It’s the Mary goes blind episode! After visiting a Doc Baker-ish eye doctor who lies to her and tells her she’ll be fine, the Ingalls are shocked to discover Mary is destined for blindness after a childhood bout with scarlet fever. Charles does all of the emotional heavy lifting in this episode, Laura finds another rando, and Caroline dishes out some real tough love. Amye is super emotional re-watching this as a parent, and Jennie is strongly considering renting some ad space in the local newspaper.
