This episode of the Plastic Surgeon Podcast features Dr. Sajan’s patient, Alma. She tells her story of undergoing mommy makeover surgery. Born and raised in Moses Lake, Washington, she grew up in a large family where her older siblings often took on the role of her caregivers.
At 19, Alma found herself unexpectedly pregnant and was forced to drop out of diving school. With her life plans completely upended, she embraced becoming a mother and eventually went on to have more children. Unfortunately, she also ended up in a violent and abusive relationship.
After the birth of her third child, Alma began researching plastic surgeons because she was interested in addressing the changes her body went through with multiple pregnancies. She found Dr. Sajan in 2015, but waited a few years before scheduling her consultation.
Alma underwent a mommy makeover which consisted of a Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, and fat transfer to the breasts. After surgery, she was able to gain enough confidence to leave her abusive relationship.
