Giving is a major aspect of our liberty in Christ. However, most believers don't experience it because they are entangled by the consciousness of their needs which leads them to hold onto finances, in an attempt to "secure tomorrow". Money CANNOT guarantee a future. Those who try to have money simply for the sake of having it, end up not enjoying it because they are consumed by the fear of not having. Christ has given us His life and in Him, liberty has become our true nature. Our lives are no longer limited to what we have, what we can do or what we can obtain.
As you move away from a life focused on self, you learn to see things from God’s perceptive, focus on His purpose and choose to accept to give away what once controlled you.
