So being committed to life, that is the theme of what I want to talk about today, Thomas. Are you ready? Surprise topic. I never know quite to expect with Teresa. Well, I'm looking forward to it. You know, for the I'm almost a five years with this podcast in the first four and a half years or so, I was very regimented on interviews and subject matter. And now I'm like, let's just talk about and chat about what's going on.
for us and for you guys out there in the world. Yeah, I guess I look forward to that because I can share what insights I get from spirit as we touch upon certain topics. And I always get surprised at like what's on your mind. And what's on my mind, you might say, the insights that we've been getting through the week or some of our experiences, you know, relate to each other, although
Your journey is different than my journey. I, know, for example, you've been talking a lot about blame and you were sharing with me this morning, how like you realized, what I'm doing in my thoughts this morning is a, a version of blame. It's not, you know, in a big outlandish way, but it's, it's like a version of that. And that's so cool because you're unfolding those layers. And I have those aha moments as well.
So you sharing about blame also helped me kind of take a look at that area and reflect upon it as to how it just gets in the way of moving forward, you know, spiritually. Yeah, absolutely. And so that's part of being committed to life. So I, I've really lately embraced more about this aspect that for every single person on the planet now, you know, we are committed to being here, committed to life. And so
recognizing for myself like, okay, so this past week I've been working with on blame because I'm working in a, I'm in a container of energy with my healer down in Melbourne, Australia, with this group that we are working week by week on big parts of life. And so the thing that came up this past week was around blame. And so then I had all kinds of things popping up at work and at home around
that I've blamed other people for things that I've done myself and putting the blame outside of me when it's like my issue. So I'm being committed to life and showing up for the things that we put ourselves in and want to be involved in is really important. What do you think about that time about being involved? Being involved is what we're here for. You know, I've been watching some YouTube videos on Edgar Casey.
who when I first started searching spiritually way back in the, you know, 40 something plus years ago, I ran across Edgar Cayce books. And what's nice about these YouTube videos is they summarize a lot of his thoughts and things that he shared with people when he went into that trance that he would go in and, you know, it was a long time ago, like a hundred years ago or something. And one of the things he shared was that
before we incarnate, we're like really enthusiastic about coming. And that's something that we share a lot, you know, through the Wayshower's College and some of the materials that we've gotten organized to share spiritual truth and help people get in touch with their own, you know, spiritual energy and, and, you know, help regroup themselves. So,
It just struck me that he is slightly different words, but it was the same thing that you know, we were keen to come and we had things organized and we chose, you know, the situation we were going to incarnate into for the lessons that are provided. And I just so to me, when you ask me, do I want to be involved? Yes. I mean, I need to be involved because as one of the themes that we've been sharing a lot about lately is
everything that's in my life is like perfect for what I came to accomplish from that spiritual perspective. Right. And so that that commitment and that's, you know, saying, Hey, I'm coming back for a life and and also what am I involved in? So like back to this group I'm in, it's for a six week container. And so whenever I I've noticed for myself over the years when I signed up for something, as soon as I sign up,
and say, hey, I'm, I'm, want to do that. Things start happening. And so sometimes those things that happen can be challenging. And I've noticed too, in the past that when I've wanted to go do something and then right before it, something happens, I get sick or I'm not going there. And, and so something's moved in energetically to almost like test me. Am I going to be able to make it to that? Am I, am I going to give up, you know,
stop what I'm doing the process and say no, I'm not going to that and then who knows what I missed in the past. So recognizing for myself that especially in this container I'm in right now that even before that happened and before we started the first week which is about blame and who knows what this next week's gonna be about but I recognize that things started stirring within me and it was kind of uncomfortable because these are some big topics that we're diving into and you know and then unfolding and
and peeling the next layer of my onion. So I really want to bring that up because I've noticed that with other people too and things that they've been involved in and even like our intuition now classes, you know, we normally have quite a few people who sign up for the classes and then only a couple a sprinkle show up. And it's just interesting. Like whenever, you know, when we do sign up or do say, I want to do this, how many people actually, you know, get there?
to actually, you know, show up for the event. Yeah, I mean, we get a lot of people that sign up. And there's always a portion though, that don't. that's everywhere. This is not just us. Yeah. So we get, you know, a good following. Awareness is the key word that comes to me is that as I, I've had that experience as well, where I've signed up for a spiritual course, you might say, is what we call them our workshop where I know it's coming up in so many months, I've
I've committed my energy to it. My guidance, my spiritual helpers or spiritual guides, they increase my awareness, they tune me into things that are probably experienced every other day, but I'm not as conscious of them, you know, so like you were sharing with me this morning, how I forgot the example, but you were sharing how like, you know, you weren't blaming in a real outwardly loud
kind of way. But you notice that in your thoughts you were doing you were putting a little blame on someone else. Now, there's truth in the blame in the sense that it takes two to tango, you know, is our favorite little saying, and I will attract experiences and energy around me. And what I mean by energy is just people are energy, you know, or the souls around me that are going to stimulate those areas for me to take a look at.
So rather than responding from your spiritual bigger picture or that inner wisdom that you have, and moving from service and love, you know, in certain situations, you know, we get stimulated to blame, or react, you know, or we're reacting rather than responding to situations. So to me, the spiritual growth is all about that, like learning, or becoming more aware.
you know, that's probably the best way to put it for me right now is I become more aware of what's holding me back from from really being in that movement of happy and free and magnetizing what I want to myself, you're going to magnetize things that you're emanating your your energy no matter what. So it's important to begin to take a look at that. And I always get a kick out of you were
talking about a friend of yours that leans one way politically, and someone in their family leans another way politically. And, you know, they think the other one is so bad, you know, that, my God, you're just, know, however, the underlying spiritual issue is the same between them. You know, like they get stubborn in their belief systems and
that's the key essence of it. They may lean one way or another kind of based on all kinds of situations, their personality or the ideas they think might work best and that kind of thing. But the spiritual common commonality is they're not accepting of where the other person's at and they take it personally.
So what do you have to say about that? Well, I just laugh a little bit because for me, it's really all about for where I'm at and making spirituality practical, this unseen parts of us, which is what we're all about, is that not being able to step out of like patterns I've had my whole life and recognize that, you know, like where I'm at now and not stepping into those patterns. So like this morning, I'll give a little more detail about that is
So, you know, both of my daughters don't connect with me. so, and they're in different places and going through different life experiences. And I completely honor that. But there are people on the outskirts of my previous family and et cetera that, that I, you know, I know feed them certain viewpoints on my, on who I am and my beliefs and whatever. And so that's where I was going to go this morning is I was like, well, you know, okay.
what I've recognized this week around the blame and how I someone who's actually quite keen on you connecting with your daughters actually exacerbates the situation. She talks to them. Absolutely. So in in knowing this, I was like, you know, there there was like a little dagger that came out that I held and it's like, you know, I could just stab her with this.
with this because this would really stab her if I said this. mean, I'm not literally, but you know what I'm saying? Like the words, how words stab and like, and I, as far as I'm saying this, I'm getting like my heart, I'm feeling it like filled up with energy because this is how this is a pattern I've done my whole life. Like I've always gotten back at them that revenge or that, you know, determination that, if you, if you're going to cut me, I'll cut you twice as bad, right? which it doesn't feel good as I'm saying it, but, in recognizing
and discerning how that blame has come in and how I used to just react. It was really a reaction. That's a healing. And so for myself, I recognize, wow, this morning when I was saying it to you, holy crap, I really could have gone down that avenue of the same pattern I've done for decades, but I didn't. And I realized that it doesn't do anybody any good for me to put that blame outside of myself. There's a reason why I have
created this situation with my daughters that no longer talked to me one eight years one four or five years and Why is that and so that's my exploration? I think that's an important piece of this is that for you know people listening to this is Recognizing in yourself and of course, this is also many layers of onions, but that I've been taking off for years, right? But wherever you're at is recognizing, you know how What's the healing in a situation?
Yeah. And you know, that's where your spiritual guidance, as you know, can really help. But for our listeners, when you know how to work with your guidance and get clear answers from them, they can give you hints and insights and keywords, key phrases that help. I know for me, they helped me see because I'm a visionary, so I'll have to see it. What's what the pattern is, you know that so getting back to blame, you know, like
what I was saying, it takes two to tango is okay. So, you know, there's some truth there that person does stimulate a situation or keeps that energy of that disconnection, you know, unwittingly, they're usable instrument and they keep that from happening. But what is it in me that it keeps attracting this, you know, what are the thoughts and then feelings that I have really what are the concepts, the thoughts, the broken records that go on in my mind?
that, you know, create that energy or help reinforce that energy. You know, when you were sharing earlier about your chest feeling the heaviness in your heart. So for me, that chakra area in your heart area is drive or your incentive. So you may have felt like every time this happens, you lose some incentive. And then you want to go down the rabbit hole and maybe the pity party. Now,
that's normal, like this is so be aware of what area in your physical body is being stimulated. And, you know, and, and, of course, there's, there's also the confused souls that also help, you know, keep this whole thing alive. And, you know, by becoming more aware of your guidance, you can start to separate the wheat from the chaff, you can start to discern
Is this a past life pattern? Is this something now? How am I stimulating this? In other words, so how am I stimulated? Where's what's the fear that comes up? What's the fear of success or the in you know, if is it injustice? What what? What is the aspect of it that I keep thinking about or and you know the in a general sense, we just end up replacing that with love.
You know, if I, if I have confidence and I'm relaxed, it's amazing how things just roll off my back. You know, it's like water off a duck's back kind of a thing. So anyways, those were some of the thoughts that you stimulated. And I certainly relate to exactly what you're talking about. have similar, you know, experiences throughout the week. And I'm really glad you brought in the physical part because I think this is a part that people have a hard time or challenging time relating to.
especially if people that are more in their head than their heart and are and there's also a big disconnect right now with with the way people eat and the way people drink alcohol, the way people smoke pot, the way people take in all these numbing factors into the body and so then they can't feel so much. And I know for myself, I'm on the fourth year of being sober. I haven't drank alcohol and this is my fourth fourth year I'm in right now. So
And it has honestly for myself taken me to a whole new level of discerning and feeling in my physical body like never before. So when you mentioned the physical and how these things have come up the last week or we can half about blame and different things I'm moving through, I have felt it first. So before this even happened at work, I had a situation where I do invoicing and so I, I was invoicing for an event we had and I
And there were some additional things to add to the invoices that wasn't part of this event that I added in. And then people, some of the people I sent invoices to started coming in back and saying, well, what is this for? Just questioning it. And I had this visceral feeling in my whole being of I did something wrong. And it's funny because then my guidance said, no, you didn't do anything. I like literally also had that feeling and that insight from them that, you know, it's okay what you did.
but it brought up so much around myself being wrong and being, but it was a visceral feeling. It was in my whole body. So before I even got to go into thinking about it too much, I felt it in my being. And that's even how the blame has been this past week. And this morning we were talking about it. Another experience. Absolutely. So it's so interesting that being able to feel so much and then put together these pieces through
working with my guidance, through connecting with my, you know, with my, my perceptions of psychic perceptions that we talk about every month on our intuition now class and our intuition now expansion experience, those insights from those classes, they're, they're like, they're priceless. And so being able to access those and understand on that level has just helped me so much. Yeah, it's so typical, you know, you can feel great. And then something comes up, you feel like you're making progress, you're really enjoying your life.
or I've been in that mode and then a little stimulation occurs which reawakens an old fear. I was watching a movie with you last night and one of the things that struck me about it was there was a mother that had a certain personality, more, I don't think they were middle class, but it was more of the southern kind of maybe,
don't know. It's not redneck. What would you call it? it's just that southern hospitality way. I like over the top, like really traditional kind of a traditional. Yeah. And anyway, so the mother had one and she was very judgmental, you know, about everything around her. And we've all met people like that. Nothing, you know, met her expectation. So and then the daughter is a successful businesswoman. And
she's taken a different path in life. You know, she's been in her career, doesn't have any kids. And she always felt that here's the key is that she always felt disconnected from her mother that she was judged. And she got down to this, saying, you know, I always feel like I'm an outsider in my own family. And then the mother began to share this, you know, finally got to this point in the movie, where
she felt like an outsider in her own family and rejected by the daughter. So these two people felt exactly the same fears or had the same issues. That's the spiritual part. Two different ways of going about their life, two different outlooks in terms of their opinions of the world and how to proceed and so forth. But they think they're so different from each other.
but they're actually very similar, which is why they have such trouble with each other. Because what you see in me, you have in you. So realizing that those concepts, habits, and attitudes are passed down from generation to generation. And there's an old Bible quote, the fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge. And that's referring to that almost like a karma kind of thing where
when you come in in your first seven years, you're such years all sensitivity, and you'll pick up the habits and attitudes of your parents. Of course, we've talked about this before. So spiritual awareness is becoming more and more aware of who is the true me, what are my true feelings about this. And then as I really tune into that bigger picture of the and tune into the inner wisdom that I have from lifetimes, and begin to make that practical.
That's what we're all about with intuition. So you know, the language of spirit is the language of feelings. It's not always something you figure out. You have an interpretation and your intellectual organize, you know, what you're experiencing can help organize that. And then working with your guidance is they give you these like, oh, that's it, you know, so we I guess, at the bottom line is, is why do we always
short seem to short circuit our experience, we think we're having a great time and then a little, because these old habit patterns are going to show up until I take a look at them. And then, you know, as Edgar Casey said, in one of these videos I was watching, which is something we've been sharing, is that, you know, you could be the first in your family to change those habit patterns. And you don't, I don't have to change anyone else. I've just got to work on myself.
And then that energy as a soul that just echoes out into my environment. People feel that and they start to work with their guidance. So that's the big key, know, it's helping people discern what they're feeling, open up their sensitivity, and then tune into their spiritual helpers who are there to help them master these areas that we've all been working on. Yeah, 100 % agree, especially with the part about
working with my working on yourself and it starts at home because it does radiate out. It ripples out. It, know, that the echo expands out. And so I, you know, I guess the big reality for myself is recognizing that there's no, I can't change anybody. I can try it, right? Tom, I can, I can really try. can try. Oh, and you try to control everything, but I can't control anything but myself, but I can be influential.
I can be enthusiastic. I can be, inspiring to other people if I'm in the right place and I come from a place of love. So I think, you know, being committed to life and recognizing what we're all involved in at this moment in time is a real important thing because I think it's a, it's an ability to, to really recognize that no matter what you're involved in, you know, being in action.
taking taking you know the steps to what you need to do next for the next thing to come next thing to come and recognizing what if you can you know how to start discerning the energies working with your spiritual helpers those you know your intuitive perceptions and accessing those to really support you where you're at in your journey. Also you know there's a lot of healing energy that's available from working with spirit. So when we tune into that true concern or that love vibration in our true feelings.
That's when we can start to heal ourselves spiritually. And then the physical healing takes place often a little later because it took you a while to get your physical body into that situation. And even in heal relationships, it took you a while to get into that pattern with certain people in areas where you're stimulated. So, you know, that constructive thought and action.
and service and love, you know, those are key words for expanding spiritually. All the great religious leaders, you know, often shared aspects of service, love, that love vibration and that healing within. And that's really important. know, it's a planet Earth. We can get stimulated to want power over people. But when I tune into that love,
my true feelings rather than my emotions or get caught in my emotions. Emotions are valid. It's just, I don't want to get caught there. So how are you feeling about being committed to life, Tom? Well, I am I'm here. You've damn shown up. showed up. And well, you know, lately, the thing that's been on my mind is certain relationships. I think one of the big themes is certain relationships, certain situations have shown up in my
life in my family, I have had certain patterns, when I've moved into new relationships. And I'm at this place where I'm willing to take a look at that. You know, it doesn't happen overnight, like spiritual growth is by the inch, it's a cinch, you know, by the yard, it's hard. So right now, I have a new enthusiasm kind of reawakened my enthusiasm because you know, I'm beginning to see solutions to those patterns.
you know, my guidance is giving me those insights. And I'm not so hard on myself that I can just go, wow, you know, that's how I've getting back to blame. That's how I kind of set that up, you know, or that's how I feed that pattern to keep moving. And a pattern that doesn't help me move forward. It's not being of service to myself or others. It's just staying in that, you know, and it can be comfortable, you know, as we shared in one of our
spiritual perspectives, discerning news podcasts can be comfortable. It's, you know, it's for camaraderie, I want to return back to my old gossip or the blaming or the whatever, when really, I want to step beyond it. After a while, you just get tired of it. So you you move beyond. That's what I found. So do want to ask me how I feel being committed to life is?
How does it feel for you, Teresa, to be committed to life? It feels darn awesome. Well, depending on the day, no, you know, I really am. Well, depending on the moment or the afternoon or the morning, depending upon the minute and what's going on. overall, yeah, overall. No, I, you know, I feel I really feel grateful for being right here right now and and really being able to share in this this
perspective for those listening out there and for the journey. mean, like it's an unfolding journey for all of us and I just really feel grateful for it. So I'm happy to be here. So cheers to that. Cheers to that. And thank you all for listening or watching on our YouTube channel. Another episode of Enthusiastically Spiritual. We appreciate you so much.
