've never really thought of doing. You might be like, Oh, that that does sound like a fun day. I might give that a go.

Chris:

And you know what, I've also been playing around with this a lot for a project I'm working on and have a full on conversation. Oh, yes, it will build off of its previous answers. These questions right

Kelli:

revise this itinerary to include XY and Z. Make sure this itinerary includes Toy Story mania, because that's my favorite ride, whatever right? It can get, you can get really, really specific.

Chris:

And it's sort of this is what Jeannie plus was hopeful of being too because the idea was, tell me what you like the most. And I'll build a day for you. Whether you buy lightning lanes or not.

Kelli:

Well, Genie plus should be smarter, because it's got access to actual Disney. So yeah, so Genie plus isn't going to recommend a restaurant that you can't go to it's not going to get the nighttime spectacular name Roger. And it is going to tell you it's going to know the actual wait times it rides in restaurants, right, Genie plus should be smarter. But what I'm suggesting is planning a trip that maybe is a little bit different than what you've done before. And putting some different prompts into chat GPT just to sort of see what it comes up with. Maybe you like it, maybe you don't. But it might be a really cool way to get different ideas or the

very least the the big scope of your day is sort of defined for you. Yes. The 10,000 foot view.

Kelli:

Yes. And it was I thought realistic about what you can actually achieve in a day at Disney.

I'm gonna be talking about Doctor Who. Okay,

we've really gotten into the season we

really have gotten into this season and so gosh, I meant to say we're gonna be talking about the new doctor today that you're gonna say a Doctor Who and I was gonna say

Kelli:

so when it was announced that Disney was going to be partnering with them and helping to create these Doctor Who episodes we did a segment that sort of just scratched the surface on on explaining Dr. Hill so there's a there's an episode back in you know in our history there where we talked about sort of who Dr. Who is and sort of makes it makes Doctor Who interesting. But now that should he got wha has had a few episodes under his belt. Things good time to revisit and discuss what we know what we don't. And we are I think we're five full episodes of his maybe into his time, and mostly is what we don't know. Okay, really. So let's just go through some of it. Who is the doctor? And does he even know who he is? Right? Jodie Whitaker's 13th Doctor effectively rewrote the lore slash history of the doctor. Right in the episode titled The timeless child, we learn that a child was found by a Gallifreyan scientist near a galactic monument. This doctor has now refer to himself as adopted multiple times in the new series. All of this sort of suggesting that he's not originally Gallifreyan and you know, if you've followed it as long as we have his whole history with Gallifreyan, destroying gala Frey and all in all this stuff, and I'm the last time lord. And now after Jodie Whitaker's 13th Doctor, we don't even know,

Kelli:

though I think he's Gallifreyan I think he just he's adopted on Gallifrey. Like,

that's not where he was found potentially his

Kelli:

parents might not have been Gallifrey okay, maybe

it is. You know, we we also learned from the 13th doctor that they likely had a number of lives before, who we recognize as the first doctor, right in 1963. Right, she met the fugitive doctor, which was supposedly predated the one that we've always considered number one that launched in 1963. And the story is the lore is that he was part of this special division call or the special military ops known as the division. And then each time they would do a mission, they would wipe their memories. And so the first doctor is the first doctor that our doctor remembers. So, again, who is he also in this season? He has, they've really referred to elements of that first doctor's experience a couple of times also in this season, okay. Right. So the second episode where they fight the maestro, he mentions, yeah, I'm here right now. They were in 1963. Right. He mentioned right, I live on right, whatever, Lane. Yes. So what does he even really know about his own pre number one existence? It's interesting to me. What are the full effects of the BI generation we've never seen a regeneration like this doctors before, where the previous doctor still exists. But now there's a new doctor. I

Kelli:

think I missed that.

Chris:

He was fighting. Neil Patrick Harris is toymaker character. And when he was regenerating, he actually split apart and that's how David Tennant's time. That's where we last left David Tennant's he was just now living he was he was able to finally rest and relax. And he was living with the nobles. He was living with Donna and her daughter Rose noble. Right. Right. I also looked ahead to like who's going to be in future episodes of the season? And rose noble comes as one

Kelli:

of them. Oh, interesting. Yes.

Chris:

Okay. So how does you know so he he's like also talked about how he responds differently. He feels a little more fear. He, you know, he told Ruby recently. I don't want my soul to be split like that. I can't go through that again. Right. So just Yeah, a little bit of a different impact on the

Kelli:

doctor. Yeah, one of the episodes he was like, why am i But why am I scared? Why am I scared? Am I scared? Yeah.

Chris:

Speaking of Ruby Sunday, who is she? And she even human? I

Kelli:

really want to go back to that episode where he scanned her body and where we actually get to see the results because I don't I think she is related to him. I think she's potentially his granddaughter

Chris:

right? He they he has mentioned Susan his granddaughter I think more than once in this season and I don't remember them ever talking about her since like that first doctor. Yeah, honestly. But that he you know he's I've got family out there like very that's

Kelli:

it I don't ever remember other than River Song. Right? Right. He's never you know, been in a you know, real. There's relationship where you think he could have had kids or whatever, right? So is Ruby Sunday a descendant of River Song?

Chris:

Or Is Ruby Sunday? Like he says, maybe she died when all the other people from Gallifrey died, but he doesn't really know his granddaughter who he calls his granddaughter Susan. Maybe she never died. Maybe she This is a regeneration. Right of her maybe that's maybe that's a Ruby Sunday? Yes. But we know that she can make it snow. Not necessarily intentionally. We know that. She unbeknownst to her even can defy time and physics right from the episode recently called 73 yards, where she was the woman who was standing 73 yards away. And spoilers spoilers. Sorry. We know. Right? So she just wherever recently was this woman was right. Able to travel that way. Right? Creepy too.

Kelli:

So we don't I mean, it seems to be though consensus that Ruby Sunday isn't not human, I think yeah, Ruby Sunday has to be some type of alternate life form.

Chris:

It also appears really feel bad about the spoilers thing upfront. It also appears that the TARDIS sort of struggles with Ruby Sunday also, spoilers in that same episode the daughter disappears and she can't get back into the TARDIS won't let her back in. And then there was another moment in the one where they fought Maestro in 1963, where they exit the TARDIS on Abbey Road. And the tortoise makes a funny noise just as she steps out of the TARDIS and it catches the doctor's attention. He's like, I wonder what's going on. You know? There's something about her also the TARDIS who we know is sort of got its own mind of its own right. Is not quite comfortable with. Right. What is the Pantheon or who are the Pantheon? The these are the villains are the toymaker was Was he theorizes as part of the Pantheon. Maestro is a member? Is it the Trickster the Trickster was a character from The Sarah Jane mysteries that was a spin off of Dr. Who. These are definitely more supernatural, fantastical villains than alien. Right. And they were possibly be released by number 14 David Tennant when he and Don and oboe went to the edge of the universe recently, and he made this like he threw salt or something and made something about like a supernatural type thing. And he's like, I really shouldn't have used like supernatural stuff or like a superstition at the edge of the universe. I don't know what that might have done. And so the thing is that maybe he accidentally released to the Pantheon into our world. She had that steep. I

Kelli:

know. Like I love Doctor Who just for short of the plot and everything. I just I don't feel like I appreciate it enough for all these little all the answer

Chris:

interweaving storylines, and that's the song. I love. I love those little easter eggs and callbacks. Who is Mrs. Flood?

Kelli:

Chris:

with that. And who is Susan twist? I mean, Susan twist is a real person that is playing a role, but she plays a different role in every episode. I think something's

Kelli:

going on Ruby Sunday's mom and grandma too. I don't think they're quite interesting, right? Interesting, because they seem just way okay. With some man showing up in a box in the middle of their house. I mean, I think there's something going on there.

Chris:

So like, I wonder if Susan twist like the Maestro and the toymaker both referenced another member of pantheon. The oldest one one of them calls it and the one who waits is was I wonder if Susan twist is that was that one? Otherwise how does she keep appearing and as a different person every year everywhere they go

Kelli:

so weird. And we got Susan twist and Miss flood mixed

Chris:

up I thought but they weren't. Yeah, Mrs. Flood is yet another mystery.

Kelli:

ageist. You were like all women look alike.

Chris:

It was it was purely I know, I was bad on me. That on me. Instead of one big mystery. It's two big mysteries. I think it's many many big mystery clearly we have no answers to these questions

Kelli:

and twist Who's the doctor and there's only a couple will be Sunday. There's only a couple more episodes left the season. I think it's going to be a fairly big cliffhanger.

Chris:

Oh yeah. had to wait too long between these seasons.

Kelli:

But at least now we don't have to like you know, like marking get the episode

Chris:
