This is part II of our talk with 3 of our long time role models. On this episode, we dive deeper into the discussion about why so many of our young black male students are failing in the public educational school system. Many, not all, are really struggling with the current school model. We discuss the original design of the American schools, how young black boys are perceived, the impact of having strong black male role models, and what parents can do to help prepare their young black sons for the public educational system.
It is an honor to be joined by Mr. McKenzie, Mr. Bazzell, and Mr. Brewington. Together they have over 75 years of experience as principals, assistant principals, teachers, coaches, club advisors, mentors, counselors, education consultants, and much more. They are husbands, fathers, and have been amazing role models for us and so many. We all have a list of "Black Men That Inspire Us", but make no mistake about it, our list is incomplete with them!
