Tracy Gilpin was a typical teenager in Kingston, Massachusetts. She was walking home from a local party with friends. Her friend's homes came up quicker than Tracy's. She even called the party host for a ride home, however the she didn't come. Tracy went missing and her body was found in the Myles Standish State Park in neighboring Plymouth, Ma. She had a massive head injury and there was signs of sexual assault. Tracy Gilpin was 15 years old and her family was devastated. The case went cold very quickly and it seemed the case would never be solved. In 2018 the police received a tip about a former resident Michael Hand. Mr. Hand was arrested after a quasi-confession, however he attempted to blame this horrendous crime on another infamous Kingston resident, Henry Meinholz. Old fashioned police work appears to have solved this cold case after almost 40 years. The case is scheduled for trial later this year.
