The Rossifari Podcast brings my love of zoos, aquariums, rescues, and rehab facilities to you! Each episode features an interview with someone who works at one of these facilities. We talk about different species, individual animals, conservation efforts, nutrition...all kinds of stuff. Today, the Safari heads to Providence, RI, to visit Roger Williams Park Zoo, but we don't actually talk to anyone on staff there! Instead, we talk to Amy Fennell, the Supervisor of Training for Natural Encounters, Inc., and the person running the bird shows that took place at RWPZ this summer! We discuss what goes into running a free-flight bird show, what goes into partnering with a zoo to present a show at their facility, and so much more! My co-host is Dani Poirier Larson who does an incredible job discussing training on a deeper level than I can, and Zoë makes an appearance as well!
