Welcome back, everyone! I can’t even believe it! This year AEP is just over a month away, and there’s lots to do! If you’ve heard me or any of the hard-working folks over at American Retirement Advisors talk about AEP before then you’ll remember us saying: “You may not have changed, but your plan may have changed on you!”. And just like years past, we’re looking at some big changes!
So what do we do to prepare for that? Well, it’s simple really. If you currently use American Retirement Advisors or The Medicare Architects as your Certified Medicare Planners, then you’ve already seen the first step! We sent out emails last month asking you to confirm and update some information with us! Simply complete the form included in that email. It keeps us up to date and allows us to prepare the most accurate comparison possible when those new plans come out, and current plan changes are released!
That’s right! There are new plans, premium changes, benefit changes, and more on the horizon for 2022! You may have noticed commercials on TV are all starting to look like medicare commercials and maybe you’re getting a little extra junk in your mailbox and emails inbox! There’s a reason for that! There’s a lot of companies out there that would very much like to have your business, that’s why the research team over here is taking a look for you!
Now, what if you’re not currently a client of ours? Well then certainly, you haven’t received our annual email asking for updated information because we don’t have anything for you to update! If you’d like us to take a look and make sure you’re on the most appropriate plan for 2022 we can absolutely help! As always, I’ll include our phone number and also my email address in the description of the episode! Just reach out and let us know you’d like to take a look at next year's plans with us.
So what happens next? Well, we’ll start to research the 2022 plans as soon as data is available to us. Once we’re familiar with plan benefits, formulary changes, and doctor networks the real fun starts! We will take a look at each individual who asked for our help’s needs and compare them to our research! Once we’re all done researching we’ll have one of two recommendations ready to give you. Either we’ll let you know there’s nothing you need to do, your plan is still good to go for 2022 and will automatically renew on January 1st. OR we’ll let you know we found something more appropriate for you for the coming plan year and help you schedule an appointment with one of our advisors! Those appointments will be available in person or online!
