People Fire Themselves - with Jim Arthur
Show Notes

Please welcome our friend and guest Jim Arthur.  Jim comes to us fresh off our Grand Canyon trip, he hiked the RIM 2 RIM trail several times including the grueling 46 mile, 18 hour, RIM to RIM to RIM hike!

Jim is a leader in customer service of a southern US based corporation and he has spent years learning and cultivating leadership on the job.  He taught us first pearls of success in hiking the Grand Canyon then he shared with us his amazing perspectives on work place leadership and leadership all around.

Tonight we ponder accountability and leadership from both sides of the equation: employer and employee.  He teaches us about the pneumonic C.O.R.E.:

C - Communication
O - Own It
R - Respect
E - Educate

"People fire themselves" is not Jim's own or a novel concept, nevertheless his personal and professional reflection on this concept is a fascinating journey into fundamental human values, accountability, and co-existence.  Take a listen to this amazing speaker and see if you can find one thing you can change in your world to succeed in your role and not "get fired" from any part of your life.
