Hi everyone!  I’m Nick Cash, husband and father of three from Columbus, Georgia.  I’m also a pastor and the author of a discipleship blog called LikeTreesPlanted.com.

It’s my honor to get to present to you “Practical Faith”, a series of short insights on the topic of following Jesus in our everyday lives. 

Although I am a pastor, I am not a super-Christian.  Following Jesus takes dedication and effort in any line of work, in any family or home situation.  But we can do it!  Empowered by God’s Spirit, we can integrate our Christian faith into every aspect of our lives!

Our faith is not just a compartment of our lives – it’s not something we keep set aside and separated from the rest of our lives.  Our faith in Jesus IS our life.  Everything else in life can be and should be impacted by our faith.

I am convinced that a committed life of discipleship is the God-given ability of EVERY believer.  Ordinary people CAN walk with God successfully on a daily basis!  I want to help you do just that.

Discipleship – the process of learning to walk every moment with (and for) Jesus.  Discipleship is a personal passion of mine.  I am a collector of tips and strategies for walking successfully with God.  I want to share my collection with you!

Just remember: it’s not a strategy in the end that results in growth.  It is a life of faithful co-working with God that bears the most consistent fruit.  LikeTreesPlanted is a blog dedicated to sharing tools to help you follow faithfully in the steps of the Savior, and these short “Practical Faith” segments are here to do the same in audio format.

Several times per week, I will share an idea, a suggestion, a link, a how-to, a strategy, a Scripture, an encouragement, or some other helpful tool to assist you in your followership of Jesus.  I invite you to subscribe, so that notices of new segments can be sent directly to your RSS feed!

I am by no means the authority on the topic of discipleship – I just care about it a great deal.  I don’t want these segments to just be my two cents.  In fact, if I may be so bold, I am expecting listeners out there to participate in this with me!  I want you to.  I need you to!
