A super color, super whatever the internal thing is.
Chris:This is the super color, fragileistic, awesome Disney podcast, where, each week we discuss, you guessed it, Disney things you
Kelli:know, things you don't know, and things you didn't know you needed to know.
Chris:Well, as Walt would say, the way to get it started is to quit talking and begin doing. Oh, wait, wait,
Kelli:wait, I can do this. Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor. Man tenga say. Alejaro de las puertas, welcome aboard Disney. Fam,
Chris:hello out there. Disney. Fam. My name is Chris and I'm Kelli. Welcome to this week's episode of the super Kelli, fragileistic, awesome Disney Podcast.
Kelli:I'm wearing my orange bird ears today, just to welcome in spring. I hear you because, man, did we have a weird week, like it was like 83 on Monday and Tuesday, and then we had a blizzard on blizzard
Chris:that dropped a foot of ice and snow. So
Kelli:weird, the weather in Nebraska back up to 70
Chris:by Friday. It is cookie dicks crazy. So I
Kelli:wanted to welcome in the spring with my orange bird ears. They are not on topic or topic adjacent, not even, not even remotely related to the topic, but they're always welcome, always welcome. Welcome spring. Hopefully
Chris:it sticks. Yes, we had lots of downloads this week. We're just having an amazing download time period here. We're so grateful. Middletown, Ohio wants a major center for steel production, home to the arm Coast steel mill in the Cincinnati metro area, also home to major federal politician that we won't get into? Okay? I'm sure that they're not proud of that. No, liberal Kansas,
Kelli:the city's name is liberal, liberal. Oh my gosh, that's fantastic.
Chris:Once the broom corn capital of the world, you know broom corn,
Kelli:the broom corn capital of the world, also known as sorghum. Know
Chris:what that is, either. But know what that is. In 1910 hard winter wheat overtook it as the crop of choice in Liberal Kansas.
Kelli:So they no longer grow Broom Corn, right? They grow wheat, the hard winter
Chris:wheat. I don't know if they still do that either. That was in 1910 that the broom corn fell out of fashion. Now I want to know what Broom Corn is, sorghum, whatever that is. Corum, New York. Corum, Corum, C O, R, A, M, okay, the hamlet in Brookhaven on Long Island in New York. Long Island, Long Island, nice. Most concede that it was named for a Native American Chief under whose jurisdiction that area once rested. He was sometimes called when,
Kelli:okay, that's interesting. And
Chris:Bogota, Colombia. Oh,
Kelli:Columbia, welcome Bogota. I
Chris:know it's good one. That's awesome. My best friend's mom was born in Bogota. Really, I think my best friend was actually born in Bogota. That's awesome, yeah? Uh, vibrant, sprawling, high altitude capital in Colombia. Just very cool, beautiful. Looking through the pictures went down quite the rabbit hole. It was just, it was beautiful. That's fantastic, yeah, so welcome to the good folks of Bogota, Colombia. Yeah, and it
Kelli:gives the news, okay, tight, 35
Chris:huge fire broke out at the Franks Pavilion at Epcot yesterday. Oh, yeah, what
Kelli:did they save? The bread
Chris:is like, how it's okay. Just tell me if my house is okay. It is, tell me they say bread. Just saw these huge, really dark smoke plumes coming out from behind, like, where the remys that new area, okay, but it was, it was by 730 last night. It was extinguished, and they were already reopening guest areas there. It was a cooler backstage that had caught fire. Wow, but there were no injuries. So all that
Kelli:ironic cooler Fire, fire we it's, it's weird how
Chris:coolers can do that. So the Disney oversight district will meet this coming Friday to likely vote to support $500,000 of investment that will go towards the sunshine corridor train project that will connect the MCO airport to Disney Springs, fantastic. So the Florida Department of Transportation requires a project development and environmental study before the project can get funding from the state to move forward. So the Central Florida commuter rail is seeking $6 million for that study. The oversight committee will meet on Friday to approve$500,000 towards that universal had already pledged 2 million towards that Seminole County and City of Orlando. Pledge 500k each. So far, they've raised five and a half million. Okay? That would run from the airport MCO towards the Orange County Convention Center, Sea World and epic universe, universal new thing, yeah. And then it would turn south towards Disney Springs. Okay,
Kelli:that you could get off for universal I think
Chris:that would be good. Yeah, yeah. And so the environmental study could take as many as much as two years itself, and then you're looking if, if it gets greenlit, you're looking at another four to five years after that of train construction. A lot of swamp land out there. There is a lot you don't want to disturb any Kelli splitters and stuff like that, right?
Kelli:Yeah, you don't want to disturb any kind of people, you know, animals that are endangered and living out there. So,
Chris:so there was a shareholder meeting, I guess, this past week that Bob Iger spoke at, and someone asked about the high ticket prices. Oh, right for for theme parks, okay? And he, he didn't really, you know he's, he's not gonna say, Well, yeah, I agree that ticket prices are too high and we're gonna bring them down. No, no, what? What he, well, he did lean heavily into was that they believe that the value of a Disney theme park ticket is much higher than other things you might spend those same dollars on, like, say, a concert ticket or a ball game, right, right? You're, you're gonna spend, yeah, concert tickets, or even more concert tickets today are crazy, yeah, through the roof. And, you know, to go to a go to an NFL game, or even a college football game or, right? Yeah, you're going to spend a lot of money. So, yeah, maybe there's a point there. We all, we all like what we like, right? He also mentioned that there are more major projects underway right now at Disney than there have ever been. I believe that in park history. And so I started thinking, well, is that? Is that right? Well, it might be. I believe it. Yeah, with what they're doing, it the Magic Kingdom to try to expand there. What they're doing at Animal Kingdom to try to expand there. They're getting rid of that Dino land area. What they're doing at Hollywood studios to replace that Muppets area with a new monsters inc area, yeah, and there's a lot of other things, so big stuff at almost every day, stuff like these are, these are big undertakings at these parks. So, yeah, I mean, there's, there's a lot going on. And he says, you know, the the whole point of those big undertakings is to increase capacity, right, thin out lines, that where lines gather today, and to increase, continue to increase the value of those park tickets, right? What you hope doesn't happen is we've added all this new stuff, so now we get to raise park tickets again.
Kelli:Yeah, right, but that's also, you know, supply and demand. So park tickets are priced at a place where everybody can't afford them intentionally, right? Because the park can't hold everybody. Can't
Chris:hold everybody. That was his last point and like and like you were just pointing out. As we've pointed out before, demand continues to be high, right? He actually visited multiple parks and Disney Springs in Florida this year already. And you know, we keep not like the parks are full, the parks are parks are full. So we complain about Park ticket prices, and we complain about the long lines, right? You know?
Kelli:But, I mean, that's it. It just is what it is. People are willing to pay it. They're willing to go. And so you charge what the market will bear. Yeah, business, this isn't a charity. He
Chris:pointed out, the guest satisfaction stores can scores continue to be really high, and their intent to visit scores continue to be very high. The reason the question was asked is because the intent to return scores have been dropping in recent years. Oh, that's interesting. So that's why the question was asked, because people assume that the intent to return scores dropping is related to increasing ticket prices. Yeah, but
Kelli:you don't know that. It could have been, you don't know. You don't know. You know, they have twins. Somebody had a meltdown the middle of Main Street. The dad has PTSD, and he's the one filling up for the thing, right? Like, you just don't know.
Chris:He's like, you don't know, I'm not going anywhere. I gotta carry a double stroller ever again.
Kelli:I'm not doing it again, right? No, I mean, I get that, but, yeah, I don't think there may be a correlation, but I don't think you can call it a causation. We'll see. Yeah,
Chris:he also got a question about figment at the shareholder. That's
Kelli:fantastic. It was standing up for Figgy.
Chris:I don't know who it was that asked, but he laughed too. He's like he said. He. Gets asked about figment at the majority of these shareholder meetings. Really, what was the question just, can we do more with figment? Is there more we can do with figment? Which is funny, because you think the question is, can we? Can we? Can we revamp figments attraction?
Kelli:You know, put figment in more places people love. He laughed because he
Chris:recognized how popular figment is, especially among those people who love Epcot. And he said he would instruct the creatives to create a series of short form videos for figment, recognizing how popular he is. Go Figgy. I think that's a good idea. I
Kelli:think that's fantastic. People love Figgy. Love, love, love him. I mean, he had his own, you know, flower display, yeah, the flower garden last year. Yeah, absolutely right. And it was super detailed with, like, he's
Chris:really, like, he's sort of the Epcot mascot, yeah, he's got a meet and greet. Now, he fell down,
Kelli:and he's original to Epcot. He is right. So he's original to that ride,
Chris:yeah, right. Bring the dream finder back. Everybody loves
Kelli:Figgy. Um.
Chris:Disney also announced the adults only Spaceship Earth lounge. Geo 82 will be coming this year. I was wrong. I thought it might take over that space when you exit Spaceship Earth. You know that sort of arcade e type place with the big globe it? I don't think so, because they here's the announcement, and you'll see why I say that when geo 82 opens this year, the location will offer reservations for guests 21 and older. The lounge will be the ultimate spot to toast a trip around Epcot with innovative cocktails and globally influence small plates, and you can take in spectacular Park views.
Kelli:So that makes it seem like it's where the other one was, like, near Figgy. No,
Chris:this is, this is that spaceship Earth. This is, oh, it is at spaceship it's just not where I thought it
Kelli:was gonna be okay. So it's got to be up near the top of spaceship Earth. Well,
Chris:I think when you're leaving the park, or if you're leaving the park going towards Spaceship Earth, there is like this. There's something there on on that side of spaceship Earth, where you can see this, this row of dark like glass windows you can't see through. And so I wonder if it's there, because you'd be able to see out across the park from there. That's interesting. So we'll see. I'm very excited about that. I like that they've got cocktails and small plates, yes,
Kelli:yes. The other one only had, you know, Coke products, and they were lovely. Well, this isn't
Chris:a DVC lounge lounge. They recommend not super
Kelli:big fan of that. Then,
Chris:so elitist. Well, let's talk about a DVC lounge. Then, okay, the this week, the mckims Mile House, DVC lounge opened at Magic Kingdom. This is where the shooting saloon used to be at Frontierland that was
Kelli:needed. Magic Kingdom needed a proper lounge
Chris:for those of us who are allowed,
Kelli:for those of us who need to lounge, Magic Kingdom needed a lounge.
Chris:So this is what they had to say about it, nestled in the heart of Frontier land, Disney Vacation Club, McKim Mile House, a member lounge, offers a cozy, convenient retreat for members to share stories and recharge during their day of fun. Experience the rustic charm of space of a space inspired by the adventurous spirit of exploration from a bygone area era. It's open from 11am to 6pm although that's subject to change, comfortable seating, complimentary soft drinks, Wi Fi service, advisors and charging cords available on request. But they have, like, looks like they have little charging stations in the
Kelli:tables. That's nice, yeah, that's nice. So, very nice. Yeah, very
Chris:excited about that. It's named for Sam McKim, Disney legend. He was the concept artist for the original frontier land at Disneyland. And so Imagineers decided to base this lounge on the historic mile houses of the Old West, which are basically hotels. Okay? And so while you're there, you can see the stairway up to the boarding houses up on the second Oh, that's cool. And from you can see it from the lounge, where you can see other famous people already staying in those rooms, like the owner and founder of The Big Thunder mining company, Barnabas T Boone, that's awesome. And and M Davis, which is recognizing Disney legend Mark Davis, is also already staying at That's awesome. So that'll be a fun place to check out the next time. Absolutely yes. All right, so that's the news, and talk about Tomorrowland. I've been, I've been waiting on this one for weeks now. Okay, I'm very nervous about I just, I don't think I've got the luck that we're gonna be able to see this when we go Disney Starlight
Kelli:parade, okay, at Magic Kingdom? Yes, okay, yes,
Chris:that's what I'm talking about. Okay? And you don't think we're gonna be able to see i I'm hopeful. I'm hopeful. I just don't know I've got that kind of luck. It's supposed to launch in the summer of 2025 hope
Kelli:is a wasted emotion. I know it is. It's. Wasted emotion you need to manifest that stuff like, do not just say I'm hopeful. Hope is a wasted emotion. I'm 100% against hope. Manifest it. Okay.
Chris:I'm manifesting it. I'm putting it right here in my Tomorrowland site. Yes, man, if I'm
Kelli:gonna do it, do it. Make it happen. There
Chris:are so many night time parades that have, that have happened in Disney history. So let's talk a little bit about those. The OG, of course, is the Main Street Electrical Parade. Course it has. You know, it's felt on again, off again in recent years. But I look back at its history, it's actually always been kind of on again, off again. Yeah, like you says the day it launched in Disneyland in 1972 it ran for like, three years, and then it was off for a couple years, and then it came back again for a few years. Yeah,
Kelli:that's what I've always felt about
Chris:it. Then it started at the Magic Kingdom in 1997 and ran, it did run there uninterrupted for 14 years. Wow, from 19 and from 1977
Kelli:to 91 it's the electric lights parade, the elect, the Main Street Electrical the Main Street Electrical Parade, which is different from the spectra magic. It's
Chris:different than spectra magic. That's correct. Okay, so it ran from like 77 to 91 the Electrical Parade, and then it ran again from 99 to 2001 and then it ran again from 2010 to 2016 Wow. But in those gaps, there was when spectra magic was running right? So Magic Kingdom actually had a nighttime parade that effectively ran non stop from 77 to 2016 so we have now been like, nine or nine years without
Kelli:not a nighttime parade. They were trading them with other theme parks, right? Weren't they sending it to Disneyland? And Disneyland would send us theirs and stuff like that.
Chris:Little bit. I think there were two Main Street Electrical parades because Disneyland Paris ran the Main Street Electrical Parade for a while. They also ran something called Disney's fan illusion. Oh, right, that sounds fun. Tokyo Disneyland had a Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade. They also ran Disney's fan illusion after that one and now for and they've been running since, like, 2001 Tokyo, Disneyland, Electrical Parade dream lights. Now, Dream lights is supposed to be next level nighttime parade technology. The lights are just supposed to be like, blow your mind. I believe
Kelli:that. Oh, I do
Unknown:too, because they do,
Kelli:they do it. They do it over there? Yes,
Chris:Disneyland has also had other nighttime parades. They've had Light Magic, which ran in 1997 and they also have had paint the night which comes our I remember that one? Yeah, that one actually comes back for a I think it comes back this May, for a limited run to celebrate Disneyland 70th anniversary. Oh, that's fun.
Kelli:Yeah,
Chris:that will be cool. And Hong Kong Disneyland also has run paint the night. Okay? There before, so lots of different iterations, right? I find it interesting that spectra magic didn't run anywhere but Magic Kingdom. Oh, that's
Kelli:interesting, because I thought we got it from somewhere. Yeah, that's fascinating.
Chris:It's not we. We're not. We're not magic King, sure we are.
Kelli:Sure we are. For some reason I always think of spectrum magic as the electrical the main street, Electrical Parade. Oh, I get them confused.
Chris:No, no, no, no. I stopped. I know, I had a very Who Moved My Cheese. I remember the first time I ever saw spectrum magic. And I had a very Who Moved My Cheese. Didn't like it, sort of feeling about the idea. I was against it. And then I saw it again. I was like, Be okay with this. And my and, you know, it was my grandma. She was like, what if they didn't have one at all? Well, then what would you do? Well, I know exactly what I do. I would come on my podcast. I complained about not having one at all.
Kelli:LG, bring it back home. She
Chris:kept me, you know, some gave me some perspective. And so the new one is called the new one is called Disney, Starlight, colon. Oh, gosh, easy, easy. I'm excited there. Colon. Dream the night away. Academics
Kelli:love a colon. I'm all for a colon. Almost every academic paper that I write has like, title, colon, secondary title, so I'm for a colon. I know you mean it's like, we joke about it. Joke about, like, what's gonna come after the colon? You know I'm saying, like, it's fun. You like it colon, sir. You love this good time. I'm for it.
Chris:What I find interesting is that, like, Tokyo Disneyland did a colon, but they did their Tokyo Disney Land in. Electrical Parade for years, and then they brought it back, and it was Tokyo, Disney Electrical Parade, colon dream lights. This is the first run. This is Disney, and we're doing it. I think
Kelli:it's a strong way to start. It's a strong way to start. Okay,
Chris:so I'll just go. So like I said earlier, supposedly, the lighting effects for Dream lights in Tokyo Disneyland are next level. The technology around the floats are just great. I am so hopeful that we're adopting that for this parade. It sort of feels like starlight, Dream light, you know, I don't know why I feel like it's going to but okay.
Kelli:But same concept, though, like floats that are lit up, yes, okay, floats that are lit up, okay, making sure, same concept,
Chris:like we said, launching in the summer of 2025, they've already got the web page on Disney's, Disney World's website. So, like, you know, there's the whole, the whole shebang there, with the colon, with the colon, even the, you know, like, the time for tonight, no show this evening. Like it's, it's all there. Okay, ready to,
Kelli:like, it's just about that feels like it's ready to pop, like they're on the edge of a soft launch.
Chris:That feels like they're on the edge of a soft launch is what it feels like a cast member preview. Yes, as it were, yeah, absolutely. Blog Mickey described this as a quote, Star kissed constellation of Disney dreams. Oh, that's a love, that turn of phrase. It's kicked off by the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio. She's the fairy descent. She clearly has no idea who she is. I didn't even know existed. But the Blue Fairy that that grants Pinocchio the ability to come to learn into a real boy. Well, she makes him a wooden boy that comes to life, and then she makes him a real boy, real boy. Okay, yes. So she kicks up, she she invites you to wish upon a star, and that's what, okay, creates this beautiful parade, the starlight parade,
Kelli:because I would have thought that Tink would invite us to wish upon a star. Well, that's not what Tink does. I know. I'm just saying that's what who I would have put there who asked us to wish upon a star. Mickey the Blue Fairy, okay? And Pinocchio, so she sings When you wish upon a star. No
Chris:Jiminy Cricket does, but it's in the same movie Pinocchio. Okay,
Kelli:okay, all right, okay, fine. I had
Chris:no idea. And they
Kelli:said so they just didn't want Jiminy to launch it marginalized cricket. Such marginalized cricket, you'll find any merch for Jiminy.
Chris:Man, I have gone. I got a minute and a half left. I have talked nothing about this parade. We will see floats dedicated to Peter and Wendy, okay? And Elsa will have her own float. We can't do doo, doo at Disney without giving Elsa. Elsa needs a float. Everybody loves Elsa. I like it at Epcot when they make her walk. There will be an Encanto portion of the parade. Isabella makes her magic kingdom debut, joining the madrigal family, where she'll be swinging from floral vines. Of course she will. Isabella is so stuck. Oh, she's much better now. She learned her lesson. She likes to make ugly flowers. We get treated to a moat, a float replete with an amazing luminescent waves. I saw the concept art for this. That's cool. Her, her canoe is like literally riding atop the way. Yes, if you look closely, you can see a Pua, a Hey and manta ray.
Kelli:Ooh. Grandma tala, Granny tawa. We
Chris:will get to see a princess float, of course, because there's going to be little girls in the crowd. So we've got to see the little princess float, which apparently was this float that was apparently influenced heavily by Disneyland and Mary Blair. Oh, that's fun, fun. And we'll see several Princess Prince combos like Aurora and Philip, Tiana and Naveen, Bell and Beast and Cindy and charming. I just had to say it like Cindy and charming. Cindy and charming.
Unknown:Okay, there will
Chris:also be a cocoa float. Interesting.
Kelli:This thing looks, I bet it looks amazing. I mean, it's like, covered in marigolds, and they're all lit up. Well,
Chris:this features Miguel Dante and pepitas.
Kelli:They're the alabrijes,
Chris:yes, okay. Pepita is the big green one. It's the big cat, yeah, wing thing, yeah, yeah. Can you imagine what that thing is gonna look like? Like, if that's
Kelli:okay. So we're not in, we're not crossing the bridge of marigold. No,
Chris:we're not just, I don't, we don't really know. I've just seen the concept art for it, okay? And Pepita O N
Kelli:G, I can imagine is going to is Miguel riding Pepita?
Chris:I think Miguel is like, on the front of the float playing the guitar. Are and pizzas up behind, and Dante's also there. That one might be beautiful enough that I would gouge my eyes out afterwards.
Kelli:Wow, don't do that, honey. You won't get to see it again. I don't care. It'd be the most beautiful thing ever.
Chris:And there will also be lots and lots and lots of nods back to the OG Main Street parade. So, very, very, very excited about it.
Kelli:Hope that means we get the snails. I love those snails. I don't know if we're
Chris:gonna get the snails, but we twirl and they do. They make those little funky noises. I
Kelli:love the snails.
Chris:So very, very excited. I'm just sure that we're gonna get to see it. Oh no, it does, like the marigold bridge. Is there? Nice?
Kelli:You got to kind of light stuff up. You have to marigold bridge. Yes, you have to
Chris:put some of these. Have to, actually. So anyway, there you go. Okay, the Disney star light. It's going to happen. Honey. Manifest is going to happen. I just made it happen. Excellent. Just made
Kelli:it happen. Excited about it. So today is March 23 sure is, which is national chips and dip day.
Chris:Well, I just decided what I'm having for dinner, right?
Kelli:So I'm gonna tell you where you can get 10 amazing things and dips that go with them, okay, at Walt, Disney World. So this is in no particular order, okay, but I wanna say we're not talking about the Mickey pretzel with the plastic cheese. Okay, these are unique things that you should go out of your way to try and get. Okay, so these aren't basic. When we first moved out here, a local Mexican restaurant named amigos has a billboard that says we have ranch and things to dip in it. And I thought, I'm gonna love Nebraska. This is fantastic. And so that's the energy that I'm taking into this. I like it. Okay, so the first place we're gonna stop is in Morocco tangerine cafe. This is an Epcot. They have this at almost every festival, but you can get it inside the tangerine Cafe as well. This is going to be your stone baked Moroccan bread with assorted dips. Now the dips change regularly. You can have hummus. There's one called zaluk, and that's an eggplant and tomato dip. There's one called zoo dip that is cilantro, garlic, chili pepper, spices and olive oil. Sometimes they have a sweet one, like a fig dip. The cool part about this is it's usually about $6 so if it's at a festival, it's like 525, right? So this is affordable, and we love the tangerine cafe. So total winner. So absolutely, that's that's a showstopper. Go there to celebrate chip and dip day. The next place you want to stop is in Mexico. This is outside at La Cantina descent and hell. So this is the outside one. Okay. Now here you're gonna not see this on the menu, okay, which is fine. All you do is ask for it right now. Here's the beauty. You're gonna ask for chips with cheese sauce. This is going to be your white queso, okay? And they give this to you in like a half pint container. It's a significant amount of cheese that they give you there, and it is worth every ounce of it. Now you could go just with their straight nachos, which include ground beef and beans, tomatoes, jalapenos and sour cream. But I say don't ruin the chips with all of that. Okay, we're celebrating chip and dip day. Chip. Don't cover it with all of that. You can also get guac for $3 okay? So if you can get your chips with queso and guac, that would be amazing, right? That's your best chip and queso on Disney property. Don't question me on that. I'm a queso connoisseur. That's your best bet, and it's fantastic price. The nachos are like $15 they'll sell you that chip and queso for significantly less than that, I think, like half the price. So I'm just saying Don't sleep on the nachos in Mexico with some queso. That is the way to celebrate chip and dip day. Now I'm going to take some liberty with the chip side. Come on with the chip side of things, and a couple of these. Our next stop is going to be Nomad lounge and animal kingdom. And here, the first thing that we're going to order is the churros, because they come with three different dips, and they're fried like a chip would be.
Chris:So I ain't mad at it. We're calling it a
Kelli:crunchy thing with something and there. Okay, so this is gonna come with your vanilla crema, always, and then seasonal sauce, whatever they put in those dips. Just eat it. Eat it. Just eat it. And
Chris:don't and don't be ashamed of like when you get the bottom of like, picking it up, lick it, sticking your tongue down,
Kelli:lick it, and take and lick your fingers, and then dip them into the basket to
Chris:get all the cinnamon and sugar. Put your like thumb in your mouth and just suck it. It's easier to do
Kelli:that after you've had a couple of. Snow leopards. But, I mean, I'm just saying which is a drink, be clear. Also at Nomad lounge, you're going to want to get the Tiffins bread service. This is $18 you get multiple different types of bread with a coconut curry sauce, a guava sauce and a gender ginger pear chutney. Don't sleep on that. Yeah, don't. Nomad Lounge is a fantastic place to celebrate chip and dip day, and I highly recommend the churros are about$15 and the Tiffins bread service is about 18. It's
Chris:That sounds expensive, but it is totally worth it. You haven't had churros like those. Never,
Kelli:never. Now, Animal Kingdom is trying to spread the love with churros. They've actually launched what is called Family churros. You get this at the eight spoon Cafe, which is a winner, which is a winner. Love eight spoon. Ca, absolutely. Family churros. These are 21 mini churros with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces and sprinkles.
Chris:I saw this for 1599 I didn't know where to get it. But of course,
Kelli:interwebs are all about this. They are the interwebs are dying over these family churros. This is 1599 and it looks amazing. 21 mini churros. Do I have to share it with family? No, you do not. I think 1599 is a perfectly fine cost for a meal. Go with that. Go with that. You do you. But again, don't sleep on churros. Now, next is something that you might not think about. Okay, we're gonna move over to Hollywood studios and visit Woody's lunch box. Okay, now here is where you're gonna order the potato barrels, just plain potato barrels. Those are 499, these are tater tots, people. They just can't call them that, because that's the brand name, okay? And their cheese sauce. Now, again, this cheese sauce is just $1 okay?
Unknown:This is
Chris:plastic cheese. No, no, no, remember you got it last right? And we thought, How is this $1 How is this $1 we
Kelli:were crazy for this cheese sauce. And I was like, how are they just charging $1 for this? This is not the plastic cheese Okay, so this is what you're getting. It's just$1 and it's their cheese sauce. And it was like a light yellow color with with spices and things in it. It was like a case looks like it had some paprika in me, yes. And so I think what this is their cheese sauce is actually their nacho cheese that they put on the potato barrel entree maybe. Yeah, they're tachos. They're tachos. That is a
Unknown:steel at $1 that is a steal. It is a absolute steal. The plastic
Chris:cheese is a steal for $1 absolutely this is You've robbed a whole stagecoach. It is insane
Kelli:that you get that for $1 I've just never seen such a thing. So 499 potato barrels with their dollar cheese sauce at Woody's lunchbox. Don't sleep on it. Highly recommend. I don't remember the name of it, but the alcoholic beverage they serve as well as whatever Pop Tart they have for the day, okay, they need to sell that alcoholic beverage in just a pitcher, and they can just keep that cheese sauce coming. Yeah,
Chris:$1 for each $1.
Kelli:For as sweet as you want to give me, like it's just $1 you know how I am with stuff that's just $1 Okay, next, we're gonna move over to Disney Springs, and we're gonna go to wine bar, George. This is where we're gonna get the burrata. Now y'all burrata is burrata, and it's amazing. And I love any burrata wine bar. George knows what he's doing with cheese. He does this. Burrata comes with tomatoes mint and sourdough crostinis. This is $19 and so honestly, those little sourdough bits with the burrata is it's heaven on a plate. And if you need more of the sourdough bits, then just be like, I need more of the sourdough bits. They'll bring them. Okay, they'll bring them. So don't, don't worry about that. Get yourself a good bit of that burrata on every sourdough bit. And if you need more sourdough bits, then get more. Okay, that's $19 then you're gonna pop over to art Smith's homecoming, where definitely recommend the sweet tea shine. And on the side of that, you're gonna get the bunch of puppies. These are housemade hush puppies served with pimento cheese and red jalapeno jelly for $15 so good. Don't miss that. That is a Fun Dip situation. Now, while you're in Disney Springs going over to polite pig. Polite pig has a hop salt pretzel. This is a big pretzel, like what you would get in Germany. This comes with beer cheese fondue and mustard sauce. So if you want to do the pretzel with cheese. Like, if that's your heart snack, then go to the polite pig and do it there. Get a proper pretzel and cheese to celebrate chip and dip day. Like, don't phone this in with the Mickey pretzel and the plastic cheese in the park, right? Don't phone this in, all right. Do it right? Go to polite pig last two sleep. Sleepy Hollow. Now we know Sleepy Hollow tests a lot of things out. They do. You remember the last time we were at Magic Kingdom and we were waiting for the nighttime show? I was hungry, and I was like, What can I go get? I'll just go see. What Sleepy Hollow has they have house made chips for 329 I don't know of anywhere else in the park really, that has those House made chips, especially not quick service. Highly recommend you get a good amount of them and just go with the ketchup to dip like these things are salted to perfection. They're fantastic. Just stick with the ketchup as your basic dip, and you will not be disappointed, better than a fry. Yes, would not be disappointed. And last but not least, again, these are in no particular order. We're gonna pop back over to Disney Springs, to jock Lindsay's hanger bar, where we're gonna get the bread dip pyramid. This is Brazilian cheese bread, little bitty bits of 'em sold stacked up in a pyramid. And on the side of that, you get a creamy tomato sauce and a chorizo dip sold for 1250 these little cheese breads look amazing, and the sauces looked good too. Highly recommend anything called a bread dip. Pyramid. Agreed,
Chris:agreed. Just top marks on your list. It
Kelli:is top I know I killed that.
Chris:I do have one thing. I'm not
Kelli:accepting feedback at this time. I'm not currently accepted.
Chris:What's it called the Saganaki on fire at Vine bar. It's not officially a
Kelli:dip. It's melted cheese, but it's not officially a dip.
Chris:Controversial.
Unknown:Just saying.
Kelli:I'm just saying, I clearly know what to say. Obviously you disagree, but that's fine. I'm not accepting.
