The thought of conflict between people being not only a matter of right but or doing right is quite foreign to our culture. You don’t hear of people doing things to do right but to get what they believe to their rights.
That anyone who has been wronged would simply give up their moral and legal right to exact their fair share of compensation for the wrong done against them for some greater good is very difficult for our legal system, our peer group, and sometime our families to deal with. When you are wronged you should expect compensation. When someone threatens your rights, you have the right to fight them.
The thought of someone intentionally paying for right, rather than defending their rights is a rare jewel indeed.
