Today we have a listener question from Jenny.  How do you become the person you want to be?

The first thing to do is to disregard the expectations and opinions of other people, then take some positive steps towards the life you want. What do you stand for? What goals do you have? Only you know what those are.

You have to be authentic and true to yourself.

Welcome back to a magical life. I'm your host magic Barclay. And today I have a listener question for you to answer. And Jenny, one of our listeners actually sent me a message and asked how do you become the person you want to be? I thought this is a very interesting question. So to become the person you want to be, you need to disregard the person people want you to be. You need to disregard other people's opinions, other people's perspectives, and you need to take some positive steps. So, first of all, you need to map out who do you want to be? What do you want to stand for? What values do you have? What goals do you have? What's the hill you're willing to die on for something. That's the person you want to be. And only, you know who that is. So a couple of quick and easy ways to find who that is, get onto all your social medias and anything that makes you feel like you need to live up to it. Anything that makes you feel bad about yourself? Anything that just doesn't sit right. Get rid of it. Now, this can even be family members on your social media. You know that you love them. You know, that you care about them. Maybe you don't, but maybe you do. But if they make you feel bad and they put their perspectives on how you should live your life all the time, get ready. If you don't want to say political posts on your feet, get rid of them. If you don't want to say Jeb, don't not jab or whatever. I know I talk about community and, you know, cohesion all the time, but if it makes you feel bad, that is not your real world. That is your social media world. Get ready. Take some of the stress out of your life, do not go and live an Instagram worthy life. If that's not how you live, don't go putting restaurants up all the time. If you just want to eat at home with your family, don't go putting, you know, jewelry and shoes and great fashion up. If you're happy in a pair of overalls during the gardening, have some continuity with who you want to be and what you put out to others, because life is not about impressing anyone else, just you, Jenny. I hope that gives you some tips on. Your lovely question. It was an interesting question and I could go on for hours about it, but this is just a quick one.
