Empty-Nester Parent Overcomes Challenges to Become Top 1% Real Estate Agent, with Suzi Liu EP 3

Suzi Liu is a Southern California mom who, after becoming an empty nester parent, turned her passion for property investments into a real estate career that led her to become a top 1% in-the-nation agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. In this interview, we talk about the challenges Suzi faced in the early part of her career, the doubts she had to overcome, and the positive mindset and strong work ethic that led to her success. 

Raised in the Midwest, Suzi is an alumni of University of California, Santa Barbara. She worked in sales and marketing for 15 years. During that time, she become an investor in vacation rental properties in the Santa Barbara area. While raising two daughters, she worked with more than sixteen different philanthropies through National Charity League (NCL), and was president of the Vista Robles Chapter, which has more than 200 members. 

Suzi has been a mentor at the Ronald Reagan Student Leadership Program at Ronald Reagan Library. She also served as co-leader for 10+ years of her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, during which time she mentored multiple troop members to attain Girl Scouts’ highest honor, the Gold Award. Suzi's husband Paul is an attorney specializing in Wills, Trusts and Estates. They live in Thousand Oaks and Santa Barbara, California.
