Rob Dawson:

Just heard. That's what I just heard. Just like God turns your mess into a message those of you listening to this or watching this right now God is turning your mess into a message Today, tonight, whenever you're watching this. Please know that God is a God of grace and His grace and mercy endures forever. We talked about that before Amen, and so he is extending His grace to you. But this is a season and a time for you to have a sense of urgency, to get locked in and focused to who God has called you to be, what he said you can have and what he said you can do. And the enemy is after your life, but God is after your purpose and he has a destiny and a plan for you, and God needs what you have.

Javier Olguin:

Let's go.

Rob Dawson:

This is the new format right here, y'all, if you're on YouTube, if you listen to AVO Podcast, you got my man, javier, in the building. Yeah, you got your boy in the building. I'm back. I'm back. It's been a while, but I'm back, man Javier. Welcome to Faith on Fire, bro. Like it's so good to have you as a co-host. Man, just real quick, take like 60 seconds and just tell the people a little something about yourself. But it's got to be something interesting, because you've got to draw them in right away, tell them how you was. You know, out there in them streets, man.

Javier Olguin:

Man. You know what, Rob? My life in a nutshell is from a mess to a message, and that's what God has done in my life. And just wrapping up a little bit, you know my past and prior life. I came from drug addiction, I came from homelessness, I came from gangs, I came from overdose and many awful things. And so, in a nutshell, when I say from a mess to a message, that's what I was, rob. I was a hot mess express, but God took my mess and he turned it into a message. And so I'm here to join you guys, live on Faith, on Fire, in hopes that we can ignite a fire inside of you, ignite a joy inside of you and ignite an overcoming spirit that you can overcome your past life, overcome your situation, just by hearing what God has done in our lives. So I'm excited, bro.

Rob Dawson:

That's what I just heard. That's what I just heard, Just like God turns your mess into a message those of you listening to this or watching this right now God is turning your mess into a message.

Javier Olguin:

Today tonight.

Rob Dawson:

Whenever you're watching this, please know that God is a God of grace and that his grace and mercy endures forever. We talked about that before and so he is extending his grace to you.

Yes, yes. And on top of that, rob, I mean other people needs what we have. Yes, what I'm learning and what I'm seeing more and more and so lately is God is telling me Javi, it's not about you, right? Not about you. And sometimes we can get so selfish and get in the way of what God is really trying to do through us, because I would say, the chances are is that there's people out here who need to hear your story, who need to hear your message, and there's people out there that could relate to what you've gone through. And so I like to say, yes, god needs what we have. But people here who don't know God, they need what we have.

Javier Olguin:

And the word says that we are the light of the world and we're not supposed to hide our light under a bed. And so, you know, rob, the more and more that life happens and I go through obstacles, trials and tribulations, I begin to understand that, yes, it has happened to me, but it's not about me, because the chances are, there's someone out there that's broken, that's hurting, that's in despair, that's suicidal, that's angry, whatever it is, and they just need some kind of hope, some kind of light. And what, if you are that message and that key to their breakthrough, to their healing? They are they are.

Rob Dawson:

He said I come not to be served but to serve and to give my life a ransom for many gosh man. We are a reflection of him in the earth. So he came to minister and not to be ministered to. If he came to be to serve and not to be served, then we too, should be the same.

Rob Dawson:

Somebody needs what you have, yeah, gifts, talents, abilities, treasures on the inside of you, but the enemy wants you to get out of focus. He wants you to forget about who you are and who you are, and he wants you to get caught up in a cycle of selfishness yeah, I just heard that. A cycle of selfishness where you're focusing on your situation, your problem, your challenge. What happened last week, last month, your path, Me and you talked the other night. I said, man, you can't take your past into your future. Come on, and so what? I'm here to tell you today that you can't take your past into your future. It's time to move forward with urgency and with focus, and to get serious about what God has placed in your life and the assignment that he's called you to. Yeah, yeah.

Javier Olguin:

That's so good, Rob, and that's what we want to encourage you guys today, tonight or whatever time you're watching is to be urgent and to be focused on what God has for you. We can't hang on to the past. We can't no longer be stagnant and be on the sidelines. Why be on the sidelines and do nothing when you can be a part of a great move of God? Today, I'm telling you that God is calling his end time revivalists that would come together and that we would be the doers of the word, not just the hearers, not just the naysayers, not the bystanders, but that we would be the doers.

Javier Olguin:

And being a doer takes actions. Rob, we must take actions in our faith. That's what a person who has an urgency and a focus in their life they take actions. One thing I know, Rob, is that faith moves forward. When we have faith, we must propel forward, even if we fall, even if something comes up. We must stay urgent and stay focused and move forward, no matter what happens in our life, and go after everything that God said we can and will do. Yes.

Rob Dawson:

Yes, yes, the definition of urgency is importance requiring swift action and earnest and persistent quality insistence. You ever been insistent upon something? You go to a hotel maybe you don't like the room, and you go down to the lobby and you insist man, y'all need to change my room.

Javier Olguin:

A couple of times.

Rob Dawson:

We do that, with things like that in life, but are we urgent about the call of God? Are we urgent about the things of God? Are we urgent about this Bible right here and what God says that we need to do? Man, the time is moving so fast and the world is becoming darker and darker, and God is requiring of you and I to rise up and to be the light and the salt that he's called us to be. Yeah, he says, you are the light of the world, you are the salt of the earth. You are the. Is that right? Yeah, are you, you are the light of the world.

Javier Olguin:

Yes.

Rob Dawson:

You are the salt of the earth. And then check this out the definition of focus, because they're talking about urgency and focus. Focus is the state or quality of having or producing clear visual definition, paying particular attention to a thing, adapting to the prevailing level of light and becoming and become able to see things clearly. And so we got to see things clearly as it relates to the word and have a concentration of attention or energy on this right here.

Javier Olguin:

Yeah.

Rob Dawson:

We got to have a concentration and an attention. Put that in the comments Concentration and attention to the assignment. Javi, you know a question I ask a lot of people, bro, what Are you in alignment with the assignment that God has for your life?

Javier Olguin:

Are you in alignment with the assignment that God has for your life?

Rob Dawson:

Or are you in alignment with the assignment that others have placed on you, that others have said you are, or what you can or cannot do, or are you allowing your past to dictate your future right?

Rob Dawson:

And so are we in alignment with this word right here? Do we have a concentration and an attention and an energy on this word and what God has instructed us to do in this season? And if you're not obedient to what God has called you to do, the things he's told you to do, write the book, start the business, cut off that relationship, start going to church, if you're not being obedient or you're delaying, I need you to know today that Mike Murdoch wants to say the delayed obedience is still disobedience.

Javier Olguin:

Yeah.

Rob Dawson:

Yeah, and it's time for us to obey God and have urgency. Bro, jump in there.

Javier Olguin:

Come on, man. And so when I think about urgency and when I think about focus, we're just talking about focus, and you pretty much took it, you pretty much said it. And this is so funny because all of this is just Holy Spirit led. None of this is scripted. And so, as I think about focus, I heard in the spirit the Lord telling me you know, tell them to pay attention to the distractions distracting you from becoming focused.

Javier Olguin:

What is distracting you from being on the right track of what God has for you? Could it be a relationship? Could it be that girl, that boy? Could it be video games? Could it be Instagram? Something is in the way, something is trying to interfere, and I would say that a lot of times that the enemy wants to cause the distraction in order to derail you off of your purpose, to get you off track, because when we're on track, we will stay on our purpose course, the course of purpose, and as long as we stay on that track, we will get there. It might take a day, it might take weeks, it might take years whatever it takes.

Javier Olguin:

But just know that the more longer you prolong with these distractions, the longer that delay is going to be happening of walking in your full calling, your full purpose that God has for you. Come on, rob, you're oh man. You're the mic. No good, bro, oh man. What about now we're going to have to? I don't know. That whole time I was talking it was buzzing the whole entire time. Keep going.

Rob Dawson:

Okay, okay, yeah, you got it.

Javier Olguin:

Go ahead brother.

Rob Dawson:

I can't hear you. What about now? Here we go, here we go. Look, distractions come just like that. Mike, there, there are times when things try to delay, are times when things try to delay or try to stop or to try to oppose what God has called you to do in this season, but you just got to stay locked in and focused. Yeah, as you were talking, you're like man, the buzz in it. I don't know if you saw it, but I said keep rolling. There are some times in your life when you just got to keep rolling, regardless of what the circumstances look like, regardless of how you feel, regardless of what's going on around you.

Rob Dawson:

And so, as you were talking, man, guess what the Holy Spirit was like do this, do this, do this, do this. This is how you're going to fix it. And so we are not called to be moved. You and I are not called to be moved by what we see. We're only called to be moved by the word of God. I have something in my office that says I am not moved by how I feel, I am only moved by the word of God. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in him and he helps me. God can help you to remain focused, god can help you to have a sense of urgency, but you have to lean to him. And Javi, when you were talking, bro, so powerful, you said we got to identify what the distractions are, right, yeah, yeah. So as you were talking, I was reminded, and I believe it's in the book of Acts, where Peter and John check this out. Bro, you ready, y'all ready for this? Grab when Peter and John check this out, bro, you ready, y'all ready for this? Grab your Bibles on Faith, on Fire man, we don't play around here. We getting the word, hit it. Acts, chapter 3, verse 1.

Rob Dawson:

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour, and a certain lame man from his mother's womb, carried, was carried, whom they lay daily, bro, daily at the gate, called beautiful, to ask for alms or money from those who entered the temple. Check this out, you ready for this? Yeah, yeah. Let me share this with you, bro. Check this, check this out. Who's seeing Peter and John about to go in the temple ask for alms and fixing his eyes on him With John. Peter said look at us, so okay.

Rob Dawson:

So they're about to walk in, they see this man asking for money and Peter fixes his eyes on the man first as they're walking in, and then he tells the man hey, put your head up, look at us. Look at us. Don't, don't worry, don't, don't focus on everything else going on around you. Stop worrying about the money. For a second Focus, look at me. He said look at us, bro, listen to this. Yeah, he said look at us, bro, listen to this. Yeah, he says those of you listen. So he gave his attention, expecting to receive something from them, bro. Then Peter said silver and gold I do not have, but what I do give to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk, bro. Rise up and walk. God is saying to some of you today take your attention off of your problem or your situation, take your attention off of your past, the mistakes that you made. And he's saying get your eyes focused on me and my word and rise up, take your bed and walk, come on, come on, rob.

Javier Olguin:

I got to jump in real quick.

Javier Olguin:

What's so fascinating about that story and it speaks to me and I'm sure it's going to speak to many of you that are watching or listening tonight. If you really read that story, it says that the man was there for how long? 40 years, rob. 40 years begging, a long time and a long time. Do you know what the Bible was really telling us? What God was really trying to show us is that he accepted his circumstance of defeat. He accepted his paralyzed, his illness, his disease. He accepted it for that part, for that too long, because he didn't have faith enough. He only believed oh, I can't get there because nobody will carry me there, because because man won't bring me there. And so he accepted his circumstance.

Javier Olguin:

And I'm here to let you know that whatever you're going through, whatever you've got going on in your life, you might be in a challenging situation or season, you might be in a trial and tribulation. But let me tell you something Don't give up, don't accept that, do not accept that and know what the Bible says. You are and who you are and what you can and will do. You're an overcomer, you're more than a conqueror, and so the greater the Holy Spirit that is in you is greater than any spirit in the world. And so you got to remind yourself of what the word of God says and confess that out of your mouth and watch these things take place. Stop accepting defeat, stop accepting doubt, stop accepting lies, stop accepting fear and anxiety and trauma and loneliness. That's not who God called you to be, and so we need.

Rob Dawson:

If it's not from God, you don't have to accept it. Yeah, if it's not from God, you can reject it. The Bible says to cast down every thought and imagination that attempts to exalt itself against the knowledge of God. If it's against the knowledge of God's word, cast that thing down. Jesus was in the wilderness and Satan kept tempting him Y'all. He had to down Jesus when he was in the wilderness and Satan kept tempting him y'all. He kept saying it is written, it is written. It is written, it is written. Get behind me, satan. I don't see that. Listen, that's what you got to do, that's the practical. But look, I got to share the second part of this, bro. Listen to this, right? Yeah, walk into the gate.

Rob Dawson:

Called beautiful, peter fixes his eyes on the lame man who had been there for many years. Right Daily it says that he was at the gate. Check this out, bro, check this out. The Peter said to him silver and gold I do not have, but what I do I give to you In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand and he lifted him up and he, immediately and immediately, his feet, ankle bones received strength. Glory to God. They received strength, so he leaping up and stood up and walked into the temple with them, walking, leaping and praising God.

Javier Olguin:

Come on.

Rob Dawson:

Come on. If that doesn't make people shout here on Faith on fire today, I don't know what will this man hear me out? He was at that gate for many years. The Bible says that he was lame from his mother's womb and they laid at the gate of the temple daily for asking for alms. Yeah, but this man received a miracle in one moment. One conversation, one word from God can change your life forever. And the fact that I love how Peter grabbed his right hand, bro, and he lifted him up. Man, hey, how many times have we as brothers had to lift each other up? Where I grab your hand, you grab my hand, and we, like yo, get up here to the word, bro, get up here to the higher level, and so that's what God is doing. If you're watching or listening to this, I love that, man bro. Let me just calm down. Man Bro, this word, we just love this word, y'all. Man, I love what you said, wrong.

Javier Olguin:

Yeah, yeah, go ahead.

Rob Dawson:

Bro. He walked and leaped and praised God and all the people saw him walking and praising God and they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the beautiful gate of the temple and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. Listen to me, child of God. I want you to know that people are going to be amazed by your breakthrough. They're going to be amazed by the things that God is going to continue to do in your life. All you got to do is hang with the right company. You get around some Peters and Johns, some people who can lift you up in the word.

Rob Dawson:

You get around this word. You constantly flood your soul and your mind with the word Every single day. Listen to Faith on Fire, if you got to. Every single day, get in your Bible. Open up your Bible app, read a devotion, do whatever you have to do to stay connected and to abide in the word of God, because it's the word of God that gives you life. It's the word of God. That's God to help you get through your trials and your tribulations. It's the word of God. It's going to help you stay on top when you get on top.

Javier Olguin:

Yeah.

Rob Dawson:

Yeah, I love that man, that they were amazed bro.

Javier Olguin:

Wow, they were amazed. They were amazed, man. It says be very careful, then, how you live, not as unwise, but as wise, and then check this out. It says making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. If we're talking about urgency and being focused, we must learn to take advantage of the opportunity, of the time, the talent and the treasure that God has given us today. What are we doing with the opportunities that God has given us? Let me tell you something.

Javier Olguin:

You said something powerful earlier, rob. You said a moment with God can change your life forever, and I just want to tell you today, tonight, whatever time you're listening to, take advantage of the moment, the time and the opportunity that God has given you today to live. Do not waste another minute being lethargic, being lazy, sitting down, laying down, feeling hopeless. You need to go out there and be everything that God said you are and seize the opportunities in the moment and take captive of it. Take captive of it and go out there. It says making the most of every opportunity. Because why the days are evil? The days are evil, the devil is evil, the devil is ugly. But let me tell you something You're an overcomer and greater is the spirit in you, and God has something great and big for you in your life, and so let's remove the distractions. Remove the disruptions, stop making excuses and start making executions. Come on.

Rob Dawson:

Hey, we're going to end on that note, bro. That is strong, listen. Faith on fire, baby. That's all I got to say. Faith on fire, baby.
