Thought Stream #1 is an unfiltered, real-time walk through the mind of Tombo Baldwin as he practices something new: letting the thoughts flow exactly as they come.
Recorded after a long morning and a busy season of life, this episode captures what happens when you slow down just enough to notice what’s actually happening inside your head. From practicing bliss and retraining thought patterns, to everyday frustrations (pizza regrets, tech glitches, health choices), to deeper reflections on family, faith, freedom of thought, and “poison agreements,” this episode moves freely—just like the mind does.
Along the way, Tombo explores how casual conversations quietly shape our future, why belief and language matter more than we realize, and how choosing optimism doesn’t mean denying reality—it means refusing to collapse possibility. He also reflects on community, parenting, authenticity, spiritual curiosity, and the importance of becoming an asset to the people around you.
This isn’t a tightly scripted lesson. It’s a thought stream—honest, imperfect, reflective, and deeply human. If you’ve ever felt your mind racing, questioned long-held beliefs, or wanted to live with more joy, presence, and intentionality, this episode will feel like sitting in the room with a trusted friend thinking out loud.
Real talk. Real life. Real growth.
Yup. I got you.
What you agree with gains permission to operate in your life.
Well, here we go again, we are gonna try another podcast here I shouldn't say try we're gonna do it This is something new that I'm trying today because on my way home from work and yes It's only about 9 30, maybe 10 o'clock in the morning because we're wrapping up our final project I I'm not of the year of the season because my wife and I Adrian are gonna be heading down to Mexico for a couple months to do Vacation slash mission work. It's a mishmash of just a wonderful time. And so we're gonna enjoy that that's What we do for a break and we really enjoy it and last year was interrupted by a cancer journey Which I'm not gonna say Was bad it was hard and we learned a lot and it's really good But today's episode is because on my way home from work. Yes. I've been up since 5-ish 30 ish in the morning. So I've been up a while So, you know, I've already put in a fair amount of time, but my mind was just racing on the way home I had to stop and get blood work done and I went to the doctor's office and The phlebotomist. I don't even know if I said that right Phlebotomist. Yes something along those lines the lady that takes your blood, right? Draws your blood. She doesn't take it. Hopefully she's not vampire ask Couldn't get it out of my right arm. So bleeding out of my right arm does the left arm finally got it But I got a double bandage Coming out of that but on the way home. My mind is just racing about a thousand and one things So this podcast today is about a thousand and one things. So here you go. I bet The first thing I was thinking about you're like Tom. This is so random I had a really sad thought and I'm really focusing on blissful thoughts When you listen to the podcast title, I am who I am one of the things I'm focusing on in that podcast is just Getting in a state of bliss where you can just think of things that fill you just with Happiness and joy that oozes out bliss is a word I feel like And this could be the Tombo Baldwin. Yep. I got you a definition of this word, but It's overflowing and I want to be in that state that childhood state before the taint of life comes in where you just Every day is exciting you wake up and you're like what is in store today? And you're so excited and it takes so much to daunt your spirit and you're just like oh Okay. Well, I pushed the boundaries there and so I got in trouble but oh let's go try this and let's go do this and so really trying to reconnect with that feeling and When you listen to the podcast, you'll know I was talking about the cowboy that I got for a gift as a kid and just really Reconnecting with that on the way home But it's a struggle of those, you know, you're trying to have those quiet moments those introspective moments the retraining of your thought light thought life to Open up possibilities not collapse them thinking the negative or predicting outcomes. You're just kind of letting it believing the best having a Feeling of positivity thinking about the positive outcomes more than you're thinking about The negative outcomes to a point where you're not thinking about the negative outcomes and you exist in a semi if not full state of bliss, but let's Let's be real here That takes a lot of stinking work to do that. It is not Easy to do that and even now as I'm doing the podcast, I'm looking at my little GoPro camera I ordered a little cooling device for it. I'm thinking how long till it heats up and shuts off cuz just say I Don't know 25 30 minutes. I went online. I found out that's pretty typical to the point where it gets hot really hot to the touch and it goes beep beep and It's done. And so you're not done recording, but you're you're done recording so those of you that possibly will look on YouTube and watch the video of me recording in my headphones and this handsome mug here Will be like you totally getting into it and it's like it's done So we'll probably put some filler stuff in there if we do that Probably will resurrect that I think it's I think it's probably a good thing. You know, my goal is Not to become famous but just to have I want to help people and I believe I'm told what I give is Helpful and insightful. It is redneck wisdom. It is the definition of hard-earned Wisdom through experience trial and error. I'm not Afraid to fail those of you that listen to the early podcast Episodes and probably for a quite a while you're like, yeah, maybe you should have been a little afraid but that has earned me that character trait that perseverance that determination to try something new to do something new has Created a lot of wisdom and it's hard-earned. It's practical if you are new listener to this I do I have six children. They're all adult children now Get along with them all great. They're doing well. They're not doing stupid shit. They're good kids They're they were great teenagers. They were fun kids. They're still fun kids still married to the beautiful amazing model Adrian and There's been a lot of experiences along the way and my heart is To pass those along as I learn and I'm continuing to learn so yeah I'm trying to practice bliss on the way home bliss not blitz bliss bliss and Possibly again this morning. I may have had too much nicotine. I tried to cut myself off sooner and tried to have some protein so according to my wife my annunciation goes downhill when I have too much nicotine, so you be the judge and Uh, yeah, you can even leave a comment about hey Tom too much That would be funny but what's racing through my mind is I'm upset as I'm trying to have bliss I'm upset I'm thinking about the other night. I ordered pizza from like this custom pizza place Audrey's pizza oven Hey, hang on here. We're getting a phone call. Let's see who it is. It's my wife Hello Hey, I'm in my podcast studio. You're on the podcast yeah, I got you right up against the microphone, so Just so y'all know we're in the same house here so What do you what do you need right now or in a little bit All right Talk to you later Bye So we have to keep the important things to important things and Adrian is important too funny that we're in the same house and We have to use the phone to contact each other, but you can probably relate and if you're watching on YouTube, it's hilarious I'm trying to get my headphones on and it's totally not working So we were talking about pizza quite honestly one of my favorite subjects So we I ordered this and supposedly we had a credit on DoorDash But the credit was on my wife's DoorDash who doesn't have DoorDash Pass and those of you that are familiar with DoorDash Know that if restaurants are farther away if you have DoorDash Pass They will deliver to you If you don't they won't Audrey's Pizza oven you had to have DoorDash Pass. She didn't have it. She didn't want to do that so I forwarded the credit to supposedly me and Ordered it on Audrey's Pizza oven and it took it out of my PayPal account, so it didn't work anyway So we still have a credit, but we can't order pizza Well, we can but it's matrix pizza. It's like the crap pizza Pizza Hut Domino's, you know, you don't even know if it's really pizza Anyway, so we ordered Audrey's Pizza oven. We got like four pizzas amazing. So we had a ton of leftovers and amazing pizza and the next day I felt like shit I Felt so awful. And so today I'm upset. I'm just like it's good pizza And I you know, it's like I can't even have pizza now because I've been totally cleaning up my diet and I am losing weight Give a clap for Tom he's losing weight and Yeah, just bemoaning that fact and I'm gonna try some for lunch today and see but I might just have to make that decision that Surprisingly the pizza that bothers me the least is cauliflower crust pizza. So you're like time is probably gluten. You're probably right Shut the what up? So bemoaning that I'm I'm thinking about more podcasts as I'm practicing and as I'm Embracing this and and doing things in the quantum realm and doing things that help bring about a reality of substance Joy and happiness and living in that state despite of all that's going around Around me because we live in this world. So the reality is we can't just check out But you can create a peaceful reality So as I'm trying to do that and practice these things, I'm thinking about all the other things I had Conversations that I'm thinking about where people are and I'm totally gonna do a podcast on this But there are saying things and they're looking at me and they're saying things like right or you know Those are those are like points of an agreement and when I talk about poison agreements It's like the agreement they're making and let me give you an example. It's oh, yeah, my kids, you know They don't live at home anymore. Thank God and they live far enough away that they can't visit all the time you know what I mean, that's you know, that's a good thing and I'm thinking to myself I I Love when my kids come over we leave the house unlocked so they can just walk in Anytime them their spouses Can stop by they can walk in the house I'm so glad to see them and so I'm thinking about these agreements that happen all the time just casual Conversation. Oh, it's so expensive to live in Bozeman. Nobody can afford to live in Bozeman, right? No, I live in Bozeman, Montana Well, I technically live in Belgrade, Montana, but operate out of Bozeman. We shop in Bozeman. It's You know The house prices are very similar to Bozeman and I am I'm not gonna make that agreement because for one I don't believe it's true. My experience is that it's not true Can I tell you and so as we're on this subject and I'm gonna hit it deeper But You can tell the truth without making these agreements Yeah, I hear that. It's really difficult and it's expensive to live in Bozeman And I've experienced a little bit of that but you know, things are going my way is it's gonna work out We're gonna figure this out You are speaking into the future without lying. You're putting belief and you're putting faith into that. It's so amazing So I'm thinking about that wanting to pass that along to you guys and I'm definitely gonna get into it I'm thinking about Murphy's Law We're gonna talk about Murphy's Law too. I'm thinking Oh, I was this morning watching some videos because I'm a consumer of podcasts and videos I love great content and there are so much so many people out there delivering great content on a variety of subjects I'm obviously Super interested in self-improvement. I want to be the best version of myself for my wife my family and my community I want people to interact with me and leave feeling good and better I want to know that I made their life better just if it's short or if it's a long-term exposure to me that I'm not draining that I'm offering and Giving better. So I was a listing so Must have been tick-tock I do I like tick-tock I like it less than I did during Kovat during Kovat. There was so much freedom there and they're regulating too much I I like when people have free expression and they can be on their toking and smoking pot or Whatever it is and they can say whatever they want and you don't have to watch it, right? I hate the monitoring but it's still better than Facebook and Instagram and as we're talking about Instagram, hey Hit me up on Instagram Tombo Baldwin. You'll know when you get there. You'll see my handsome mug and you'll see in my Profile my yep. I got you podcast videos and little reels. I do there and hey follow me I would love that and there are links to the podcast there. Let's Make the family bigger and I love to interact there Anyway, I'm totally sidetracked So I was watching this video and this relates to my faith. Okay, it's not the church I'm a part of it's not the religion. I follow my faith is way more complex than Something that can be defined as as Christianity That's probably the closest thing But as I'm getting older and I'm moving along and even today Moving farther away from what I now call the modern Christian cult Because it is a cult people don't even actually read the Bible anymore They just go listen to a sermon that may or may not even have some of the ancient sacred texts included in it crazy Truck anyway, Tom's getting sidetracked here a little bit. You can see my eyes bugging out if you're watching the YouTube video Let's fill the camera Mmm, she's warming up a little bit. I should probably blow on it It's not very effective. Well, we'll see how long it goes We'll see how long Tom goes cuz Tom really wants to do part two of I am who I am podcast But his thoughts are so Oh All over the place I actually Sat down in front of the computer and just had to make a list of all the things I need to do before we leave for Mexico chances are we're gonna leave towards the end of the month because One of my sons Daniel and his wife and my awesome grandchild and one another on the way from them Possibly will come up towards the end of January. It's not a for sure thing But if it does it would be so awesome because they would come up and they're coming up from Mexico But then they would go down so we'd get a see them But then they would get to see their new knit their new their new niece not nephew new niece that my other son had So cute. She's adorable Anyway, they haven't seen her yet So I would love for them to come up and see her before she gets too big But if not, anyway, it all worked out so this morning on tik-tok Just was watching a number of reels and you know the thing about tik-tok there Algorithm is great. They find out what you're interested in and then they dial it in and then they do their little Algorithm thing show you a nice video show you adrenaline rushing video the prep you to be open for buying something But neither here nor there and if you know tik-tok shop, you know what I'm talking about You're just like why do I buy so much on it? It's because they are Manipulating you and it's better to know that but if you don't know that just a little research and see how they do it with their videos and how they they place different videos of different content to kind of give you highs and lows and put you in a more Susceptible place to buy something be aware knowledge is power and then you can know what's happening to you and you're less susceptible to that Anyway, I'm watching videos and one of the videos and there was actually There's probably three or four because algorithm dials in right and it's kind of nice because when you're interested in a subject it dials in It's also kind of bad because then you get kind of a group thing Group think thing because all the videos are giving you Confirmation bias. It's like oh this must be true because there's so many videos. So you got to be aware of that, right? Because you're watching you're just like oh this one and this one and this must be true but the gist of all the videos that I watched sparked something that I've thought about for a while and I'm definitely thinking about it more today and it's kind of bothersome because it is It is challenging some foundational beliefs. I have which is okay with me I actually like it because I am Someone who pursues the truth and I want the truth and I'm willing to change for the truth I'm not stuck on one idea and I'm not gonna die there. I I Want to be open to the truth and you're like, what is the truth? And that's a great question What is the truth, but we're not gonna go there today. Maybe there will be a podcast. Can anybody really answer that? I Think the truth is and when you find the truth, it's evident in how you treat others and when you treat others with dignity respect compassion and love I would tend to believe more of what you're gonna say our truths because it's manifested in your actions and I think that's the tell-tale if if you say something to me and you drive like an asshole and You're inconsiderate cut in line you're always putting yourself first Yeah, you may make a lot of money selling your stuff, but I don't think I want what you have Anyway Joe Biden moment, let's do the reset I actually that's probably the only thing I like about Joe Biden is that it just makes me laugh and it's a anyway The Video was contrasting the teachings of Paul versus the teachings of Jesus and Through the four videos. They were just kind of lining up how they don't necessarily Align and when you really look at him Jesus teaches something very different than Paul and I felt that through my years of reading the sacred texts and Yeah, it was a little disconcerting in that it is Yeah approaching some foundational beliefs I and I don't even use the word Jesus I use, you know, the What what do they call it like a transliteration of the symbols Hebrew symbols of his name Yahusha, but we can use Jesus but just how different those teachings are and so those are in my mind too and just how Paul in his teachings has shaped Christianity probably more than Jesus did and how he developed doctrines and Different things and I have to look into this more K I've thought about it, but I've never really done the deep dive into this and so Yeah, I'm thinking about that and I was like what's the impact of that it could really change a lot of foundational Things that I have it's not gonna change The foundational things about me are and you've heard him before I'm a father. I love being a father. I father my own kids I'll father anyone that comes along and that doesn't mean boss But it means doing what fathers do coming alongside Rooting for you giving you advice to help you succeed and be better better than anybody including myself My greatest goal is that my kids are so much better than me They use me as a stepping stool to get to better places and higher places. I Love people. Do I love everyone? There are moments Yeah Sometimes people do things that aren't so great and I'm learning to love them even amidst that and realize there are life Circumstances that are influencing them and yes, we do make our own decisions But sometimes life is hard and we get a little short or a little irritated. I love people. I love community. I love learning and Those are the things that really define me and It's not I'm a Christian. I go to this church. I'm a Baptist. No I'm a believer in the Creator. I'm a believer that he is a hundred percent for us He wants to see us succeed There's a lot of minutiae in between all that and a lot of argument and there have been a lot of politics a lot of Men's tendency If they're not pursuing the truth and they're not pursuing the best side of them is to control and manipulate for gain and That's true in your church If you go to a church maybe in your job in your community going after just Self-interest and We do have to take care of each of ourselves and our family But we can move beyond that and that really is what this podcast is about. It is Becoming the best you and becoming an asset for yourself Okay, that's really good and then an asset for your family and then an asset to those you interact with This redneck wisdom this yep, I got you podcast is a supportive instructive Want to help cheerlead you succeed live your best life and joy Enjoy every moment of your life. I mean I You know what it would be like candy and Christmas for me are stories of How you've learned to enjoy life how you've learned to enjoy moments how you've learned to not be stressed out How you've learned to relax how you've learned To sit down with your kids and see the beauty and joy in a moment When you've learned to look over at your spouse where you guys have been battling out in the trenches trying to provide and raise these kids and you look at each other and just say Let's just take a moment to connect That is like That is Pure adrenaline for me pure bliss so do something for me as we're wrapping it up, we're here 25 minutes and 36 seconds. I'm have a feeling I'm feeling my camera. That's not too bad. We might actually make it here It's a little cooler in this wardrobe thing But do me a favor Make a moment of bliss today, whether it's just connecting with someone And you just take a moment and you're just like I've missed you. Can we just spend a few moments catching up? Do you remember when we did this and it was so much fun? Live in that memory have a moment for me. Hey, I love you and Yeah, I got you I do I got you as we wrap it up here I Love that exit movie and the camera is still going we might make it here 26 minutes and 30 ish seconds and we made it to the end
