Associate Professor Asim Biswas with the University of Guelph joins me to discuss a topic he is very passionate about: soil. Growing up on a subsistence farm in West Bengal India, Asim learned the magic of soil from a young age. He paints a picture of what farming looked like for him growing up, and his pursuit of knowledge, which ultimately led him to work in Canada. Within the department of Environmental Sciences, Asim continues to pursue higher knowledge of many aspects of our soils including their potential, spatial variability, and long term sustainability.
