And"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":275.04,"endTime":279.18,"body":"then on the 14th, there was a"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":275.04,"endTime":279.18,"body":"significant eruption ash rising"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":279.18,"endTime":282.84,"body":"to 10s of 1000s of feet. It"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":279.18,"endTime":282.84,"body":"registered on satellites, it was"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":282.84,"endTime":287.37,"body":"a significant eruption. And then"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":282.84,"endTime":287.37,"body":"there was enough time after that"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":287.37,"endTime":291.36,"body":"explosion settled down for"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":287.37,"endTime":291.36,"body":"satellite images to come out of"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":291.39,"endTime":294.42,"body":"the new island. So lo and"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":291.39,"endTime":294.42,"body":"behold, the island had been"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":294.42,"endTime":297.75,"body":"split into two again, the area"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":294.42,"endTime":297.75,"body":"with the crater in the middle"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":297.75,"endTime":300.99,"body":"was gone, and it was just"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":297.75,"endTime":300.99,"body":"replaced with kind of what"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":300.99,"endTime":304.47,"body":"looked like a blanket of"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":300.99,"endTime":304.47,"body":"floating gray ash on the water."},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":304.53,"endTime":308.91,"body":"So that image the images of this"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":304.53,"endTime":308.91,"body":"new island, those were taken"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":308.91,"endTime":313.83,"body":"just a few hours before the"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":308.91,"endTime":313.83,"body":"massive explosion on Saturday"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":313.83,"endTime":316.77,"body":"the 15th. So that's how we get"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":313.83,"endTime":316.77,"body":"up to the 15th. Lots of"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":316.77,"endTime":320.76,"body":"similarities between St Vincent"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":316.77,"endTime":320.76,"body":"and the major explosion on the"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":320.76,"endTime":327.18,"body":"15th. Both had massive ash"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":320.76,"endTime":327.18,"body":"clouds, so huge gray plumes that"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":327.18,"endTime":331.89,"body":"shot straight high into the air"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":327.18,"endTime":331.89,"body":"and then started to mushroom up"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":331.89,"endTime":336.66,"body":"the top. Not big explosions of"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":331.89,"endTime":336.66,"body":"red hot lava shooting into the"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":336.66,"endTime":340.8,"body":"aeronaut that I've seen. In the"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":336.66,"endTime":340.8,"body":"St. Vincent eruption, the ash"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":340.8,"endTime":346.8,"body":"plume reached, I've seen numbers"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":340.8,"endTime":346.8,"body":"like 26,000 to 32,000 feet. In"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":346.8,"endTime":351.48,"body":"the Hunga Tonga explosion or"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":346.8,"endTime":351.48,"body":"eruption pardon me, the the ash"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":351.48,"endTime":357.09,"body":"code reached 100,000 feet. So"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":351.48,"endTime":357.09,"body":"this is three times higher than"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":357.09,"endTime":361.23,"body":"commercial airplanes fly. We're"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":357.09,"endTime":361.23,"body":"actually talking into the"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":361.23,"endTime":364.59,"body":"stratosphere here. During the hunger"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":387.48,"endTime":390.36,"body":"Tanga eruption, I've read some"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":387.48,"endTime":390.36,"body":"numbers that are just"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":390.63,"endTime":395.61,"body":"unbelievable, like 200,000"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":390.63,"endTime":395.61,"body":"lightning strikes in the hour"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":395.61,"endTime":400.23,"body":"after the main Eruption 400,000"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":395.61,"endTime":400.23,"body":"lightning strikes in a seven"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":400.23,"endTime":404.4,"body":"hour period, I mean, numbers"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":400.23,"endTime":404.4,"body":"that boggle the mind, the only"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":404.4,"endTime":407.13,"body":"footage that I've seen of the"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":404.4,"endTime":407.13,"body":"lightning is actually from the"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":407.13,"endTime":410.58,"body":"day before from the eruption on"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":407.13,"endTime":410.58,"body":"the 14th. And these were like"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":410.58,"endTime":415.02,"body":"jagged bolts of lightning kind"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":410.58,"endTime":415.02,"body":"of pinkish in color, coming down"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":415.02,"endTime":418.62,"body":"from the cap of the mushroom"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":415.02,"endTime":418.62,"body":"shaped ash cloud, and then"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":418.62,"endTime":422.67,"body":"disappearing into the column of"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":418.62,"endTime":422.67,"body":"ash rising up at the center. So"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":422.67,"endTime":425.97,"body":"those are the similarities"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":422.67,"endTime":425.97,"body":"between the two eruptions. And so the"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":444.48,"endTime":449.97,"body":"world had access to images and"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":444.48,"endTime":449.97,"body":"cell phone videos of the actual"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":449.97,"endTime":455.16,"body":"eruption itself. The initial ash"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":449.97,"endTime":455.16,"body":"cloud, the chaos, the aftermath,"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":455.49,"endTime":460.2,"body":"all from the ground level. That"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":455.49,"endTime":460.2,"body":"was the visual information that"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":460.2,"endTime":463.74,"body":"kind of spread around social"},{"speaker":"JJ Hunt","startTime":460.2,"endTime":463.74,"body":"media and the news reports.
