In life, we have two choices, to experience or to exist. Every week, each of us makes that choice to either seek a better way to live or to get by. walk alongside me each week on the strive seek find podcast as we continue to seek our own brilliant future. I'm your host chance Whitmore. Many of us been looking for meaning in the events of the last two years. And while watching the news recently, something hit me. Are we stuck in a societal cycle of grief. As always, these opinions are strictly my own. Take them for what they're worth. Now let's get started. For our purpose, today, we're going to be basing this diatribe on my limited knowledge of the Kubler Ross five stages of grief. I'm going to keep this surface level. But if you're curious, I've attached a pretty good description on the strive seek find page on Facebook. So the stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. If you look just at the titles, it seems to describe most of the emotions that I at least have been rotating through for the past couple of years. I thought about going through the entire list and talk about how it fit me personally, and maybe how it spun into the societal level. But that's not what caught my attention. Or really what I want to ask you on some level, and I realize this is simplistic, has the sense of loss, many of us are feeling coalesced into the rage that we're seeing in day to day life. I mean, people attacking each other in airports, or stores, or people getting stabbed or shot over fast food orders. I mean, it happened prior to this. But since COVID, it seems to have accelerated into so far unseen levels. Does it explain denial, not just denial effects, but denial of how our choices are impacting those people around you. For example, those moments where we pretend that things haven't changed, that they aren't any different than what they once were. And because of this, we are spinning back and forth between these problems still. And often the corner acceptance is standing, kicking stones and waiting for us. Hey guys over here. Really, are we really moving forward? Because grief isn't linear. We spin between things. anger, depression, denial. Is it any wonder that we as individuals are short tempered wrecks at times? Is it any wonder that it's easy to bring up the mob mentality and all sorts of groups? Is it any wonder that the world seems to continue to spin out of control? In the meantime, recognition at a personal level of where we're at may help us move forward in ways that others cannot? Once again, we can't fix society by ourselves. But we can work on ourselves and make it better. What do you think? This article deals with the fact one of the founders of alphabay one of the biggest illegal sites The dark web as re establish the site just four years after it was taken down by the FBI. Alpha web was apparently an immense sale site dealing with everything up to an including hard drugs over the dark web. one of the founders who goes by the handle, the snake has reopened it, claiming that transactions on the site are even more untraceable. For most of this, this will probably mean nothing. The dark web is something we hear referenced on television rather than a real concern. But when you consider the multitude of identity scams, credit card number sales, and child pornography that flows around the dark web, it becomes something you should be aware of.
