Laura heads to Sleepy Eye to help set up the blind school and runs into public enemy #1: Manly. Manly is living there and decides to take a secret second job when he discovers Laura needs extra money to meet the rent. After Manly ends up nearly contracting syphilis, falling down the stairs, and getting packed in ice, Laura decides to forgive him. We meet Popeye’s sidekick, Wimpy, who is cheeseburger adjacent, Michael Landon was definitely watching Moonlighting, and Jennie’s cup makes a horrific banging sound that Amye now refuses to edit out.
