Don't downplay your one. Small beginnings can have great benefits.
It’s time to level up and become the best version of yourself
You know, I once made one of the biggest snowmen ever. I'm talking about a big snowman. But how did it start? It started with just one tiny little snowball and an idea. Well, let me tell you the second story. The second story is I once went months without a sale. Nothing. I'm talking about posting, posting, you know, uh doing the marketing, doing the TikTok thing. Nothing. Just about to give up, and then this guy calls me and says, Coach, how much for your coaching program? So I started asking him about his business and what he wanted to accomplish. And he said, I want it to be you, man. I want to be you. I want everything that you do. I want it. I said, Well, you know, I'm a coach and I'm a speaker and I'm an author of several books. And he said, Yeah, I know, man. I want all that, man. I said, Well, you got to start somewhere. He said, No, I want it all. He said, How much for every program that you teach? And I was like, uh, I don't know. There's 3,000 for this, 2,000 for that, so and so. Anyway, so I just threw out a number out there and I said,$18,000. And he says, Done, man. He said, I'll have to put it on a couple of different credit cards. And I thought it was a joke. And it wasn't a joke. It's one of my biggest sales ever, almost$20,000 at one time. Now, what did it teach me? It taught me about the power of one. One sale could change your whole life forever. One client, man, I'm telling you, one prospect, one lead, one bill that's paid at the last minute. You know what I'm talking about. Like at the last minute, you pay, you think, oh my gosh, my credit is gonna crash, they're gonna take away my credit cards, and that one sale or that one payment, man, changes everything. I've been in situations where I've almost lost my car. Well, I've been in situations where I've lost my cars a couple of times, but I've been in situations where I've almost lost my car, and man, I made that one payment at the last minute. Do you understand what I'm trying to say to you? It's the power of one. You don't need 500 friends. You need one great friend. You don't need 500 little customers. You need one great customer. You know, the other day there was a client who bought a pretty big package from me, and she got a great coaching program. And I didn't know she was gonna do this, but she kept sending me referrals one after the other. And that one client ended up helping me get several other clients, big clients, high-ticket clients. And you know it's crazy, man. It's always that one person, that one customer, that one lead where I'm thinking, oh God, I can't answer another phone call. I can't do another DM. Nope, can't do it, man. Not gonna do it. That's it. I'm done for the day. And it'd be that one person that says, you know what? I've been waiting on you to call me. I've been waiting on you to call me. So listen, my friend, don't underestimate the power of one. You might be thinking, oh my gosh, I got one view on my TikTok. You know, the other day I got one view. I was shocked, actually. I thought something was wrong with my computer. I got one, one like, one view on my TikTok. I mean, I worked on that thing forever. One, not 30, not 50, not 100, not 500, one. I'm like, are you serious? But I had to remember my own lesson. I've been in situations where I posted one post. One, not get a single like, and all of a sudden that one person reaches out on a DM and says, Coach CJ, you know, I've been knowing you for years. Man, I'm telling you, you you're gonna change my life, and I think I'm ready to talk with you. And I'm like, let's go. And you see, had I not understood the power of one, I would have given up. You see, your book could change one life. I've done that before. Where a person calls me up or contacts me and says, Coach CJ, you have no idea. You saved my marriage, man. Your book saved my life. I was really contemplating suicide. I was really contemplating in it at all, and your book or your course changed my life. You see, we don't understand the power of one. One dollar in business is so powerful. A dollar, what the heck is a dollar going to do? What a dollar does, a single dollar, if somebody purchases something from you for a dollar, let's say an e-book or whatever, it says that some one person finds it interesting. And they find it interesting enough to give you money. That means all you got to do is find a thousand people just like them. That person was like a it's so powerful, man. It's like it's an indication that you're doing something right. And then all you have to do is duplicate what you did right. Have you ever sold a t-shirt online or an affiliate program? And you thought, well, I only sold three. Three? That was powerful, man. That means there were three people out there that you want to reach out to 3,000 more, just like them. Three people out there that loved your program, your product, your service. I've seen people in network marketing and they say, Man, network marketing doesn't work. I've only enrolled two or three people. What? That was two or three. They are a sign. They are a sign that says, hey, find a thousand more people just like us. They are your hungry target audience. They're telling you everything through that one sale or that one enrollment or that one program or that one coaching client. That one person tells you everything you need to know about becoming successful. Listen, if you find that one good customer, always ask yourself, how did I find them? What did I do to get to attract them? Okay? And how can I attract a million more just like them? Just start researching it and analyzing what made them buy. Ask them that. Ask them what they do for a hobby. Ask them why. Why now? And one of these days you're gonna get it and you're gonna figure it out. Oh my gosh. So you're saying, Coach CJ, all I gotta do is just find a million more, just like them. Yeah, because there's probably a hundred million people just like that one. My friend, stop downplaying your one, stop downplaying your little small beginnings, and have a great and wonderful day.
