"Argue with reality, you'll suffer."  In this powerful conversation, Brad Axelrad from Face Your Dragon podcast, explores the growing sense of disconnection many people have experienced in the post-COVID world and why fear often sits at the center of personal struggle and transformation. Together, the discussion dives into the five core fears that can keep people stuck, disconnected, and hesitant to fully step into their purpose.

"Your fears are your friend." Brad shares how facing fear instead of avoiding it can become a gateway to freedom, fulfillment, deeper connection, and authentic personal growth. The episode also highlights the importance of self-regulation, emotional awareness, and practical daily habits that support longevity, well-being, and resilience during rapidly changing times.

This conversation offers a grounded and practical spiritual perspective on navigating uncertainty, building meaningful connections, and learning how small consistent steps can create lasting transformation.  "Everything happens for a reason."

So Brad, in a world where there's so much connection these days, why do you feel people feel so disconnected to themselves and others?

Brad Axelrad (00:11)
Well, ⁓ there was that thing called COVID, I think, that was one of the shocking, jarring things to our system ⁓ that created isolation and us living in our own spaces, which was, I think, a gift for so many to be with ourselves at that level and to experience the levels of fear and uncertainty that ⁓ so many avoid. ⁓

TNT SpiritWorks (00:19)
What was that?

Brad Axelrad (00:39)
You know, I think I think fear is our friend and that we should embrace the discomfort that we might have even going out in a social setting where we'll be near someone and afraid to open up and communicate or afraid to go out into a social setting because of the discomfort that comes from ⁓ energetics and our old programming and imprinting from our childhood, all of our trauma, all that stuff.

that keeps us separate in our own world and not open. Our hearts aren't open, our minds aren't open, our thoughts aren't open, and we're protecting ourselves at some level and we avoid connection because it can be uncomfortable, I think.

TNT SpiritWorks (01:20)
That's a good way to say it because yeah, that big event that happened to all of us or many of us, because I mean, there's some new little souls that have come in since then, but boy, it really did make a big change for how we all interpret moving in and out of the world and connecting with people. So, Brad, I'd like you to share a little bit about who you are and who do you serve for what you do.

Brad Axelrad (01:44)
which part of me at this point, there's just so many different lifetimes. I just, excuse me, I've ⁓ been traveling a lot. just off of a year's ⁓ travel and landed back here in the US about three weeks ago. And so I'm kind of reintegrating to the US ⁓ life and what that means. It's a lot of driving. I forgot how much we drive here.

TNT SpiritWorks (01:46)
you

Brad Axelrad (02:08)
But the most recent iteration of me is a podcast guesting business called Get Me On Podcasts. And that's a culmination of decades of producing hundreds of live events with some of the biggest thought and business leaders, bestselling authors, top doctors, biohackers, been around the transformational leadership space and the tail end of that the last four or five years in the biohacking space. And, you know, been blessed to have been

⁓ interviewed on lots of podcasts, but also helping others get interviewed. And I had a podcast with people you might know, really amazing humans that I'm blessed to call friends. ⁓ Guest number one was Don Miguel Ruiz of The Four Agreements, one of my favorite books of all time. Guest two is Gay Hendrix, another incredible body of work and conscious loving and a big leap.

⁓ Guest number three, Christine Carlson from Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. These are all friends and peers. And the reason I'm name dropping is to say that I'm so grateful and honored and humbled by all the work I've been doing for two decades, helping others transform their lives, face their fear.

⁓ My core brand and message is faceyourdragon.com, which is really understanding that there's five core fears. We can talk more about that later, but there's five core fears that prevent us as entrepreneurs and as humans really from getting out and being our full expression and living in our full happy, joyous states and traveling and doing all the things we're sometimes afraid of because we hear stuff on the news and don't go to Mexico. It's dangerous. Don't whatever it is. And it is. A lot of those are true.

But a lot of them aren't. And we need to just lean in and trust our own intuition, our own guidance. And yeah, quick synopsis there.

TNT SpiritWorks (03:48)
So a year traveling, what got you started on that? Because that sounds pretty exciting to me.

Brad Axelrad (03:53)
Well, ironically, my first move was to here in Boulder when I, well, I grew up in Northern California mostly. I moved to Southern California in 1998. That was a big leap, know, middish 20s and said, I'm moving and, you know, and packed my stuff up and moved. And we were just talking about that before we started. ⁓ So I made that first leap and then I was there for 25 ish years and built this large

body of friends and business associates and transformational leaders. And that was really my sweet spot for a long time. And I moved to Boulder. I came to Boulder for a year and a half. But there's this thing called winter here in Boulder. So the first winter was cool. I'm like, oh, this is incredibly cold, but I'm going skiing. And then the second winter came around. The middle of October, it hit minus 17. I'm looking at the weather in Laguna Beach. It's 76 degrees and sunny. And I thought, this is not for me.

TNT SpiritWorks (04:48)
You

Brad Axelrad (04:48)
I

love the mountains. I love the snow. I'm out of here. And I moved back to Laguna Beach. that was kind of my first, OK, I'm going to take the leap and do something that I've wanted to do. And then ever since then, that was 12 years, 12ish years ago. I've been living around the world. I lived in Costa Rica for almost two years. I lived in Mexico, mostly in Playa del Carmen and Tulum for two years. I just came back from Asia.

I was five months in Thailand and Vietnam. Excuse me. And I'm still adapting to the elevation here and the dry air. It's different than humid, steamy, Thailand weather. ⁓ But in short, there's a great big world out there. And we get to experience it if we

TNT SpiritWorks (05:24)
Yeah, one mile up, right? Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Brad Axelrad (05:40)
do the necessary things to get there. And for me, I wanted to be able to live and work from anywhere. And that means facing my fears around whatever that means and being able to do that. So I could share more, but I've lived all over the place and just was in Medellin and Costa Rica and Mexico City and Tulum and then Asia and then now back to the States.

TNT SpiritWorks (06:04)
And so after traveling around, do you feel is the difference between how we here in America or the Western civilization connect and how other places don't connect or do connect? What's your take on that?

Brad Axelrad (06:15)
it's so different

everywhere. Yeah, mean, the Latin culture is all about connection. At some level, it's this beautiful, exotic kind of sensual salsa and family and Catholicism. And it's always about the family unit and connection. there's a beauty in that. There's a shadow side in everything. At some level, it's almost superficial because we're supposed to do this. We're supposed to be with the family. So there's sort of an automaticity or an automatic thing that happens.

in that style of connection and community. And now I'm in Boulder, which is such a different experience. So there's a saying that I love that is one of the most potent things that I've been living by and noticing through my travels and through my lifetime. Go where you're celebrated, not tolerated.

And there's so many places where we are just sort of tolerated. We might not fit in. just we have different value systems, different goals, different excitement, different passions. Excuse me. And. ⁓

TNT SpiritWorks (07:21)
You did say right before we started, had some chili, right, Brad?

Brad Axelrad (07:24)
I did. needed to eat something so I

had some power. I've been on just back to back all morning and I'm so grateful for all the cool things going on. Yeah, excuse me. I don't know what's happening. I've got a little bit of an itch right now, which wouldn't normally be here. So it's different everywhere you go. The cultural differences, the language barrier is something that I noticed. I was seeking more connection in my heart and my soul when I was in Thailand and Vietnam and it wasn't being filled. I speak Spanish pretty well.

So when I'm in Latin American countries, I can communicate with the locals. I can feel the vibe of the culture of the land. And when I was in Asia, it was beautiful. It's amazing. I love the people. It's super safe, but I couldn't connect there. So it's lacking connection. And one of the things I was yearning for was to get back to California and Colorado in particular, because I'm celebrated here. I've had 20 invites already. I've been here five days. Right. It's like everyone, my gosh, come, we want to see you.

TNT SpiritWorks (08:21)
you

Brad Axelrad (08:24)
That happens in California, but not really. And you're from there. You've lived there. It's everyone's kind of nuclear family and spread out and busy. They're all busy. So it's different. Where we go?

TNT SpiritWorks (08:29)
you

Absolutely. So obviously you've been around, you've had your, you know, some career you've grown, you've, you've expanded. And I really want to come down to like, you know, regular people being practical with how to move through this world ⁓ and facing our fears. Like you mentioned a little while ago, I want to talk obviously about facing your dragon and the five elements that you bring in beautifully, because I think these might be keys for people who are looking for, you know, finding how to

Brad Axelrad (08:48)
Ahem.

TNT SpiritWorks (09:08)
make the changes in life that they're currently feeling, because that's what I kind of get from you. You're feeling like, let's explore around the world and open up my heart and figure out how to kind of move through the phase you're going in, because I feel we're all in different phases. So I'd like to share. Let's start with the five different dragons, Brad. That's a good place to start.

Brad Axelrad (09:29)
OK, so when I was producing events, I had a terrible fear of public speaking. And I noticed when I was working with people at the events, ⁓ I some of the biggest thought leaders on my stages. And I'm standing next to them. I was the emcee. There were my events. would be hundreds of people there. Super fun. And I embodied the discomfort really well. Excuse me, jeez. ⁓

And I found that in myself there were fears. I'll get to them in a second. But I found that there were the underlying fears of talking on camera or charging what we're worth or public speaking or ⁓ the fear of ⁓ being found out in some way. And that's the first drag, the imposter syndrome. So I'll say them really quickly. Imposter, scarcity, value, unheard, and critics. So.

What I found in myself as I listed out 30 of the main fears that I experienced as now new thought leader 20 years ago, I'm on stages, thrusted out on NBC Nightly News and PBS television and USC News and LA Times and Orange County Register. I've been a CBC News candidate. I had to lean in. I couldn't hide. It was like, OK, I'm here. So what am I feeling? Well, I feel like an imposter. Who am I to do this? Right.

Will this make any money? That's the scarcity dragon. Will I be heard in some way or criticized? They all work in conjunction with each other and we felt them all. So again, imposter, scarcity, value, unheard, and critics. So we don't charge what we're worth. Will family members criticize us? Get a job, keep a job, all the things. So I'm sure you've experienced that in your works. ⁓

You know, again, public speaking has literally set me free. It's gotten me everything I've ever wanted. This is a form of public speaking. So what I like to say on the Face Your Dragon podcast with all these amazing celebrity thought leaders is that we are, boy, let me think about it. It's been a minute. What you're most afraid of and most resisting are the very things that will set you free. It's your ⁓ gift, your moneymaker and your purpose on the planet. So for me, that was public speaking.

And it's given me everything I've ever wanted. have a business or I can work anywhere on the laptop, which I do. And it's so wonderful. Yeah. So your fears are your friend. We can leverage them into our great work in the world if we have the courage to lean in and name them, get out of our comfort zone, whatever that looks like. We like our creature comforts. I have adjusted to living on the road. I know what certain things to bring on the road that allow me to have that creature comfort experience.

You know, I owned a place right next to Newport Beach and Costa Mesa for 12 years. I had a nice space there, big, beautiful space, know, pool, hot tub. was beautiful, but I was comfortable and at some level was not leaning into my greatness because I was afraid and comfortable.

TNT SpiritWorks (12:28)
Interesting because I am from for myself. I find that the biggest challenge has been like feeling fulfilled and what I'm doing and accessing that fulfillment through like the fears you're saying like, you know, do I step into this new position or do I do I not? And so I think that fear and the challenge of change is what a lot of people really face these days. And it's one of our I feel one of our probably biggest aspects of, trying to

Brad Axelrad (12:37)
Mmm.

TNT SpiritWorks (12:57)
step into our greatness versus just being where we're at and just like you're saying, just kind of solid in one place. It's like, okay, so it's time to move, it's time to go. And so what are some ways that you support people or you've guided people in whenever they're like, how do I step into that and make that change and break through that fear?

Brad Axelrad (13:18)
Hmm. ⁓ Take a breath. So fear is excitement without the breath, the founder of Gestalt therapy. So I noticed as you asked that, was like, am I feeling fear? What am I feeling? Not really so much anymore. If I'm about to go on a stage, I'm going to have some adrenaline and stuff. But so just tuning in kind of to the thought of that, not so much the feeling of the fear right now. I'm not saying you're to do this, although it is good to tune into what we're experiencing.

But most of the time we stop breathing. That's why I slowed down and just took a breath because we don't. We're tense. We're eating things that aren't good for us. mean, of course, we should splurge once in a while. We're drinking things that aren't good for us. Alcohol at night, coffee in the morning. I don't think any of that stuff's good for us. I don't do either.

And I watch people who are regular drinkers that jolt themselves awake in the morning with caffeine, like, wow. So all those things are hard on our nervous system, first of all. So the baseline of your nervous system, the fight or flight system, is already activated because of all the different hormonal changes you're bringing into your experience, sugar, carbs. So that's one thing. Diet helps. Gut healing helps. ⁓

But first of all, are you breathing? those are kind of the foundational fundamental things. What are you eating? What are you thinking? How's your sleep? What do you expose yourself to on television? How are you clearing that energy out spiritually? What are you doing spiritually? Are you meditating? Are you communicating with any sense of higher energetics, whatever that means to you? Yeah, so that's kind of the big, picture. But breath?

Exposure therapy as well, right? So whatever you're most afraid of, the more you lean into it, do it. So what I say, the hashtags I've been using for years, face your dragon, take the leap, break free. So whatever you're afraid to face, you gotta face it. That's it. Whatever it is, face your dragon. That's your power. Your shadow is your power.

It's not something we should be afraid of. We need to face it and harness it. Then we need to leap. Whatever leaping looks like. my gosh, I've always wanted to go to Italy, but I'm terrified to leave because I've got my comfortable little space and my dogs and my plants. And I'm not saying any of those things are bad. I'm just saying if you want to live the life you know you really want to that you're afraid to live, you've got to face your dragon, take the leap, and then you'll break free. Simple as that.

TNT SpiritWorks (15:54)
So what does Brad do when he gets that going? Is it the breath?

Brad Axelrad (16:00)
⁓ it's a lot of things. It's alkaline water. It's supplements. take 15, 17 supplements. I drink bone broth every day. I avoid, like I said, micro toxins as much as possible. I associate around ⁓ growth minded people. And I've learned in recent years that I can over function and try to make some things work that couldn't or shouldn't work.

Avoid over-functioning. Understand your codependent patterns. ⁓ One of the big things, deep exploration here is around, ⁓ really around the codependent over-functioning piece, where I've done that so many times in my life. I'm noticing it. I'm owning it. I'm naming it. A couple years ago, but in particular in the last six months, and something I'm really exploring is that how I create

too much stress and anxiety in my life by over-functioning. Do you know what over-functioning means? Probably, should we talk about that?

TNT SpiritWorks (17:03)
Yeah, we could talk about that because I'm

sure most people feel it, but probably can't name it. So let's talk about it for sure.

Brad Axelrad (17:10)
Yeah, I think I'll speak personally how it would show up. I would like the drama triangle, know, hero, savior, victim, perpetrator. If anyone knows that cycle that we all jump into, I'll see a person or a situation or a business partners or whatever. It's like, well, I know how to do that. Let me just jump in there and do it. Or let me help this person when I probably should have more boundaries and make sure I'm taking care of me first. So we'll overextend our energy.

overreach where we could or should and then get resentful and then play victim, right? So it's like we're hero, savior, then we're victim. And then after a while, you kind of play in that victim, but you're the creation of that dynamic. And then you become the perpetrator at some level. You're angry at them. You're hurt by them. We can lash out in ways that aren't helpful, right? We're not resourced. We've lost our resource.

And we're functioning from this depleted, ⁓ almost like, ⁓ it just sucked all of our life force energy. Not always, but sometimes. And then we're just not coming from a positive place, a resource place that is most useful for ourselves, our friends, our family, everyone else around us.

TNT SpiritWorks (18:29)
Yeah, that's a good way to say it. I feel too, there's like a right now there's a quickening and there's it's been going on for what? Quite a few years now, but there is a big quickening, especially with I don't know if you do astrology, but you Uranus moving into Gemini and it's this month on for seven years and it's going to be and I can already feel the energy just majorly shift, especially with the year of the fire horse. And there's I mean, there's so many perspectives of, know, of why now is a time to really

Brad Axelrad (18:35)
yeah. Yeah.

No.

Hmm

TNT SpiritWorks (18:58)
Understand more about yourself and to really dive into how to stay relaxed how to work like you saying the the nervous system my gosh, if we don't understand how to work that It's gonna be pretty challenging for even more challenging than people are already challenged

Brad Axelrad (19:14)
Well said. And now is the time we have to self-regulate more than ever because of the quickening. AI is advancing at insane speeds. That's scary and overwhelming. ⁓ Markets have shifted entirely. A lot of people are struggling financially. The real estate market's at a standstill. The worst, slowest. Denver, I just heard, was the slowest. And I think it was the most.

rapidly declining in value or slowest market or both in all of the US. So we're in for another 2008 collapse. I think it's just coming a little bit more slowly. And we need to prepare for this. There's going to be a lot of layoffs. A lot of people are going to be broke. A lot of bankruptcies. The highest rate of credit card delinquencies, highest rate of ⁓

school loans at this point. So there's a lot of stuff happening. And not to mention that that's like literally happening, but we feel it in the field, right? It's like that quickening is also just this low level anxiety that's in the field. And you see it in people driving and more road rage at some level. Like people are just at their edge post COVID. COVID started it and accelerated it. And then all this other stuff is continuing to amplify. Yeah, it's pretty intense.

TNT SpiritWorks (20:32)
is definitely intense, but I'm a believer of everything happens for a reason. And as you know, lot of things happen, maybe aren't the most exciting things or the things we, the way we maybe want them to look, but everything is a step for the next one to the next thing. And so like, you know, yeah, are you a believer like that too?

Brad Axelrad (20:55)
I mean, if we don't surrender like that, what is it? ⁓ What's that saying? ⁓ I forgot it. basically, ⁓ Byron Katie's saying is really great. If you've ever done the work or read the work. it's, ⁓ what does she say? says, ⁓ something along the lines of, ⁓ gosh, I can't believe I just forgot. I love that quote. I'll remember it. OK, we'll come back to that.

TNT SpiritWorks (21:23)
Yeah, you will. It'll come in.

It's called it's called too much stuff. It's called a quickening Brad.

Brad Axelrad (21:25)
Jeez, what is that? Katie.

Yeah, there's some of that.

brain doesn't function. Another reason I moved from Boulder was the elevation. It's just a little hard on my, I'm about 80 % here. I'm never more than 80. I'm just never more than 80 here. Yeah.

TNT SpiritWorks (21:40)
It's a lot.

No, I've been

out. I've been in Boulder and Denver many times and it's just a whole different place. Matter of fact, I was thinking back that recently where I was in a hotel in Atlanta one time and I was on like the 44th floor. I felt so ungrounded and this was way back before I even knew anything about energy or how to work with my energy. I just felt like, oh my gosh, I just, it was crazy. So, you know, to be a mile up, 44, 44 floors or a mile up Brad is just, yeah, it's a whole different ballgame.

Brad Axelrad (21:55)
Mmm, wealth.

Hmm

I

wonder what 44, so that's up there, isn't it? So 44 times 20, I mean, yeah, that's a couple thousand-ish feet maybe. Yeah, so there's some difference there. Interesting.

TNT SpiritWorks (22:13)
That's high.

Yes, absolutely.

Yeah, yeah. And so people living in different places and different heights and as well as everything going on, it's just, all takes an interesting toll on how to, as long as, especially if you don't understand about energy and how to work with your own personal energy, your own self, right? That self-regulating.

Brad Axelrad (22:29)
Mm.

Right. the

Katie's quote was, argue with reality, you'll suffer only every time. So basically, if we resist what is and don't surrender to what it is and let go of the oars, and one of my favorite workings, works that I'll talk about in a minute, ⁓ we've got to the oars go over the oars and float down our stream. We're always paddling and resisting. It's like, we've to let go. Trust your river of life.

TNT SpiritWorks (22:44)
Good one.

Interesting, because that was one of the, I had some keys that came up today and one of them, the word, well, he talked about connection, fulfillment, and the other one was longevity. So I think that's a good place to dive into for a little bit because, you know, how to make it to the end. And we're all gonna make it to the end and beyond, because we're all souls that never end. But in this reality and where we're at now and the quickening and all the things that are going on and the exposure to how many thousands of thoughts and things every single day,

Brad Axelrad (23:05)
Yeah.

Hmm.

Mm-hmm

Yeah.

TNT SpiritWorks (23:34)
how to keep that feeling that I have longevity while I'm here and I'm gonna do what I need to do.

Brad Axelrad (23:44)
Well, again, a big part of longevity is removing things that aren't good for us. People, ⁓ diet, situations, environments. I don't think it's good to live in less oxygen. think oxygen's, yes, we can acclimate to it. And I don't know the statistics around that. But I would suspect that people who are at sea level are healthier. I don't know, though.

But just for me, notice that, like I said, I'm about 80%. Even when I'm breathing off of an oxygen can, those little disposable oxygen cans, I'm still not all of me. And that's after being acclimated here for months. So I think environment's important. So we've got genetics. We have epigenetics, of course, which is our environmental things. ⁓ And removing microtoxins, whatever those are.

Sugar is a big one for most. mean, I still have some. I had this incredible grass-fed burger yesterday that, was amazing all with beef tallow and a gluten-free bun and like...

The point is it's those consistent things over and over and over. I just had my heart checked, a calcium score to make sure that my calcium test score was good. And we need to know what's going on. Blood work, we should always be in there to see what's happening. Removing micro toxin, then, now we know what our baseline is and what we're up to. Then start layering good things into our body. Whatever, I always drink alkaline water. I'm drinking a lot of electrolytes here.

I have a vegetable juice every day. I have a smoothie every morning that jacks me way more than coffee could. So it's got mixed berries, avocado, spinach, chia seed, hemp hearts, protein powder, cinnamon.

Some other male things it's got, oh gosh, what's that powder? I just blanked on the powder. But other things, like, you know, we're men, I'm 53. I need to keep the hormones moving too. It's like hormonal balancing is so key. Most will just offset all these hormonal freak outs with caffeine or other stimulants or Ambien or sleep pills. And don't get me wrong, I've done everything a lot in my life. Alcohol, drugs, like I've done it all.

But if for longevity, and thankfully our bodies repair themselves, our liver in particular, we can destroy ourselves for a long time and completely recalibrate and rebuild. So biohacks, what are those? ⁓ Hyperbaric oxygen chambers, ⁓ PEMF beds, ⁓ grounding, walking around outside on the ground with your freaking socks off and shoes off. We don't do that enough.

TNT SpiritWorks (26:05)
Yes.

Brad Axelrad (26:28)
You know, we need these things. It's natural. We need to be moving. When I lived up the mountains here, I was moving rocks. I lived in this beautiful cabin on a creek. And we'd be in the creek in the ice cold water moving rocks. It's like, you know, that's what we need to be doing. We move, we sit too much. Yeah.

TNT SpiritWorks (26:46)
Absolutely.

Yeah. And so what I hear you saying is it's all the baby steps and building on them, right, Brad, because people can be very overwhelmed. And I often say that even with podcasts, there's how many thousands, millions of podcasts out there. And so it's finding the ones that you you resonate with the energy you resonate with, like you're saying, if it's, you know, juicing, or if it's, you know, drinking good water, but I mean, it's the practicality of little steps that really build upon, you know, each one.

Brad Axelrad (26:52)
Right.

Yeah, and we don't notice. It's like going to the gym once. You're not going to notice anything. But you keep going. You're going to feel it, right? So same with diet and removing microtoxins and pollutants. ⁓ Yeah, it compounds over time. It really does. It's a very good point. And we've got to be committed to that.

I've noticed I've kind of slacked off on my meditation a little bit, but I feel like I've gotten to the point where oftentimes I can just be in a walking meditation and allow myself to relax into the moment enough and just look into nature and have that experience of allowing myself to just like surrender into the field.

And so mean, meditation is great. Don't get me wrong. It's proven to create incredible results. And I could probably do more of that. ⁓ But I think we can meditate when we're walking if we're surrendered enough and not jacked out on six cups of coffee. I was going to say seven, and then I said six, and it got a little funny.

TNT SpiritWorks (28:21)
Exactly.

Brad Axelrad (28:23)
It's

just my thinking. I used to really judge coffee drinkers. Like, my gosh, do you need that? Like, wake up and just bam, right in your bloodstream, caffeine. Like, my gosh, just drink some water with some lemon. Try that and then go make a smoothie.

TNT SpiritWorks (28:39)
Right. Yeah.

Brad Axelrad (28:43)
and you'll have sustained energy all day. I have so much more energy than most because I've got all these micronutrients in my body. And then if I do get tired in the afternoon, I hit it with a vegetable juice and that just skyrockets me for another five hours. It helps with your with your pooping. It helps with your energy. It helps with your thinking. Also, another thing that's I used to be a late night guy for a long time, just was it was younger.

TNT SpiritWorks (29:03)
Mm-hmm.

Brad Axelrad (29:12)
moved to Costa Rica, dark at 6 p.m. every night, so quiet, so still. You'd be tired by eight. Sometimes I'd stay up late, but most of the time you're asleep by eight, up at like four. And ever since I did that, like 11 years ago, my life has never been the same. I try to go to bed at nine and I'm up at five or six. And that's changed everything.

TNT SpiritWorks (29:35)
Yeah, I'm a 4am upper and I get I got a bed between eight and nine. So yeah.

Brad Axelrad (29:37)
Nice. ⁓ good for you. I was there

for a while. It's a little early now and if I'm around friends, it's kind of early. We're up till nine or 10 chatting, but.

TNT SpiritWorks (29:45)
Right,

right. Well, I live in, I work in a muggle world. So I have a muggle job. And so I have to be there by seven. Yeah. So it's good. So I leave by six 15. It is good. Yeah. So, um, and it's really great too, cause I get to practice all my spiritual stuff and moving through the world. And so like you're saying, you know, I'm around people that drink, you know, diet coke all day and eat sugar constantly. And, and I have, and it's also a part for myself of not judging people of where they're at.

Brad Axelrad (29:50)
wow. Okay, wow, that's early.

Ha!

Yeah. Yeah.

Right.

Yep. Yeah, same.

TNT SpiritWorks (30:12)
energetically and in their paths. I mean, because I've been there and done that too, just like you, Brad, I've,

you know, drank for years and eaten crap food. And I mean, it's just it's all a progression. But yeah, it's given me a real big reality check of just not judging where people are at, for sure. You know. So what's next for you, Brad? You're in Boulder. Yeah.

Brad Axelrad (30:28)
Mm-hmm.

Have, no, before I answer that, before I answer that, sorry, have you

seen the show enlightened on HBO? If you have not seen enlightened, it is brilliant. This woman goes, she has this spiritual awakening and she goes back to her job and she's trying to change the whole corporate environment based on the things we're talking. It's Laura Dern. She does an incredible job. I'm getting chills. Please watch that everybody. It was phenomenal. I think it only lasted one or maybe two seasons.

TNT SpiritWorks (30:39)
No, I haven't.

yeah.

Okay.

Mm-hmm.

Brad Axelrad (31:01)
because it's just not mainstream enough. Just like when Tony Robbins show came out, it lasted four episodes and they canceled it because people don't want that stuff. They want Jerry Springer energy or reality TV. It's Enlightened on HBO. It's freaking you'll message me back, Brad. This is amazing. It's so well done. So well done. So what's next for me? So I'm here until the middle of June.

TNT SpiritWorks (31:03)
Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, so it's called enlightened. Okay, I'll check it out.

Awesome.

Brad Axelrad (31:28)
I've got a business conference in Denver that I'm excited to attend a really cool community here. And just I came here to visit all my friends. These are my favorite people anywhere here in Denver. They're just exceptional human beings on so many levels and warm and open and deeply communicative around anything that's happening in their life. There's just, this is what's going on. this is what happened with this person. And this is where I'm at. And they're really self-aware and have this incredible desire to connect through open and honest and authentic relating.

And that's one thing I love about here, because most people have their mask up, their guard up, especially in corporate America or anywhere for that matter. This is a very safe place to be fully self-expressed and open, and it's very healing. So I'll be here for a couple more weeks. then back to Southern California for a conference that I'm consulting on. It's integrative.

Cancer conference dot com leading edge cancer holistic ⁓ integrative cancer techniques to help with cancer. So if anyone's listening that has any need for cancer ⁓ awareness or community or anything, please check it out. Really, really cool stuff they're doing there. ⁓ And so I'm going there to support their their event and.

And so and also I'll be a quasi celebrity there getting introduced to everybody as the consultant that helped everybody get booked on podcasts and in the media and things. So ⁓ so doing that and then and then I might go to Colombia for a month. being called to go to July is a nice time to be in Colombia. So I might the weather is there's a little pocket of no rain then and I might go explore Colombia and then I'll be back to Southern California for summer because it's my favorite place, July ish through October. ⁓

TNT SpiritWorks (33:06)
Mm-hmm.

Brad Axelrad (33:19)
