Passing the Leadership Torch, but Still Driving the Vision

Business owners don't always want to completely sunset their time in the business they grew from nothing.  If that's you, then listen to this episode.

This week on #PoisedforExit Mary Nutting, CEO of CorTalent shared with us her strategy for developing leaders in her own company, as she reduces her time in the business day to day. Her goal is to spend the majority of her time focusing on big picture vision and growth strategy, and she's accomplishing that goal remarkably well. As she says "we have to put our money where our mouth is and do what we tell our clients to do". A motto she takes very seriously and so do her employees.

In their work as professional recruiters they've also realized that development of future leaders is essential in perpetuating a company's long range goals. Replacing people is expensive and disrupts the rhythm of the company's scalability, so as Mary says" let's groom them early and consistently".  The advice she gives clients is the same advice she takes herself, making the work they do at CorTalent full of integrity and empathy for their clients.
