Jay and AJ catch up like two people who survived Halloween on vibes and Amazon Prime. Jay tells the story of him and Renae showing up to a DC house party dressed as “CDC employees laid off by RFK Jr.” with badges so legit people actually thought they worked for the government, then realizing there was a secret costume contest they obviously won. AJ runs through San Antonio’s marathon of queer Halloween events, warehouse parties, drag, and bar lines that were too long for his spirit. Then they veer straight into Bravo talk, dragging Sutton, defending Kyle (kind of), stanning Jennifer Tilly, and using “the morally corrupt Faye Resnick” as a lifestyle. They close out talking about levels of gossip, how everyone says “don’t tell” while telling everyone, and Jay deciding he actually likes being the morally corrupt one.

SPEAKER_01Hey, uh, hi, how are you? That was a lovely introduction. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Of course, of course. No, and you're worth every second of it. How are you?
SPEAKER_01I'm doing well. I um, you know, when I was like, hey, quick topics, what are we gonna discuss? And you like said Halloween, I was like, that was so long ago. Bitch, that was last week. It was one of the but it's I I trust me, I know. I cannot fucking believe that. There was just so many things going on, I guess. But um, yeah, it's I mean, uh the coming off of Halloween weekend, it was just wild and crazy per the huge. Um, but I want to hear about your DC Halloween weekend. Was this your first one?
SPEAKER_00No, no, I did it, I did Halloween last year, um, and it was a lot of fun. I think I did uh I did a lot last year for Halloween. That's right. I think I talked about it briefly. We I had got I had become a part of some party planning committee. We had like wristbands and I was kicking all the wrong people out. You remember that party?
SPEAKER_01I do not, I did I do remember that, but I do not remember it being Halloween. But it's starting to like, yes, you were at the stairs.
DC Halloween Costume Story
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes, yes. I had all the power of the bouncer, and then all the straight cats had to be like, you're not letting any women in. And I was like, oops, that's um no. This Halloween was a little bit more chill. I ended up going to, I didn't really want to do anything, to be honest. I I just had no desire to do anything. It's just been long and exhausting and haven't right, like really been in the mood. But the Halloween party got invited to is one of the few very good friends that I have here. And I was like, well, I kind of have to go, you know, we're friends, so I'm gonna go. And so me and uh friend of the show, Renee, we went and we literally had a a last-minute costume idea. We're talking Thursday evening, sitting on a couch saying, What should we do? We got on Amazon, we Googled, uh we we Amazon searched, you know, just like costumes, and then we just set to like prime and get it by tomorrow. And like that was how we started our search. And after going back and forth a few times, I think I finally did come to the realization that Renee might have been the one that came up with our costume idea, but after I had found the original thing, but then she was like, let's be whatever. Okay, so sorry, let me just get to it. All right, so we ended up being the CDC employees laid off by RFK Jr. So that was her Halloween costume. She was a research specialist, I think, is what we gave her as her name tag, which we'll get to the IDs of the badges in a minute, and lab coat, stethoscope and whatnot. And then I did the whole hazmat getup, the shoe covers, the gloves, the mat, the like respirator breathing mask, the whole hood, the whole thing. But I had made these these uh these CDC like badges with our picture on them and the CDC logo, and then mine said hazmat technician and my friend Renee's said research specialist. All right, cool. So I thought, hey, this might be slightly insensitive, but it's Halloween. You know, we'll have a good time. Tell me why, AJ, multiple times throughout the evening, people directly ask us, like, wait, are you really with the CDC? And I'm like, no, it's Halloween. And that happened like in the elevator on the way up to the party. Then we're at the party, and then we walk in and we're saying hello to everybody, and people are commenting on the costumes, and we're oh yeah, we also carried around um termination paperwork, right? And uh and so we're all having a gag, I got it, and whatnot. And then we like step outside because it's kind of hot. So we step outside, and me and Renee are outside, and this this girl comes up to us and she's like, Oh my god, you guys are you guys are scientists? She's like, I'm a scientist, I'm so happy my people are here. And I laughed, I thought she was joking. I looked at her costume with girl, you're not a scientist. She's like, no, she's really a scientist with I don't know who. And I was like, We're not scientists. This is a this is a costume. And she's like, Oh, I got really excited when I saw you guys. I thought you guys were the real thing. I thought you guys were really like CDC employees. And conversations like that happened multiple times throughout the night. What I do think it was though, I think it was our name bad, our badges, because they looked absolutely legit. Legit. Yeah. But then I had to think. I had to stop and think, you know, let's say like they were legit. We were real CDZ employees. Like, what federal employees out with their actual employment badge, like as a Halloween costume? Like, no one's doing that. At least I don't think so.
SPEAKER_01It's DC, so might be a little something there. I don't, I mean, I mean, but okay, so was it a successful costume you can use?
SPEAKER_00So it was a very successful costume because what I did not realize, I had, I honest to God didn't know, and everyone, everyone thinks I'm lying when I say this, is that there was a hollow, it was a costume contest. And in fact, uh, Renee asked me, is there gonna be a costume contest? And I told her, No, I should have said, No, there's not, it was just a costume party, that's it. So I get there, you know, we're in the party, we're having a good time, everyone's talking, and someone's like, Oh, you guys are definitely gonna win. And I'm like, When what? They're like, the costume contest is between you and so-and-so. And I was like, Oh, there's a costume contest. And they were like, Right, sure. You come in a perfect costume, and I was like, No, seriously, I had no idea. And so all night long I was told that we were the winners, but I'm still waiting for the final announcement. But I mean, I I I know that we were, so yeah.
SPEAKER_01Why is this taking so long? It's been a week.
Winning The Party Costume Contest
SPEAKER_00I had to follow up actually a couple days later and be like, hey, so um, can you update the party full announcement? Hey, what the fuck? With who's the actual winner? But I know it was us because it was only it was between me and one other girl, and she kind of self, self-included herself. Every everyone was like, You're the winner, you're the winner, and this one random girl was like, Oh, what's between Jay and me? And like, no one is even mentioning her at first. So what was her costume? I don't even know what her costume was. Um, it wasn't anything in particular. She just wore a sequin gown with light up, like almost like fairy wings. Okay. And then she was calling herself like a Baja Californian Egyptian goddess or something. It was it was it was it was a choice.
SPEAKER_01I mean, to say the very least, I would think, but yeah, well, that sounds fun. And house parties are always great for Halloween, no? Versus, it wasn't no, it was well, we went out after.
SPEAKER_00Oh well, but that's you, right? That's nothing to talk about. But tell me about your or or is it no? Actually, it's not. I'll tell you what I did. Actually, I'm a little ashamed to say this. Okay, so I wasn't feeling well for like a whole like day and a half prior to Halloween. Even on Halloween, I was telling Rennie, I'm like, you know, I can't kick this headache, I don't know what it is. XYZ. All right. So I get dressed. I I we we go to the Halloween thing. I'm having a good time. I'm hanging out with some people I haven't seen in a while. They convinced me to go out. Obviously, it didn't take a lot of convincing, just twist my arm. Um, so we go out, but like I was done drinking. I did not want to drink anymore. I had they had the strongest jello shot at this party was essentially rubbing alcohol with a splash of gelatin. They were ridiculously strong, and I had quite a few of them. So I was already beyond buzz, I'd already got drunk, I'd already kind of sobered up a little bit. I had a headache. We go out to the bar, and they're insisting that I do shots. At one point, I even did a shot ski. What am I? 25. Um, but every time somebody would buy me a shot, I would shoot it, and then I would go down to like fix my shoe and doing air quotes for those of you who can't see me, and then I would spit my shot on the ground, like inside the bar, spit it on the floor. I did it all night long. So I took no shots after I left the uh house party.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's smart. You know, I mean you're you're growing, you're learning, you're becoming wiser.
SPEAKER_00Something like that. Um, but tell me, tell me about you. What did you do? Where did you go? How many parties did you end up at this time?
Bar Hopping And Shot Shenanigans
SPEAKER_01Okay, so let's start with um pre-Halloween, there was a warehouse Wednesday event, and that actually was super, super fun. There were a little bit of costumes, and um, they had like um, you know, it's it's it's a monthly event, but since the first one was right before it, and then they wanted to do like uh a Halloween version because I mean what's going on on Wednesday, you know what I mean? Yeah so it was really, really cute. The music was great. Um, they had some really good DJs there. Um, and of course, uh my friend um uh DJ Vitamin A was obviously there playing as well. Um, but you know, cute little costumes. I I wore little bat ears and um um um like a black teeth. So it was very, very simple, you know what I mean? Okay, cute, cute. So that was really fun, and then um fast forward to Friday, right? That's Halloween night. Yes. Um I didn't do anything Thursday. People were like, uh, blah blah blah. And I'm like, no, it's tomorrow. Like I'm saving my energy, and I was just out on Wednesday, so I'm not doing Thursdays or Thursdays, but I heard that that was wild too. Um so here comes Friday. So I am I dress up for work and I was a Victorian vampire, and so it was really, really cute. I got my stuff off of Amazon and like pieced it all together, so I had lots of comments, right? So, and it had like the frilly neck stuff and like just very like Oh, I love that interview with the vampire, like with Tom Cruise.
SPEAKER_00Oh, young Tom Cruise.
SPEAKER_01Yes, so it was very, very filmer also, maybe no, I think it was the other really hot one.
SPEAKER_00Now I'm thinking about it. No, that was not Brad Pitt. I think so. No, it wasn't. Let me see. It was we're about to find out. It was okay. You know, maybe you were right. Maybe not right. I knew it.
AJ’s Warehouse Night And Friday Plans
SPEAKER_01Carry on. I know, I know, I know my vampires, and I know my hot vampires. Thank you so much. Um, so okay, so after okay, so I get I get home um after work, I take off the filly thing and I keep on the long jacket, and I just put on like a little leather harness. Obvi. Exactly. Exactly. We love a hardy moment.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01And I had like a top hat. So it was super, super cute. And so um we came to the strip first and um got banded because it was kind of early and um kind of bounced around. Then I went to a house party that my friend Mitch was throwing. Um, and um, you're familiar with the real estate dolls, right? Yes. Okay, so Cassandra and Miss Jamie. So um my friends who threw the party, him and his very good friend dressed up as them. It was holding it.
SPEAKER_00Whoa, so a duo dress up as the real estate dolls. Yes, that's that's amazing.
SPEAKER_01They're their friends, so they helped them with the outfits on what to wear. They they loaned hair pieces for them. Okay.
SPEAKER_00So for for AJ, for those of the for the listener who doesn't know who the real estate dolls are, explain.
House Party, The Strip, And DJs
SPEAKER_01So the real estate dolls are the first and only uh trans duo um uh real estate um individuals, and they're based out of here in San Antonio. So their TikTok became like viral, and several they do several like um um TikToks, and they've been through that invited to several different cities for like pride or this or that, or just to go do one of their videos where they're this is their thing, where they do this with their hands, and it's like, and this is so it's just very uh fabulous and funny. And these are tall women, so they and then they wear their heels, so they are very, very um dramatic and done up, and and and mind you, just trans trailblazers, also PS by the way. So there's no other form of um better, what's the word I'm looking for, like compliments or whatever, other than like uh the sincerest form of flattery is um imitation. Imitation. So when um the girls were approached by um my friends to to dress up as Em for Halloween, they were like, yes, bitch, do it and let me help you. No, not that top. This is what we would wear, and da da da. So it was super, super cute and funny that they did that. So um the after we were there for some pre-drinks, we um all hopped into some Ubers and came back to the strip. So by this point, I'd say it's around like 10, 10:30, right? So so it's already bumping a little bit. Um, we go see the fabulous Christy Waters at Let's Be Honest. And um, this was like her return to like um um uh performing and everything, right? So so that was really fun, bounced around a bit, and um it was, I mean, you you remember the strip. It just gets wild and crazy, and they have spot parties, yes, insane. So lines are already building, but since we were already like pre-banded, like we were just like passing those lines and getting in. Well, my dear friends Roger and Isaac with Sundown Social were having their first um non-Sunday event. They were asked by River North Ice House to do their Halloween event. So I was like, of course I'm gonna go. So DJs exactly because I'm friends with a DJ. Oh, thank you. Um, so I went in and and saw them, and I was there for about an hour, hour and a half. I left my friends, they did not want to leave, and I was like, Well, fuck you guys, I'm going. And the streets pulled it all together, and we're all in costume, and there was a great crowd, and like the booze was flowing, the music was like pumping, like or bumping. It was just so fucking fun. So I stayed there and I was like, I don't like I wish my friends would have like ex like left the gay bars and came with me, but I bounced around with them for a little bit, and that was really cool. And then I was like, Okay, it's 12 30. I have to go back to the gay bars. So I go back. The lines were insane, the lines were way too fucking strong. I of course even with a band, I couldn't like cut well. Like it was just it was too much. I was over it. I had a very good buzz. So I'm texting my friends inside and they're like, no, come to heat. And I'm like, fuck heat, fuck the strip. Like, I was just like super pissed over it. Right. I can't get back in. Fuck y'all. So I came back home. Um, uh, my friend who was still out was like, fine, fine, fine. I'll come and join you because we still had drinks over here at my place where he was staying. So we meet up and then we just like stay hanging out and like chit-chatting and talking about the evening. Um, but yeah, it wasn't like a crazy late Halloween. Nonetheless, had a blast. It was really, really cool. Um, the next day um is obviously Dia de los Muertos. So um Christy was like, Um, are you doing anything? Whatever, whatever. I kind of like stayed in all fucking day. I don't, I want to say I didn't do anything, but Sunday comes around. It's still Dia de los Muertos. I put on my little flower headband. Um, and I go to her drag brunch that she's having at LBH. That was super fun. Mm-hmm. It was so, and then of course, Sundown Social afterwards. That was even amazing. It was just non-stop weekend, which is why it kind of fucking feels like it was so long ago. Because it was just like event, event, event going on. But it was really, really cool. Bus, club, plane, another bus, club. Period. Period, period, period. Exactly. So that that that was it. But you know, when you're friends with the DJ, you just have to kind of support and go, right?
Lines, Frustration, And Calling It Early
SPEAKER_00Oh my goodness. Well, that sounds okay. So again, I I miss a set uh a San Antonio Halloween, like no other. I mean, it is one thing after. I think one year I went to like four different major parties at four different events, and those are the big ones, and then the smaller ones are sprinkled in here and there, and then you have the ones that are going the parties that happen on November 1st that are mixed with the Los Muertos, it's just a non-stop thing. And then what do we do? What do we say every time that we Halloween so hard? Well, at least this year, Halloween was on a Friday. But when Halloween's like on a Wednesday, we still it's like you Halloween so hard for a week that by the time Halloween rolls around, you're done, you're tired. I couldn't do it, but but I didn't, but I didn't, but but we still do it. We have to do it. Okay, well, I am glad you did, and and and let listener, you should know that he did all of this while also kicking off his first episode of the new San Antonio Hit podcast of I'm Friends with the DJ. And I am, I am, I'm awestruck by it. I'm so excited. I was so happy to to be behind the scenes on that one. Roger and Isaac, they are adorable. We love them.
SPEAKER_01We also had we had uh DJ Brian Kadir and DJ Cinnamod.
SPEAKER_00Cinnamod, yeah. They were um they were their stories they told were actually super cute, and I can't wait till you do more like isolated interviews with them because you had them on for only a few minutes each, and I was like foaming at the mouth for more. It was it was so interesting. Um, but no, you you you went out there, you are hustling, you are pushing it, you are talking, you are meeting, and it seems like it is going, it seems it I I could I literally I wake up every day now and say, I'm so happy for AJ.
SPEAKER_01Oh, thank you so much. It's it's really been um a long, it's been a long time coming with this. This this idea, like uh, you know, it it came to fruition and it couldn't be, you know, going as it couldn't be going any better. So I'm really, really happy about that. But I really did um have this idea, I'd say about three years ago, you know, when I was bouncing around with the Bear House Boys and Um, you know, talking with um, you know, our dear friend Mark Oz. Um, so it was just it's it's just going great. And PS, by the way, off pod, and we need to discuss scheduling these interviews and stuff like that. So that way, since you're Mr. Producer, thank you so much um for that pod. But it it's been it's been going great. And um I I have a I have a couple of DJs in line that I will be interviewing first, um, that I really you know owe things to or whatever, if we could say that because we're very good friends and and uh stuff, just the way I'm friends with all of them. Dia De Los Muertos Weekend Recap
SPEAKER_00I know I I am a little excited for that. But then also, AJ, I did miss something you had sent me because we had been obviously exchanging a lot of videos and clips and whatnot via Instagram that I one of the messages you sent me got buried, and it was the I didn't I didn't okay, listen, I have been so like eyeball deep. I have been knee deep in SLC. Like I cannot get enough of SLC housewives that I, even though my my my beloved, my beloved Kim sister, Kyle. Oh Kyle Richards, I I completely didn't even realize that they dropped the trailer for the uh Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And now I do remember a couple of months ago they announced that Rachel Zoe, which did you watch the the Rachel Zoe project?
SPEAKER_01Um I mean yes, when it when it did, yes, the Rachel Zoe.
SPEAKER_00When it yeah, perf, gorge, perf. Like I used to be a pretty decent fan of that. So I remember a couple of months ago they announced that Rachel Zoe would be joining the cast of Beverly Hills, and then I kind of like forgot about it because I've been so obsessed with SLC. Right. But you sent me that trailer, and I finally dug it out of my messages and I watched it jaw ground.
SPEAKER_01It's amazing. This season, I mean, listen, they were they had to for sure step it up after the nonsense from last season, and then to like go up against SLC. Like it is, they really had to bring it and do something. So I think the new girls that they're bringing in are gonna, you know, stir things up or mesh things, but that little fight squabble, and it's in the trailer, so we could talk about it between the one that we hate. What was her name?
SPEAKER_00I mean, I are we talking about Sutton? Yeah. So I can't stand her.
SPEAKER_01Sutton's insufferable and um Jennifer, what's her name? She says terrible. What no her her bestie that's friend of the show.

Okay, for some reason, I watched a clip on a morally correct Frei Resnick, you know, a few weeks ago, and I've been saying that at work a lot about any bit I don't like. Yeah, they'd be like, they'll be like, hey Jay, have you done such and such on Teams yet? And I'm like, no, because the morally corrupt so and so didn't give me access to the files yet. I love it. I love it. Anyways, so she got in a fight with Amorly Coroth Frey Resnick.
SPEAKER_01Yes, apparently there were um rumors, or not like there was just like things being said that while they were filming, all that was heard was glass crashing and something along the lines of Jennifer Tilly's voice saying, You don't know who you're fucking with, Faye. So I love me some Tilly. So back to the trailer.

SPEAKER_00Yes, you can have Tilly out of Kyle. But can we can we just get rid of Sutton? And I think it's gonna happen. I think it is because they're obviously with Rachel coming on, yeah. It's gonna be too blonde Caucasian heavy, so they're gonna have to get rid of one of them. Right. Uh Kyle's not gonna go anywhere. She's still she still has her flowers for now. Hey, what was that about Denise? Why was Denise in this trailer?
SPEAKER_01So, I mean, because I think they're they're bringing her as a back as a friend of the show, but she was having a conversation with Erica Gardi, actually, which is kind of crazy because they had beef at that dinner at the weedy.

Beverly Hills Trailer And Cast Takes
SPEAKER_01And she and he showed it, and she said something along the lines of I will um I will not return to Beverly Hills unless you get rid of Kyle. And the fact that Andy showed that and shared that he wanted to Kyle to know she better get it together and bring it, or she could lose her diamond.
SPEAKER_00You know, and that might be why she's finally leaning into this whole bit bisexual thing because she kept staring away from it for so long, and now she was like, Well, I could go for Brad or Angelina, what is it? Brad or Angelina, yeah, something like that. So, oh my goodness. Well, I I'm here for it. I just I can't wait. I do need to find it. Have you been have you been following uh SLC? Oh, absolutely. I'm oh my god. First of all, I'm loving the crossover between SLC and Bellowdeck. So that's that's super adorable, super cute. I I love it. I still don't understand why Brittany is there. I saw somebody, somebody had a TikTok or a t or I saw a reel or whatever that was like, why is Britney here? The show keeps calling her a friend of, but like, whose friend is she? And I kept thinking about who brought her onto the show, and it was Lisa Barlow.

SPEAKER_01No, I'm pretty sure it was Lisa. No, it was um the it was one of the blondes. No, uh yeah, I believe it was the thicker of the two. Um Heather? I think it was Heather. No way, I think it was Heather.
SPEAKER_00I don't believe so.
SPEAKER_01It was either Heather or Whitney. So I she's she's trying to she's fucking the like with the wrong people and doing like she's trying too much. It's desperate for attention. I don't like it with her puffy eyes and her terrible like work that she's had done, or maybe she's just always calling it.

SPEAKER_01She's just trash. She needs to go.
SPEAKER_00No, I I can't stand her. Um, I uh she she definitely needs to go. I think they need to bring up some new, they need to bring in some new blood. You know what else I think is ready to go is yes, we love the drama. We need a drama, it's they're producing it really well, but I think it's time for Lisa. And I think they're setting it up for that.
SPEAKER_01I think so.
SPEAKER_00I think they're they're seriously setting it up for Lisa to go and also she's gonna divorcing her husband. I mean, I mean, it's it's or her husband's gonna divorcing her, I should say. And yeah, it's I'm ready. I'm I could do without her and wouldn't miss her one bit at all. I'd rather have Britney than Lisa.
SPEAKER_01The arguments that they've been bringing up the during this this boat trip, and Heather's all about receipts and what this and all of timelines and all of that, and for her to have that same energy that she had against Monica towards Lisa during that dinner, that was wild. But but what I really find crazy about it is how defensive Lisa got when no one said anything about anything about her. No one would do that. No one in this group would ever do that. And what do you mean? And no, no one would do that. None of us would do that. She went zero to one hundred crazy. Crazy style, like, like the guilt was eating her up inside. And I like that was just the most guiltiest way to like, and I love the commentary that Heather Gay did where she was just like, Yeah, I mean, come on, Lisa, have some better, like, you know, hide it better than that. That's so obvious. It was it's just it's too much. It's it's dumb. It's dumb.
SLC Crossovers And Cast Debates
SPEAKER_00It's trashy, it's done. It's it's declassing the show. I don't like it. And it's also getting to the point of New York cast, old New York cast, where at one point in time, when 80% of the episode is just screaming at each other, I'm tuning out. Like I'm I'm here for the drama right now and I'm obsessed with it, but I'm about to reach that that limit where it's I'm going and I'm gonna be over it. So they need to get it together. But what I did like speaking of what's her name, of Heather and Lisa, well, everybody else, Lisa, is I wanted to ask you about this, you know, and and I say this because I've been accused of some things and I'm kind of really honest with it. But when it comes to like gossip and rumors and having your trusted circle and your steeds, and you know, I'll be the first to say, like, I am a gossip. I I mean, what the fuck are we doing on this podcast, right? Like, like I I am a gossip. I mean, God forbid me if I want to raise awareness, but what I don't do is is like spread false information or create or spread false information because I think that's where rumors come into play, right? But I am a gossip. The rumors and the nastiness. Exactly. But but I am a gossip, and it and unless you tell me or or imply that it needs to stay between us, I'm like live tweeting as you're talking to me. And I I mean, I think for I mean, as a young boy, I always knew that I wanted to spread gossip. So I just want to know like how is I cannot with you. I cannot. I'm just telling you, I love it. I love it. The thing is, people tell me everything, but like I said, I'm I'm gonna be real with you. Like, I also gossip responsibly. So if if again, if if you if you say don't tell anyone, that's going to my grave. If even if you don't say it, but I pretty much based on what you're saying or it's implied, like that's going to the grave. But if you're telling me something that you've already told one or two other people, I mean, I'm going to turn around and tell my circle of friends, you know, and I'm not even going to say don't say anything. But that's kind of like what I feel is happening on these shows is people keep talking to each other and then they keep turning around and spreading this gossip, and then they're getting mad, but at the same time, they're telling everybody. That's another thing, too. That's another thing, AJ. Is when someone comes to me and they tell me something and they're like, but don't tell anyone. And then when all is said and done, and now it's public knowledge, you find out that they told every single person, and then does that don't tell anyone? It's like you you've you've told, you've told everyone. You know, why is this hold on?
SPEAKER_01Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. And now are you just mad because you weren't able to gossip about it? And they were doing the gossiping? Like, what's what are you angry about? I don't get it. Like, what is it? Thank you. How dare you, girl? I mean, let's be real then.
SPEAKER_00You know what I mean? Like, let's say, I'm like, why did you tell me to keep it to myself, but you told everybody I wanted to do that?
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_00So, okay, here's how do you handle gossip?
SPEAKER_01Okay. So, and here's my thing. And this is one thing that I'm sure you know, and you've heard me say, and everyone listening has heard me say make sure I'm not bored or something's gonna happen. If I'm bored, watch the fuck out. Something's gonna happen. Um, something will be whispered, and then I'll just be stirring my drink and sit back. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00Now, I've said it once and I'll say it again. AJ is no cook, but he can sure stir a pot.
SPEAKER_01Guilty as charged. So, so, and that's that's my thing. Listen, and I feel the same way. Like I have a ton of secrets, and um what I will do is I'm very upfront and I'm I'm I could be crass sometimes, but if someone says something to me or to a group and we're all in the group, and and that was, you know, it was brought up, whatever, and then it's the same group again. Oh, I'll bring it up just to like, you know, not stir anything, but just to like find out any new information. And I mean, I'm not gonna bring it up around someone who wasn't aware of it. So I think when it's like like a secret amongst like a group of friends or whatever, that that is like like that's the best, like that's how I like it. Like, like because I don't wanna like I want to talk about it too, but I want to talk about it like you know what I mean. I don't want to just like don't just tell me a secret just to me, and then I'm dying to like I can't say anything about it.
What Counts As Gossip Versus Rumor
SPEAKER_00Oh you know what that happened to me similarly, and I think I've talked about this person before, but in a different, in a different scenario. But there was this guy that I knew, very, you know, Captain America, gun ho, by all rights and purposes, very straight, presenting, you know, whatever. Then I find out that he is not so straight, and in fact, very, very, just very, very not straight. We'll we'll we'll just I mean, use your cross-dressing the whole thing, right? And yeah, and he had put this, he had told me and confided in me for this, and I I kept this this secret. And then whenever he was struggling mentally with this, he would call me and I would run to him because I mean this guy is struggling. You you know the statistics of things that can happen, right? And I was there. This happened for years, and then when a lot of stuff got crazy and wild and whatnot, I I I finally actually I know that he had another really, really good friend that we were also, I was also friends with. And I was like, hey guys, I gotta tell you something. And then I I I did tell them what was supposed to be a secret, and they're like, Yeah, we've known. And I got fucking pissed because I was like, You you told me this thing, and then made me carry the weight of that, thinking that I was the only one that knew, and now I had to be there for you no matter what, because it was such a big thing when you really had a whole little crew that knew. And I found out that like four of the people knew as well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this was uh the gimp, right?
SPEAKER_00Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Don't laugh with it.
SPEAKER_01We talked about this. No, we talked about this. This was like episode two about like kinks and stuff like that. So you wrote this all out to everyone. So don't don't act like crazy, like I'm letting something out. No, ma'am, don't do that too much.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay, okay. So let's I do have, I do have, I have levels of secrets, right? Okay. So these are my levels. I gotta see if I remember them. It's been a while. All right. So if I tell you secrets, just a secret, right? If I say, hey, this is volt, like that's like don't tell anybody, but I kind of know you're gonna go and tell your trusted steeds, right? I mean, this is volt to secret, but I know you're gonna go and tell the person you trust. If I say, hey, this is like supermax volt, that means, or this is super volt, you're not telling anybody. It's only staying between us. If I say this is super max volt, you're not even bringing it up to me. Only I can bring it up. So supermax is if as if you didn't know anything at all whatsoever. Supervolt is just it's only between us. And then regular volt is I know you're gonna go tell your confidants, the people that you trust.
SPEAKER_01But they're confidants, so that's good. And that's like I and that's only like a certain level. So you know that's that's great. And thank you for reminding me of that. But I don't think you've ever told me anything super max volt because, or maybe I ignored it. You're like, because I've told everybody everything you've told me. I was just like, no vault. What do you mean? I thought it was everyone had access. That that's not pod talk. I thought we could talk about it here on Toast Illusion.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. Um, but no, I just I just I just started thinking about that because I was thinking about mainly all the shit that's happening like housewives and SLC and even things at my office right now. I'm I'm in I'm in a little bit of a I don't want to say pick. I'm not in any I'm not in any real situation at all. But you know, someone came and told me something, and it wasn't implied that it was a secret, but I also knew that it was morally wrong. And so I went and ran my mouth off to the person that involved and was like, hey, you need to watch your back. And then of course it got back to this person, and now they're not talking to me, and I'm not even mad about it. I'm not mad about it at all.
SPEAKER_01But you're the morally corrupt Jay.
SPEAKER_00I am so honored to have that title. You have no idea. You would actually. So fucking delusional. I'm actually gonna change my Instagram name to that. Write meow. I love it. Yeah.
