I am back.

I'm so excited to share with you guys kind of what's been going on the last few years, where we're going with World on Fire radio and what you can expect from future episodes. So a little bit about me for those of y'all that may be new to World on Fire radio. I am a Christian mom, wife, motivational speaker in the past.

I have a history in health and wellness, business coaching, etc., which is kind of what World on Fire radio was all about. was setting your life on fire to getting up and getting out there and achieving the things that you want to achieve in your life and your day and your marriage and your business and things of that nature. So that's kind of where my history lies. I've studied health and wellness for the last 20 years of my life and kind of just took that knowledge and ran with it and offered it on a larger scale through World on Fire radio motivating people to achieve their health and wellness goals for themselves.

Super, super exciting time in my life and just kind of as things started to shift in the world, things started to shift in my view and things started to shift and I kind of got this nudging to just be quiet and be still. Living in the last few years life was kind of, or the world rather, was kind of this on fireplace but in a negative way and I just didn't find my voice in that and the things I felt I had to say would just be creating more noise if that makes sense. And if you know anything about me, I'm not one of those people who like to just talk just to talk. I don't like useless chatter. I don't like useless conversation. I like goal-oriented communications. I like product- I like productive communications. I don't kind of like to whine and nag and just complain just just to complain if that makes sense and So I found myself in a space where I felt like it was meant for me to just be quiet Because I didn't want to be another voice yelling shouting screaming. How dare you you should do this You must do that. How dare you not agree with me? You must be against me if you're not in agreement with me or if you won't affirm me and and I just didn't have a place or a voice in that fight because I didn't want to be a part of that. I didn't want to be a part of causing further divide. I didn't want to be a part of causing further turmoil. I didn't want to be a part of just the loud noise online and on social media. Look at me, listen to me, listen to me. I'm right, I'm right, I'm right. And so I kind of just went quiet.

And in that time, a lot happened. And so now I've got this new focus and this new fire and I'm like, okay, so what do I do with this? And something in the back of my mind was just like, you have a voice and this is what God has anointed you with, the power of words and speaking and there is authority that comes with that anointing. And when you have the revelation that the Holy Spirit anoints you and with the words you speak, life and death, what you say really begins to have a different meaning for you. So for me, I didn't want to be talking just to talk or just to be putting out content or just to have some presence or stage online. I wanted to really understand how to motivate and encourage in a way that breathes life in a time that was full of anger and rage and hate and disagreement and divide and all of those things.

So it took some time and I'm gonna kind of get there. It took some time to get to this place. There were some situations that happened in life that really put everything on hold. And if you're a Christian you'll understand what I'm about to say. If you're not, I'd like to encourage you to understand sometimes a still small voice is God communicating with you and letting you know you're not somewhere you should be. And that's kind of what happened to me. I tell this story and I was driving home one evening. It was just me by myself in the car. I had no radio on, no kids movies playing, no children in the background. I had nothing going on. It was just me in the car. And in that moment, I felt God telling me, to put everything down that I had going for myself at the time. I just felt the Lord speak and say, this is not what I have for you. To put it all down, which is a very confusing thing because when you're at the brink of finding the success that you've been seeking for years and then you're told to just kind of put it down, it's hard to listen to. It's really hard to listen to. But I did.

And so I put it all down and there were some revelations within my family and my home and my children's lives I won't go into detail with that because there are some future episodes that will discuss this so I don't need to discuss it now in this moment. But during that time of being quiet, God repurposed this anointing that He has gifted me with.

In the social media world or in the content creation world we talk about repurposing content. Well, God repurposed my anointing and so now I choose to use this voice for Him and leading others to Him. The goal for World on Fire moving forward is to ignite faith across the world. It is to encourage relationship with Jesus and relationship over all religion. Because what we must remember is religion is who persecuted and crucified Jesus. But relationship with Jesus is the most important piece of all of our lives. All of our lives. That relationship should be the spear for what we do in life and I want to encourage and motivate in that way. 

So while World on Fire radio started with motivating and encouraging others to achieve their life's goals, this is still in alignment with that, but it's going to encourage you to achieve those goals in accordance of God's will for your life. So that's kind of the evolution of World on Fire as it stands today and some of the things that you can be expecting moving forward, I want to share with you as well. But first I want to talk about the most downloaded episode is Are You Willing to be Wrong? And it kind of makes sense that that's the last episode of season one. And then kind of going into the season two that we're going to be launching. Are You Willing to be Wrong is really where I found being quiet gave opportunity to listen to other points of views and other sides. And that's where in society we really kind of lost doing that. We just want it to be heard. Nobody wanted to listen. Everybody just wanted to be heard. It really kind of makes sense ending that season on that episode and kicking off this new season I'm pretty excited about. It'll kind of branch off from that.

But that most downloaded episode... It's still getting downloaded today, think is really exciting. It's probably one of the most milestone moments, I guess, in the podcast. it's ironic that it ended up being the end of last season. But I do want to take this time as well to say thank you to all of you guys who have downloaded World on Fire Radio, who have reached out in the past, who have left reviews about how you felt about the show. And in fact, I want to go ahead and share some of those reviews right now.

And I'm excited to say that that really shouldn't change. What I'm motivating you in might shift just a little bit, especially if you are coming from a place of stagnation in your Christian walk, or maybe your Christian walk doesn't exist at all. Maybe you don't have one. Maybe you're confused. Maybe you're coming from a place of pain and church hurt or things of that nature. And so you've walked away from your walk with Jesus and that's okay. You're still welcome here. This is 100 % still a place for you. This is what the show will be about is motivating you to dig deeper, and to reconnect or connect in general with the all-time influencer of the entire world, and that is Jesus Christ. He was the number one influencer before influencing was ever even a thing if you really think about it.

So the spark behind the relaunch was during that time when I felt God say put all of this down. It was kind of a dark season for me because I felt I had lost a purpose. Even though as a parent, the biggest purpose you have is to disciple and pour into your children. They are your legacy. They are your kingdom work. Parenting is a ministry. But sometimes as parents in that social role, we miss out on things we felt we wanted for our lives, our own personal dreams, aspirations, things we wanted to achieve. We tend to kind of put those on the back burner to raise our families, right? Some people find a way to integrate them or to find their purpose within that or to find success outside of parenting and then some people don't. They put their lives on hold. They put their dreams on hold. They shift their focus to, again, pouring into and discipling their children.

And so for me, I felt like I had all of these dreams and what I didn't know at the time was I had this big anointing. Y'all, I didn't even really understand what anointing was a few years ago. I know people had told me, Erika, you are anointed. You are anointed. But I didn't really understand it. We'll talk about that later in the show. But I had this big passion inside of me that was on hold and y'all on hold doesn't mean forever on hold doesn't mean it's not gonna come back around on hold doesn't have to be as painful for you as it was for me but it was it was painful for me because I thought I had to give up on everything and I didn't have to give up again it was just on hold but it still was this bubbling passion inside of me and so over these last few months in conversations with my husband man I feel like the Lord has a use for me. just don't know where it should be. And y'all, I am an evangelical speaker. I've spoken at my local church. I've also spoken in other cities in Texas. And I just felt like there was a place for my voice, but I didn't know where. I'm not a pastor or anything by any means. I'm not a preacher. I didn't go to seminary school or anything like that. I'm just a flawed individual that the Lord decided to use. And in speaking with my husband, we were like, world on fire radio. And oddly enough, Luke 12:49, Jesus says, I have come to set the world on fire and how I wish it were already burning.

Now tune in to season two for a further biblical study on what that scripture means and what he was referring to because while it isn't literal, right? He didn't literally mean setting the world on fire. It is spiritual and we're going to have an episode about that. So make sure you stay tuned, subscribe to the show. That way you get notified when new episodes release. But that's what World on Fire Radio is. It is encouraging you to set your world on fire.

And in this regard, it's to live a life for Christ. So with this stage already set, I've decided to use it to relaunch and redirect and let this bubbling passion inside of me explode and hopefully let it be contagious and catch fire and there's revival across whomever might be hearing this and it motivates you in a way to get in your Bible and connect with the Word of God and let it give you life. So there's gonna be some fresh energy, some fresh perspectives. I'm gonna have some guest hosts that I'm super excited about, I can't wait to introduce you to so that's gonna be super exciting.

It's just gonna be real and raw as ever but in a way that glorifies the Lord, that gives him all the glory and in a way where he can move in the lives of anyone listening that want to learn more about this thing that I'm so dedicated to and learn more about this life for God that I'm so passionate about and just want to see others come into the fullness of what God has for their life.

So that's kind of what you could expect moving forward. The episodes are going to be a little longer in nature because it's difficult to sum up biblical study in 15-20 minutes, but hopefully...

What you'll find is that on your daily commute, in your time at the gym or on the treadmill, or in the time of doing what we consider mundane things like laundry and cooking and prepping dinner, that you can find a way to connect with God's Word in a way that is relatable to you. And then once you hop off the show, you go do your own more in-depth study so that Word can come to life for and the Lord can speak to you through that word. That's all I have for you guys today. But just a brief kind of overview is what I wanted to offer in this to let you know why World on Fire went on pause, why World on Fire is coming back today, what you can expect from that. And y'all, we're gonna have some fun with this. And I'm hoping that through this, the Lord will use this podcast to help you catch fire in your life and walk in alignment with God's will. I am excited and so optimistic for this journey ahead. I just really feel like the Lord is gonna take this opportunity to use this to just help a world heal, reunite, reconnect and reignite faith. I'm committed to delivering valuable and inspiring content for you guys. That way it serves you in some way because again my goal is not just to be another voice just to be another voice it is to serve you. It's to serve you in a way that improves your life.
