Second half of trending topics!
Welcome back to another edition of the Free Agent Fans podcast. Today I'm going to air the second part to our last week we did trending topics. I split in half because we got a little long. We did four topics. I split in half. I posted two last week. I'm going to post the other two topics this week. Sound quality was a little better last week, so I had to cut out some of some of the sound on this topic. Sorry. Distracted. I was looking at something while I was trying to talk. But anyway, I had to cut out a little bit of the audio on this one. But it held together pretty nicely. The second topic ran pretty good as I continue to get better with this whole audio thing. I I know where our problems come in now, and I'm working on getting some new mics, but so that we can get rid of all of these audio issues that we're having or that we were having. But check this one out. It's the continuation of our training topics. Next week, I'm gonna do a little bit about myself. I'm gonna talk a little bit about my grandfather. That would be my mom's dad. I didn't really know my dad's dad all that well, if at all, but I knew my mom's dad very well. He helped her raise us when she was at work or school or whatever it was. So I'm gonna talk a little bit about that next week if you want to tune in. And I'll probably share some of my wife's vacation in New Orleans. They her and the kid went to, her and my daughter went to New Orleans without me and my son. And we saw Spider-Man. Maybe I should talk about Spider-Man. Okay, I'm I'm getting a little bit off. Ooh, Spider-Man was good. Okay, shifting gears. Next week, I'm gonna talk about Spider-Man because it was awesome. If you haven't seen Spider-Man, this new Spider-Man is out, check it out. Next week I'm gonna talk about Spider-Man. The week after that, I'm gonna talk about my grandfather pops. So you guys stay tuned. But for now, listen up to the second half of our trending topics. And she did not hire your ass. And she didn't hire me.
SPEAKER_01Well, she hired you and then fired you. No, no. She didn't.
SPEAKER_00Did you have sex with her raw or something?
SPEAKER_04That's all they do. Did you treat it wrong? I ate her ass. I treated it wrong. Did you eat her ass right? I hit it like three times and then I kicked it to the side. It was must be a good thing. And so because I kicked it to the side.
SPEAKER_01What? What you hit raw with?
SPEAKER_00Nigga with my tongue, nigga. What the fuck? So I hear women raw. No, I don't.
SPEAKER_02Go ahead. Finish the story. I don't think anybody in the world would decide.
SPEAKER_03Every time I do it with my wife, with my wife, I need to thank you, Michael.
SPEAKER_04And I unfortunately I did it wrong. And I went on an interview. I didn't know who she was until she reminded me. And then what happened? And I didn't get the job.
SPEAKER_01What job was this?
SPEAKER_03It was a bright capital.
SPEAKER_04White castle. Oh, yeah. I couldn't make like 1050 an hour. Yeah, it was it was uh it was white capital. Yeah, it was white capsule. So feel bad about it. You know what I'm saying? But it but Cormac is a motherfucker. You never know. You have to be careful how you treat people because you never know how it comes back around. And you can get hired at white castle. I couldn't get hired at white castle. You still can't get hired at white castle. Yeah, I'm I'm still blacklisted.
SPEAKER_01He can't even buy white castles. I think she running people around. We're racist now.
SPEAKER_00You got to pay people to white castles. That's why you can't you can't white cast.
SPEAKER_03Oh, don't judge Jesus. Don't judge me. That's terrible. Can't black people be racist? Can black may be coming up?
SPEAKER_00Oh, can black people be racist. Don't answer it now.
SPEAKER_03That's a good question. We answer it later. That's cool.
SPEAKER_04No, I am the no spectrum. So let me translate to a situation that happened in Minnesota, Memphis, Tennessee, man. So a mother, she shot and killed a man that she found underneath topics. Right. That she found underneath her daughter's bed. All right, all right. All right. So when the police arrived, they found a man in the front yard with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. We talked about it. All right. So he was pronounced dead on the scene. And according to the story, she found a man underneath her daughter's bed and she said, I did what I had to do. The police later learned that her child invited the man to her house. The daughter told the police that her mother said that if she ever brought a boy into her house, she was going to put a hole in his ass. The mother has been charged with first-degree murder and charged with employing a firearm as a felon. Now, you know, I know everybody at the table don't have daughters, but I know JB got a daughter. I know uh Slim got a daughter. I know Griff got a daughter. I know my boy over here, Boss G got a daughter.
SPEAKER_01Everybody got daughters. You got daughters too. I do.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so everybody got a daughter. Everybody got what the fuck? His daughters, he forgot about you. He comes home, and underneath the motherfucking bed is a nigga. Do you instantly put this nigga out? Or do you serve this nigga right then and there? And I have to talk to y'all because y'all fathers, man. So what would y'all do?
SPEAKER_01Maybe you will what you would want to do is that's the first thing.
SPEAKER_04But in that moment, though, listen, I know y'all thinking wrestling right now, but in this moment, it's the nigga underneath the bed in your daughter's room. I don't understand. Where's my daughter?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what's the daughter at that?
SPEAKER_04We're gonna say how potentially she's at the house. They was having hot steaks. She's prepared to get his man some pussy. But you got home. Did she give it to you? That's what I said. She's prepared.
SPEAKER_03So they didn't have sex. We're gonna say they didn't have sex.
SPEAKER_04They were getting ready to.
SPEAKER_03But do we know that they didn't or not?
SPEAKER_04That's what I'm saying. I'm I'm just giving you a scenario. Do they use protection? Let me know.
SPEAKER_03We don't know. That weighs a whole lot. Like, like if they fully clothed and I come in, you know what I'm saying? That's gonna alter my reaction. Right. But if I come in and my daughter ass naked and this nigga on the bed ass naked, I'm gonna react differently.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But if they fully clothed, I'm like, I told her a little trifling ass, but I he hadn't got her yet. But if I keep fucking trusting her at home alone, he's gonna eventually get it. Yeah. So now I gotta adjust differently. But I'm gonna get this dude up like, man, get your ass out of my house. Don't you ever come here again, or I'm gonna cut some holes in you. That's right. He probably ain't gonna listen. So now I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to wrestle with my daughter in the back end. Yeah, I'm gonna have to take a little trifling.
SPEAKER_04Because if she invited him in the house, I feel like she didn't did it before. It ain't the first time. If you did it once, you do it twice. Okay, it ain't the first time.
SPEAKER_00You say how old he was? 20 and 13.
SPEAKER_0120 and 13.
SPEAKER_00He's 21. Yeah, he was 20. He's 21 years old. He's mental. So let's put it another level. He's 21 and he's had he has mental health. He's he's slow. Oh shit. He is he's mentally challenged. Is the daughter slow too? No, the daughter's not slow, but he's 21 and he's mentally challenged. She's praying on children.
SPEAKER_02Damn.
SPEAKER_00So technically minor minor could not be predatory. Why can't that US U.S. law? That has to don't matter from state to state. A minor cannot, and she's preying on a disadvantaged class. Minor could not be predator.
SPEAKER_03But if the male, the adult mindset is the same as that, then right. So she for all we know, he was a man of a tenure. She was sharper than he is.
SPEAKER_00But does the mother know that in the moment? In the moment all she sees is a 21-year-old man and his physical. That's all mentally ain't got time to involve his mentality.
SPEAKER_01Right. But this is the thing. Well, what count as crimes of passion versus premeditation is you see something, you have time to go get a weapon. So that's how they get your ass. You had time to go get a weapon, which means you had time to think about going there. Going there and what may happen.
SPEAKER_03Low was dead on the front. Yoke. That's the thing.
SPEAKER_01That means you trying to leave some of the ports. You trying to leave. Huh? Is she supposed to have a conversation with this? No, I'm just saying, dude. Put your stuff in the middle. My daughter bad, though. I had to put myself in my shoes, but guess what? But if that worth it, she's going to jail and get it. You don't know in the moment, though.
SPEAKER_03It's in the moment, though. I know. I know what you're saying, though. In that moment, but if people would just stop and think, you know, imagine somebody's gonna fuck your daughter. It's your daughter, bro. But somebody's gonna get that in.
SPEAKER_02Somebody's gonna get it eventually. I'm not saying somebody's gonna fuck your daughter, but fuck it in your house, though.
SPEAKER_00That's what's the thing.
SPEAKER_03What about all the times that you don't know about though? I guess it worked that dude's life. That's what's gonna be my daughter Kid anxious. That's what the fuck is what's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_01The thing is this it worth that lot. If you go ahead and you do something irrational, now you you're now your daughter is free reign because there's gonna be nobody there to nobody keep heroes. You might kill this dude, but guess what? It's gonna be somebody else. Yeah, you going to and guess what? You are you locked up in jail, someone fucking the whole somebody else is gonna steal. And then you can do about it because now your life is over, and the person you took life is over. But in this moment, I ain't thinking like this. That's the problem, dude. If you yes, you had time to think, if you had time to go get a gun. Hold on, how do you know nigga?
SPEAKER_04I ain't carrying a gun with me in the house. I don't know. I could be just getting back from dinner or something. This nigga need to be what?
SPEAKER_03I'll say this too. That reaction, a lot of that reaction plays on, for me, it plays on two things. Where you at in life and what you have to lose. Exactly. Because you're talking me now, with if where I'm at in my life now, I got a lot to lose. So I'ma think, you know, I'm gonna be angry at first. My rage is gonna kick in, I'm gonna be like shit. But then I'm gonna think, all right, I got this little motherfucker, I'm going to jail, I'm gonna catch all the shit I have. I'm somebody gonna be in that book. I ain't trying to do none of that.
SPEAKER_04I'm not that I need to think about this before you respond. Gabby's 17 years old. You and she come home from a date.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, underneath the bed. Yeah. Matter of fact, like where I'm gonna see your bathroom with a towel on because he done washed up. And then he got a whole bird. Well, at least he cleaned it. He got a bird bigger than yours. His bird is bigger than yours, and he used your soap stupid. Hey, look, and your two first time he did that, it's right.
SPEAKER_03First time he got caught. But where I'm at now, at this stage my life, 20-year-old Mike. Oh, yeah, it's 55-year-old Mike. I'm doing time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but me now, a 53-year-old Mike, I ain't doing that shit. Let me tell you something. You might want to do something. I bet you're gonna put hands up.
SPEAKER_00That's different because it's you're putting up with as a man. I'm putting hands on him, yeah, but as a woman, she can't put hands on a man, right? So she got is the shoe because she can't put hands on the back in the back, shoe hit him in the back like he's as a man. We know we're putting hands on him, huh?
SPEAKER_04At our age, you really think you're gonna put hands in there? Yeah, yeah, so I gotta put hands on it.
SPEAKER_02So now I'm yoking. I'm yoking the 20-year-old man at this age. Your daughter's gonna watch the dude she just put beat your ass.
SPEAKER_03So you just beat the dead. I'm just being 100 with y'all. I know my nephew, my nephew, shout out to my nephew. What's up, Glenchas? That dude had hands, and you would have beat the shit out of all niggas.
SPEAKER_04And your nephew would have stuck, he'd have been a dead, and he would have set you up and made you.
SPEAKER_03He'd have been a dead nigga, nigga. He'd have been a dead nigga.
SPEAKER_02Now watch it. You got switch to you.
SPEAKER_00So I'm gonna ask y'all a question. And as men, as men of a certain age, do you think a 20-year-old could ever beat you in hand-to-hand combat? It depends.
SPEAKER_02If he serves, remember the question since he means a 20-year-old boxer, he would have to be ripped.
SPEAKER_00And I'm talking about rats. I don't give a fuck about no boxing.
SPEAKER_03I'm talking about to be ripped. Because a lot of these little cats out here nowadays, they don't know how to do nothing but shoot. So you know what I'm saying? I'm at an age where I'm not willing to take that chance. Yeah, is this one of them little dudes that I can't fight? Yeah, but I'm justifying it. Is this one of them motherfuckers that's gonna drag me in front of my whole fucking fam? And there's nothing to take that.
SPEAKER_01If you if you do if you do kill him, then you probably go to jail, depending on how you shoot him. Then if you beat his ass real bad, okay, wait a minute. Then you beat then you beat his ass real bad. What makes you think he might not come back to retirement?
SPEAKER_00There'll be no ass. He got to die. It's hard, man.
SPEAKER_04He in my house, he literally got to die.
SPEAKER_00What do you think of the story?
SPEAKER_02You don't give a fuck? I'm killing gang gang. You hear me? Gang gang. Gang gang.
SPEAKER_00You jeopardizing your family. I think I got about a good 20 minutes of tussle. Here me 20 minutes. 20 minutes. I got 20.
SPEAKER_02Call it five.
SPEAKER_01I got 10. I think you got about the 40 minutes. No, man. Okay, you I give you a minute now.
SPEAKER_02Got ten. You got 10 minutes. I got 10.
SPEAKER_04We got my two teenagers, man, in East St. Louis. All right, all right. We got a we got a boy and a female, man. You know what I'm saying? And she feels that her family is keeping her from a boyfriend. So these two little motherfuckers go on a killer street. Her family. Of her family. So the girlfriend told her boyfriend that, hey, you know what I'm saying? My people, I'm just speculating. My people is keeping us from getting together. So let's take the ass out. Alright? So hold on, we're gonna get to talk. So so the situation happened. I do believe July the 5th through the 7th, they had their first killer. They killed a mom 49 years old. On July 11th through the 12th, they killed a 24-year-old Devin, and then they killed Patricia, a 74-year-old grandmother. They also dismembered the grandmother's finger from her hand. On the same day, around July the 12th, they killed another 25-year-old Janai, and then they killed a 21-year-old Queen. Also, in the same day, they had two attempted murders and a car jacket. I'm telling you, man, when I heard this club and glide. You hear me? When I heard this story, man, first of all, first thing came to my mind, I'm like, damn, they teenagers. And y'all know how these teenagers to me is they they just I can't say that they was raised wrong. I don't know. But it for you to kill your mama, your family, dog, you you wiped your whole, and then you talked your boyfriend into doing and he was down. And y'all took the lives of five people. Yeah, the two of them was his her brother and sister. Right. You took the lives of five people. Okay? Possibly would have been seven, but the other two lived in the quadjacket. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I just don't understand, dog. Big mama and mama, I don't know how her life was, but for you to take your mama's life and your granny's life, let alone your siblings, and then you want to be with your boo. And I I I I remember boss was saying something about the little comment she made about blood or uh you like the taste of blood.
SPEAKER_01I like the taste of blood. Because they was the initial thing, they were supposed to stab them as well. They was they was on some coke shit.
SPEAKER_05That that was uh whatever drugs. I don't like it. Usually, you know, that's something that probably drugs get you thinking like that.
SPEAKER_04You know, when you talk about I mean, dog, you know how you know how far you gotta be to kill mom, man. It's my thing, though. You're not even in your mind. You know, my mama had pissed me out plenty of time, and we but I ain't never said to myself that I'm gonna kill my mama. You got crack babies out here for their mama.
SPEAKER_03You hear me? So I'm like, where is these teenagers' mind at? Did you want to take your family out, no? And and damn near your whole family. Take out the whole family. She tried that, and I'm like, man, has life got that fucking hard? That's disturbed, man. I think they should be tried as adults. I do.
SPEAKER_04The 16-year-old boy, he's gonna be adult, but they're trying to do the female as an adult, and I hope that they do.
SPEAKER_03It's Illinois, so they won't get the death penalty. They'll just get life.
SPEAKER_04See, that's that's one of the things I hate, man. I ain't gonna lie to y'all, man. I believe in the eye-to-eye, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01This country, yeah. And speaking of that, man, the father said that he was on the hit list. Yeah, yeah. And and that I I thought I also read somewhere where he mentioned that he knew it was probably was a matter of time that something like this may have happened. Yeah. Because of Dr.
SPEAKER_03She put the hit list on uh, what was the Instagram?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she put Instagram. So this is the things that made me think. My question is this there's some This little young girl did not just wake up being a homicidal maniac. You I don't think she just won one day and said, Let me just start doing this. Right. There would possibly, if we do probably know more about the story, the family, the background, sometimes there are signs that sometimes we overlook or we don't pay attention to with people before shit really pops off that we choose not to act on because we want we in denial or we just don't want to deal with the shit. Because sometimes, man, people show some signs. She the family try to keep them apart. So right then and there, yeah, I'm pretty sure the young girl showed her disapproval of it. And it got more aggressive the longer they try to keep them apart. So somewhere along the lines, man, people we got to pay attention to these signs. As a first responder, we are taught signs and symptoms. When we walk up, first impression, things that we can look and see. That can give you an idea of what's possibly going on, man. I'm not saying that it could have prevented this, but sometime, man, if we pay attention to these signs and act, maybe those people could live. Or maybe not all of them could have got, could have died. You feel what I'm saying? Something possibly could have happened, but sometime, man, we just ignore simple signs. We ignore the elephant in the room until something bad happened. Do you feel that the father ignored it? I don't know. Like we know more than. I know he said, you know, he said what he said, but I'm just saying, was it one? We don't, like I said, maybe sometimes, man, in in in certain groups and cultures, you know, especially in black, especially in our age group, if you like a non-millennial, but generated with Generation X, right? And the older general, the baby boomers growing up, we wasn't taught about mental health and yeah, or about if people had conditions or things like that. They were just considered bad. Right. Badass keys. Badass keys. Man, that's always been ADHD. It's always been kids who had was on the spectrum. It was never called that growing up for us. Griff was on the spectrum. Yeah, I mean I know he was. Yeah. So I'm just saying is that and he still is. Yeah. But but he did you're doing well for yourself. Yeah, you are. Okay. But the point is, moment. But I'm just playing bad. Oh, I'm saying, man, we all had things. And back then, there was no treatment plans. Right. The treatment plans, your ass got suspended, yeah. Or you got your ass beat, ass beat, nigga. And then you've been home.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, man. Oh, I remember the whoopers as a kid. I don't know if y'all remember school whoopers, nigga. Damn. It was man, it was either. Did you get one? Splammy. Shout out to Google. My music teacher. You never got school whooping. You was too young. You must stop.
SPEAKER_05I was a good kid. With that whole club. Damn. Everybody lined up. Yep. Damn like scholarly having with the kids.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, man. Yeah. I'll just say, man, so it's just really sad that that this uh this young people man decided to go on a killing spree like that and then and they got off on the stuff.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no.
SPEAKER_01And then the young girl said, the girl took young girl sent the message to the young boy saying, I'm about to lose my whole family over you. Damn. Yeah, just ridiculous.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So yeah, it's crazy. So three, you know what. So you talk about the taste of blood. It's probably an iron efficiency. I don't I I have I have no because it's iron deficiency, man. Right, right, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, because I I've tasted blood before and it tastes like it tastes like metal. Anyway, um, I don't even know what to say. I'm I think they all the way wrong.
SPEAKER_04I think so too. I mean, you you look at the situation, man. I don't ever know what mindset. I often wonder sometimes when people take somebody like that you're not defending your family, you're just like focused on this is what it do. Like you said, they planned this, they plotted this, they put it all together, and they made it happen. You know what I'm saying? It would have been a seven-body count, but it was just a five.
SPEAKER_01They ran out of bullets. Yeah, and you know what, and the family, the young man stole the gun, I think, for his mother's gun. I mean, you know what? But one thing I can say about the family of that, you know, normally people get guns, you don't know where they get it from, and it was laying around, but apparently this gun was locked up. Yeah, he stole the key. Man, and so I hope and I'm glad that the mother's not gonna be charged or you know, saying that she's negligent because she let this son use the gun. Like sometimes you see guns on the table and kids go get them. Right. But you know, and I can just imagine, man, it's just it's just a tragedy, man. I just think we need to focus more on mental health, man, and get people help because it's not, man, more about people gonna die.
SPEAKER_04I'm like you, man. She had to uh show the sign, man. And uh I wanted to say to everybody, man, thank y'all for listening to the podcast and uh as we talk about our trending topics.
