Speaker 2:Welcome to no need to ask podcast. My name is Amani Duncan and I will be your host on this journey. I launched the platform girlfriend no need to ask about a year and a half ago on Instagram. I wanted to create a community for professional men and women of all ages and at various stages in their professional careers where they can find inspiration, helpful business tips, Sage advice, and to even share their own professional journeys and hopes to help and inspire others. I have been an executive in various industries for many years with tenure at record labels, Def jam Island, duck jam, Virgin records and Capitol music group media working as head of music for MTV, the chief marketing officer at bad boy enterprises working directly with Sean Diddy Combs and I even dabbled into manufacturing. Heading up the marketing division for the oldest American acoustic guitar company, Martin guitar. I am very proud of my professional journey, often being the first African American woman to hold the positions. Needless to say, there were extreme highs and some challenges along the way. All helping me become an even stronger executive. Early on in my career, someone helped me. So I feel it is my responsibility to try and help as many professionals get their own seat at the business table. It is my responsibility to help pay it forward. I am a storyteller at heart. So what you can expect from no need to ask podcasts is a lot of stories, my professional stories, as well as stories from others, always sprinkled in with business advice. You can also expect interviews with various industry leaders, music artists and others that continue to inspire me and hopefully will inspire you. So grab your favorite drink, a pen and a notebook
