Welcome to episode 19 of 'Ask The Angels' where we answer your rent to rent questions.

If you’d like to have your question answered go to rent2rentsuccess.com/ask and record your question from me to answer for you.

Today we’ve had a question from Sam about how rent to rent businesses can work with letting agents.

Here’s Sam’s question…

“My name’s Sam and I’ve set up a property management company in recent weeks and started off on my property venture. I’m very excited to get into rent to rent.

“I have a question on a little story that you told going back to 2016 when you first walked into a letting agent. You explained what you did and asked whether or not the agent would put you in touch with their ‘introduction only’ landlords.

“You also talked about whether an agent would work with you on a ‘fully managed basis’.

“My question is, what does ‘fully managed’ actually mean in terms of the relationship between you and the letting agency. I’ve been really enjoying listening to the pod, keep it up!”

Good question Sam.
It’s one lots of people get confused about.

On the face of it both rent to rent businesses and letting agents manage properties, so aren’t they competitors?

And I know people get confused about how it works so I’m going to break it down for you in this episode.

I’m going to talk about how the arrangement works between you and a letting agent and also how the letting agent fees work and the two main ways in which agents work.
