Lies Between Us - Roger Ray Bird
At the foundational floor of my core oracle is truth. I have lived to learn only by way of truth do I truly live. Sharing the learned truths of life, I attempt to help us all...all my sisters, all my brothers. My need to help arose after watching my mother try to survive as a homeless mentally incapacitated bag lady on the streets of Baltimore. I try...I try to share, I try to be authentic, and I try to help everyone without imposing assumptions, judgments, or blame upon them. I try to help those who cannot help themselves, those just like my mother. As a former junkie, high school dropout, professional athlete, and global corporate business executive, I've seen a thing or three. This is not about me, this is about us.
Lies Between Us - Roger Ray Bird
Episode #8 Showing Up For Our Brothers & Sisters with Dennis Dodson
Dennis and I reconnect after his 2,500-mile bike ride where he attended the BLM march in DC and raised money for Native causes. Dennis speaks of the multiple levels of adventure he had as well as a few ugly moments along the way. But he is home safe and sound almost three months later.
Additional topics include the simple life, mental health, homelessness, lost loves, and one of our favorite topics, addiction.
I lose my shit during one question from Dennis and you will hear tears flow. The other tearful topic got cut because of time and irrelevant content. This is Part 1 of two parts so watch for the continuation next week in Episode #9. Thank you.
