Baby Oil on the Courthouse Steps: A Diddy vs. Justice Special
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Music speaks volumes about who we are and how we feel. This episode dives headfirst into the emotional resonance of sharing songs with loved ones and what our playlists reveal about our true selves.
The crew explores that unique vulnerability of sending someone a track that perfectly captures your feelings about them. From R&B slow jams to heartbreak anthems, we unpack how these musical messages can strengthen connections or signal the end of relationships. When was the last time you sent someone a song that said "this reminds me of us"? The answers might surprise you.
Apple Music's 10-year anniversary "All-Time Faves" playlists become a window into our hosts' souls—and occasionally their parenting journeys. One host hilariously discovers Peppa Pig dominates his top tracks, while others reveal their affinity for Summer Walker, Drake, and P. Diddy classics. These musical fingerprints tell stories we sometimes don't even recognize about ourselves.
Speaking of Diddy, we break down his trial verdict where he escaped RICO charges but faces transportation charges that could bring substantial prison time. From the bizarre baby oil demonstrations outside the courthouse to celebrity reactions online, this cultural moment reveals much about fame, justice, and public perception. The conspiracy theories around what might happen before his October sentencing will have you questioning everything.
New music gets its moment too, with deep dives into Kehlani's relationship-ending anthem "Folded" (when those clothes are neatly stacked at the door, you know it's over), Cardi B's summer banger "Outside," and upcoming releases from Lizzo and Keke Palmer that have us excited.
What's been your standout moment of 2024 so far? Hit us up on social media @mixedvibespodcast and let us know which topics from this episode resonated with you most. Your musical confessions are safe with us!

Songs That Remind Us of People
Speaker 3It's boys. Wow, alright, it's church. Time, church. When's the last time you sent somebody a song and said this reminds me of you.
Speaker 2Ooh Damn. I think that last Glowrilla song. I just dropped it in the group chat Like it was familiar, so it wasn't at the party. Yeah, it was at the group. It was something the group could relate to, because you know, I don't dedicate no songs to nobody individually personally. I might make a playlist about your ass, but that's for me.
Speaker 3So you ain't never, never, sent a man a song that said this reminds me of you or this reminds me of us.
Speaker 2I'm not that kind of corny, no more. I'm not that kind of corny, no more. I haven't had that kind of love for niggas in a while, so no.
Speaker 3No, I have not, Quay. Have you ever sent somebody a song?
Speaker 1I want to say over the weekend. I just sent a song.
Speaker 3I'm jer y'all Jersey heard talking about Courtney, that shit right there.
Speaker 2Yeah, the niggas don't have that Courtney, no more, I don't have a chance to play.
Speaker 3I can't speak for Jersey, but, g Melzano, you sent them a song.
Speaker 2Niggas, don't send them to me though Niggas don't send them to me, though Niggas was sending them to me, though that nigga I was fucking with from Louisville used to send me Moneybagg. Yo joints all the time he said I think the last time he told me that that Scorpio joint, he said it reminded him of me. I was like, oh, okay, when she.
Speaker 3When she first said Moneybagg Yo, I was like Moneybag what? But then you said the Scorpio joint, it's like okay, that makes sense, that's a good song. Moneybag yo, all right. Moneybag he got some choice for me. But I don't know if he got some sense of humor. Go ahead, you said, you said the song.
Speaker 1Now do I dare say what the song was.
Speaker 3I mean because I know some songs I done, got all let me see what is the last song I sent.
Speaker 1I just sent it. I wish you love me, tanisha Kelly not on some. I wish you loved me shit, but it was just a throwback. You feel me back in the day I used to run with with some peeps, and that was they bad. Tanisha Kelly taint, you couldn't get in, they whip without hearing that shit.
Speaker 3Yeah, now you right.
Speaker 1So it came on the shuffle the other day and I was like man, you know that took me bad. Let me send this little song through real quick we love a good throwback.
Speaker 2There's no moment that doesn't warrant getting sent a throwback. To be honest, this reminds me of you shit. There's no moment that doesn't warrant getting sent a fill back. It's like I want that shit. To be honest, I'm oldest in Miami. You shit, I don't know.
Speaker 3I don't know. All right bet, so I don't want to keep a bug here. Trey, I sent Trey songs, damn, what's the name of the song it started. The song got to Hollywood. Now I got to look it up but I seen Give Me On, stuck On you. Give Me On, stuck On you. Now I got to find the Trey Songz one because I thought I had it off the top of my head. But I do not have it off the top of my head. But that thing right there, oh, holiday Me my head. But I do not have it on top of my head. But that thing Right there. Oh, how long did you need me? Took me a minute. There we go.
Speaker 3Yeah, trey sounds hot if you need me, and then Stuck On you by Gibion. Those are two not like, yeah, two of the most recent that I have seen.
Speaker 2Those are sending some mighty strong messages, sir. Those aren't subtle send-outs.
Speaker 3George, let me explain something to you. When you send out a song, it's got to be a message behind the song. You can't just be sending out a song and it have a lyric or a bar or a stanza dedicated. The whole song got to make you feel and understand the point that I'm trying to make. So that is why.
Speaker 2I feel that I understand that. Go ahead.
Speaker 3No, you got to hit them hard. I got some other ones. I can't share all this stuff.
Speaker 2There is a feature through Apple Music that if you're looking at the lyrics of the song, you tap the lyrics. You can share the song from that part of the song. So what is the specific part you wanted to get through? Apple Music's got you.
Apple Music's 10-Year Anniversary Playlists
Speaker 3I ain't got Apple Music, but speaking of Apple Music, since you all brought up Apple Music, y'all talked about how Apple Music lets y'all know y'all, you know what you say.
Speaker 2they celebrate 10 years, 15 years. Yes, Apple Music just celebrated their 10 year anniversary and doled out all time favorite playlists to their listeners. So if you go to Apple Music and it'll like click anniversary or all-time faves, it lists out 99 or 100, depending on how you want to count it of your most played songs.
Speaker 3I don't have Apple Music, but y'all two do, so let's hear some of y'all. You know we'll give y'all top 5, top 10, whatever. However far y'all want to go, go ahead, george.
Speaker 2We'll do top 5. It's not that crazy and looking at it I initially didn't think, oh, this is in the right order, but I mean I guess it is, so we'll go with number five.
Speaker 2First Number five is I Like it by Summer Walker. That's my jam. I did have that one repeat for a minute. That was from the Still Over it album. I think that was the first album. Number four is Gonna Be Heard About Us by the Carters. We love us when we honest, and that collaborative album was my shit. Number three is Love Galore by SZA. Number four is Circus, also by Summer Walker, and my number one most listened to song was Damaged by Her. So I was going through the entirety of my playlist and I sound real hurt. I listened to a lot of Drunk dealing ass music and none of it came up on this playlist. So apparently I do not listen to as much hard shit as I thought I did.
Speaker 3Okay, that is very R&B-ish.
Speaker 2Very R&B-ish. A lot of it is slow jams, Sing along, sing that high note girl ass music. So again I enjoyed it because obviously it's music I listen to, but for all time favorite. I don't think I've been through the whole playlist on Shuffle just yet, but it's been banger after banger for me.
Speaker 1What's your last song on there?
Speaker 2Go to your last song, my last song, my last song on there go to your last song, my last song, song 100 confidence by Chris Brown popping by Chris Brown confidence by Chris Brown. It was on the heartbreak oh, hi, I feel it what's up?
Speaker 3I need to hear Clegg. What's up? I Clegg, I need to hear Clegg now. What's up my boy?
Speaker 1I'm going to go with my 100 because that matters to me. I need a girl. Part two. It's different, it's different.
Speaker 2You made the list. I know what 100.
Speaker 1It's on there. Um, but how, how I knew it was in order like by most played literally my first 10, 12, 15 songs is all pepper pig. So if y'all don't know about me, my jit, fuck with some pepper pig, you me, you hit them with the hey Google play woo, woo, woo. Hey Google, don't listen to that.
Speaker 3Not trying to get the parents sliding, it's trying to flex with the parents.
Speaker 1Nah, for real.
Speaker 3I'm a parent, bro. Yeah, my first name is hey, Google, turn off.
Speaker 1I got something for you.
Speaker 3I'm a parent, I'm a parent. You know what I mean. So my song is back to shit. Come on, bro that's a flex.
Speaker 2Apple Music got something for everybody. I got a Disney playlist out. This bitch lit.
Speaker 1I'm for it nigga peppa pig until we get to, until we get down to at least 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9.
Speaker 3So, 9.
Speaker 1I had to go 9 songs before I got to my actual shit.
Speaker 3Okay, but can we get Bro's trying to get the parent off? He's trying to get the parent flex off and that's cool.
Speaker 2He got it. There's evidence, there's proof. We saw the screenshot.
Speaker 3We know you got it, bro, like well, you feel like you got flex for us, I know.
Speaker 1Marsh Madness, on here, yo Jim Okay.
Speaker 3All right Number five.
Speaker 1Number five I got Jimmy Cooks Drake 21. I got we Be Clubbin' Ice Cube. Three, we got Penguins, dolphin key glut. Two, we got ride or die by tk. So and then number one, I got for free drake, damn hey, this is a list what we talking about.
Speaker 3I ain't said a word honorable mention.
Speaker 1Not like us in the top 10 alright what else caught my eye for real? I said my 100 was I Need a Girl. Is the other one on here? I?
Speaker 3don't see the other one. Is I Need a Girl, part 2 or 1?
Speaker 1Part 2. Okay.
Speaker 3I mean Part 2 is the better of the songs. Part 2 is the better of the songs. I know we're going to get the ditty, but we can't act like the main good songs. You know we're going to get the ditty, but we can't act like the main good songs.
Speaker 2We can't act like the main. Good songs.
New Music Highlights and Reviews
Speaker 3Those. I Need a Girl joints. Them was some good songs. That should come on another time. But I need somebody that's going to ride ride. You know what I mean. It's going to ride ride. You know what I mean it's going to be my wife?
Speaker 2That's prime, I sure yes, Lord.
Speaker 3I'm going to send that hook to somebody.
Speaker 2He said I'm going to let you know girl Out of pocket.
Speaker 1Out of pocket people Listen to these vibes.
Speaker 3I'm saying, bro, alright, but since we're talking about music, we ain't done new music in a while, so I feel like we need to highlight some new music. So, craig, you got any new music? I want to be respectful.
Speaker 1The newest music I had was Carter 6, and we already talked about that.
Speaker 3Okay, cool. So, George, in new music that you wrote, is there any new music you would like to show? Kehlani?
Speaker 2You want to talk about Kehlani? That's mine.
Speaker 3That's yours.
Speaker 1Okay, all right, I'll let you talk about it.
Speaker 2Cardi B, you can have that one. Cardi B dropped that outside. Joint boy and all the girlies going to have that one memorized by next week. They're going to be running around for the July weekend screaming outside.
Speaker 3I'm not participating in it what.
Speaker 1I heard another girl drop her track too, and it's the same song, basically.
Speaker 3It might have been a reference track. I ain't heard it.
Speaker 2Yeah, it might have been a reference track, but I haven't heard it yet either, so we will listen and compare next week. On my upcoming playlist for this week, though, is Lizzo's album. She just dropped that joint my Face Hurt from Smiley. She's getting her rapper shit this summer, so we'll is Lizzo's album. She just dropped that joint my Face Hurt from Smiley. She's getting on her rapper shit this summer, so we'll take a look at that and get a review for next week. I also have Keke Palmer's album on my docket for listening this week, and I have a review for you next week too, so even out for them.
Speaker 3Okay, I'm going to listen to the Keke joint too.
Speaker 2We're going we're going too. We gone, we gone, we gone. She dropped a little teaser joint after they did the movie with SZA. It was popping, I popped it, it's on the playlist.
Speaker 3It's in rotation.
Speaker 2I ain't never had a problem with Kiki. Okay, that's my favorite celebrity cousin.
Speaker 3That's my favorite celebrity cousin. We gonna get the Kiki joint out. I'm gonna review it too. So y'all be looking out for that. Also, gibeon is gonna be dropping, so I'm definitely gonna bump the Gibeon. I'm gonna bump the Gibeon. So new music this ain't really new. But Vito fine shit, that's a go. Vito keep a shit, that's my drop. That's what we go. Vito, keep a joint. That's one thing I gotta say about that brother Vito, ever since he stopped writing so much for other people and started putting his own music out. Vito, keep a joint. Vito keep him one.
Speaker 3Trey Songz has Lonely I think that's dope. Trey comes back out. He do got this other one called Lit Again. I ain't really feeling that one, but his actually R&B, r&b songs. I'm actually fucking with the Lit Again. It's cool, but it ain't. You know what I mean. It ain't nothing to write home about. Coco Jones I know the album came out, but we ain't really talk about it. She got a couple joints on her. That on site. Yeah, yeah, it's nice. Coco got a couple joints on this album. I ain't going to stunt you. Coco Jones got a couple joints.
Speaker 3I got to put that in real team. Yeah, she got a couple joints on this album. I don't know if we talked about it Bow Wow and Chris Brown. I don't know, did we talk about using me? I don't know if we did, but they used me joint with Chris Brown on the hook. Chris Brown did, chris Brown gave Bow Wow one. I ain't gonna lie to you, brustly. I'm like all right, bro, I got something for you. Bro, streets, cold for you right now.
Speaker 2A win is a win.
Speaker 3Streets Cold for you A win is a win boy. Give me this hook.
Speaker 2I'm going to give you the hoop.
Speaker 3Chris stole Bow Wow. But look, just don't stand by the rim, You're going to be able to put the ball in the hoop.
Speaker 2That's all you got to do. You ain't got to do too much, you ain't got to do too much.
Speaker 3You ain't got to do too much, chris Brown, on that hook.
Speaker 2Oh my God, that's going to do it every time. That boy won't be down.
Speaker 3It's going to do it every time. He won't be down. All right, now, george, you can chat me at her. But we got to get to the Kalani photo Because I'm scrolling on TikTok and I keep hearing it. You know me, george, I love me some Kalani. You see, when the video was out, I tagged you in the post. You know me, I love me some clients, period, indeed, I'm like. But I keep scrolling on TikTok, I keep hearing it. I keep hearing it. I'm like yo man, what's up? What's this? You know what I'm saying? It's joy, all right. And then it was sponsored. Everybody that I heard it was sponsored. So when I click on it to find out who the song was, or whatever it won't, it takes like six hours. This is a sponsor. You can't do it. I'm like all right, bro, I just want to know who the song is. You know what I mean. Keep scrolling. Finally found one. It was Kalani Folded. Let me go listen to this.
Speaker 2Let me tell you something. Yes, yes, honey, he said. Come pick up your clothes. I have them folded. Meet me at the door.
Speaker 3As a nigga whose clothes was folded up at the door.
Speaker 2That motherfucker got me Meet me at the door while it's still open. Okay, Because once I lock it, your ass is grass.
Speaker 3You have to keep the double meaning. I walked in the house one time I looked to the left, like why am I closing her To the left? To the left I said did you do laundry today? Nah, yours nigga. But she said nah, so why am I closing her? It's back when I was playing the game. Game system on her Cores is ramped. What's you?
Speaker 2Cores is ramped.
Speaker 3What's going on?
Speaker 2Forget my Wi-Fi, nathan, you're done.
Speaker 3Jerk, did you like her? Here's some food. I don't know if I want to eat the food that you just cooked.
Speaker 2And I'm about to go to the folder.
Speaker 3And I'm about to finish my game. Then she was like here, here's some food.
Speaker 2I don't know if I want to eat the food that you just cooked and I'm like, oh, you're cold, and I'm like it's my case. Yeah, she was too calm.
Speaker 3And then handed you a plate and I was like I said, nah, I don't want to. She said, nah, you good. She said I ain't going to lie, I was about to kick you out, but I thought about it. That's why I keep getting the food.
Speaker 1The last supper. That's what he thought.
Speaker 2The last supper? Yes, Completely.
Speaker 3I get off the tarp after riding an hour from work just to see how my clothes are folded. That's for an hour to get to work. See how my clothes folded. All right bro.
Speaker 2At least it was in the house, because your shit could have been on the porch, like you said she was too. At least it was in the house because your shit could have been on the porch.
Speaker 3Like you said, she was too calm. It was folded up neatly and shit. The cords were wrapped up to perfection. Whoa, what are we doing? I don't even know what I did. I tried that.
Speaker 2That doesn't work for me. If you come back and buy my shit and again I don't ever take too much, maybe it's a hoodie, a couple t-shirts, I always keep sweatpants you never get sweatpants back from me. This man came by my crib to get his hoodie back. Yeah, fold it up. I was ready to give it back to him. I still got that hoodie. I still got that hoodie, but Kalani folded.
Speaker 3Back to the song. Back to the song Kalani folded.
Speaker 2That might be song of the year. I know it ain't no bajillion. I love her.
Speaker 3Her writing has so expanded in the last couple years and this is I'm proud. She got her one and I'm happy that she got her one. I really am happy for Kalani, but yeah.
Speaker 2Folded. She broke it down in that middle part. She said no matter what you do to change the story up, you know I made my mark. She said them stains ain't going nowhere. You can't wash that out. What you want, I'm on it.
Speaker 3I forgot. I copied the postage. Copy and paste it there too. To somebody, I'm different, different over here. You know what I mean. You know what it is over here. You know what it is over here. You know what it is over here. Hey, you got me fucked up and I'm like this, anyways, crazy. Let's get to the entertainment news.
Speaker 2Let's do it.
Diddy's Trial Verdict and Reactions
Speaker 3Diddy was found not guilty on Rico. On his Rico charges he was found guilty on I think it's called transporting, I guess the ones that they listed Transporting. Each sentence holds up to a max of 10 years, but the prosecution eggs I believe it was either four or five years. So Diddy has been not found guilty. He also requested a million dollar bond, but the lawyers for Cassie and a few of the other people was like they are scared for their well being if he gets out too quickly because he has a history of, you know, doing damage or harm to people. That being said, the one1 million bond was denied. This sentencing was scheduled for October 13th.
Speaker 3October 13th is a long time. But I know New York. New York cases them, things be stretched out. I know them. Tax payments the tax payment in New York has got to be well, just for court in all of it and New York lawyers ain't never broke or unbooked Because Dex be stretched out.
Speaker 3But he did beat a Rico charge, which means in the conversation we all thought he was going to beat the Rico George. But, jerry, let's say you how do you feel? What's your thoughts? The OF Magic, real quick, I just want to say this. There was fans outside of the courthouse with baby oil rubbed all over them.
Speaker 2Just want that to be. That's so fucking dramatic. It's also a t-shirt.
Speaker 3It's also a t-shirt. It was two black people I sent, but they also. It was a white lady who held up a shirt that said when was it? A freak off don't equal a Rico, or something like that. A freak off don't equal a Rico, or something like that. A freak off don't equal a Rico. I'm just telling you what the people did outside the courtroom. This is what I mean outside the courthouse. This is what the people did. They had baby oil all over. They was holding up t-shirts. It's people that's excited that Diddy was found not guilty. Boosie Badass, basically, was about to cry on live because he's, like you know, diddy free, it's a good day in hip-hop. Boosie cried, he looked like he was about to cry. He didn't cry, but he looked like he was about to cry.
Speaker 1He got diabetes man. His eyes was like that.
Speaker 3He might have been high. He was smoking a blunt.
Speaker 2He cried about Diddy's crazy work.
Speaker 3Diddy and Boosie, tight Tiny. Tiny was like you know people quick to assume guilt and all of that stuff. Tiny came back and supported Ray J. He was dancing on live. There's a bunch of celebrities that reacted. Lendale the comic. She said that it's a sad day for women and prayers to Cassie. Fun Place also said Cassie was a great woman and I'm sorry that she has to go through all of this and prayers to her. A lot of people shouting out Cassie in this time. Keisha as well. Y'all remember Keisha, the white rapper, Kesha, Kesha. Oh, Kesha, Keisha, Kesha. They're not the same. I get that, but to me it is what it is. I ain't listen to them. No offense, I'm just saying I ain't listen to them. But yeah, Keshaha, my bad, I gave you all. React to whatever you decide to react to.
Speaker 2I laid it out so I just want to clarify for the folks at home a RICO charge or racketeering, is a corrupt organizations charge act. It's the legal accusation that a person or group is engaged in a pattern of criminal activity connected to an enterprise. In quotes right Now, all the bullshit, the timing, the videos, the shit we've seen these are the accusations. We are claiming P Diddy has been charged innocent. We're claiming P Diddy has been charged innocent. I just want to know how big the check we wrote was to get that clear, because we've been looking at evidence for months and I get he was going to get off on something with all these charges. But that to be the first one.
Speaker 2I was just like wow, it's still early summer, so we'll see what has him by the end, by October. I'm not rooting for nothing, I'm not cheering for nothing. I'm just going to sit back and watch because I'm not getting a check either way. But I just want to know how big that check was. That was written to get us food for these things. America has already fallen apart as it is, so let's free Diddy to gentrify black opinion. Let's keep niggas busy for a while while everything else falls apart. Is how I feel about it. But shout out to his people. I know they pumped. Look didn't his son just tweet last week we're going to see you soon. And the internet was mad about it.
Speaker 3Yeah, well, when did the internet not make that sound?
Speaker 2We don't know which way to stand on it. We just want to see something happen and for this to be the first step. It's going to be a slippery slope. It's going to be a long afternoon. It's going to be a slippery slope. It's going to be a long afternoon. It's going to be a long afternoon.
Speaker 3There's going to be a bunch of civil cases. That's coming. It ain't over, even if Diddy get to go home in October.
Speaker 2He's got 20 plus years of funding and secrets and blackmail to balance out on. He really might come out of all of this scot-free, not guilty. He spent a couple months in jail, got a little gray because he missed some hair dye appointments. Hi, george.
Speaker 3Why is that you?
Speaker 1For a minute. Can we go? Can we go, you know, to the land, conspiracy land.
Speaker 2I'm buckled in.
Speaker 1I'm going to go to a different conspiracy. So did he get off? You know, on this Rico charge Okay, cool, we saw that coming. They trying to give him 10 years for each charge, whatever, whatever, you know, max of 10 for each other charge he got. The defense is asking for five. Nah, he do five years.
Speaker 1I don't think, bro coming home, you hear me, I think it's over with. You know too much. And as soon as you get out you gonna go to sing what they did to that boy Epstein, what they did to, uh, tory Lanez. Look, nostalgia sends her regards. I'm telling you it's going to be up. What did these people say? The lawyer said in the closing argument Cassie, gangsta. We're going to see how gangsta she is. What was Cassie's song? You been waiting so long. Skink, skink, skink. It's over, damn. Hey, it's finna be an SVU episode all over. But that boy, finna, be all over. That damn sale. I'm telling y'all, just wait. It's finna be year four, six months left. Oh, did he come home in six months? Next thing, you know, sean Combs found dead in his cell this morning. It's finna, be over with. I really who? I tell you who it is, but we didn't hear much about it or did he's being held?
Speaker 2huh, do we know where did he's being held? He probably in Rikers. I don't think he's nowhere that hardcore. I definitely don't think he's nowhere hardcore. He's sitting up there with them, white collar motherfuckers. That's weird.
Speaker 1You don't hear shit about him.
Speaker 2Yeah, I ain't at the White Collar. He missing his guy appointments but he chilling.
Speaker 1He is in Metro Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Speaker 3Oh, is that because he ain't in? White Collar is a federal, he's still in. Yeahikers is a federal, he's still in yeah, that's a federal.
Speaker 2He's still in state. I hope he's thinking about them boys.
Speaker 3He may walk for cheesecake though so first I do want to shout out Diddy Sun, who was at the trial, who was all leaving. He just dropped the album with Kanye. I meant to mention that King and Kanye got an album out. So yeah, you know I'm saying if you want to listen to that or what, not.
Speaker 3The Rico charges I've been saying this whole time they didn't prove nothing on the Rico charges. How they didn't prove nothing on the Rico charges. I've been saying this the whole time they didn't prove nothing on the Rico charges. How they didn't prove nothing on the Rico charges when everybody know Diddy be out here doing shit, cool. I don't understand it. But if you look at it week by week by week, only thing they proved was Diddy was free and he was out here doing a bunch of wild shit. But Rico, they said that he was free and he was out here doing a bunch of wild shit.
Speaker 3But Rico, they said that he ran his record label as a company to fund these sex parties. None of the evidence pointed to that. The evidence pointed to him actually having sex parties and flying these people out. That's why he was convicted on these transportation charges which, like I said, holds a maximum 10 years prosecution for four or five. Cool, I did think about what Quag said, and Diddy might not make it out. I don't think he's going to make it. If that's the case, he's not going to make it to four years Diddy going to be gone by the end of this year.
Speaker 3I four years Diddy going to be gone by the end of this year I'm saying if that was the case, I would think he would be gone by the end of this year, but I don't think that's going to be the case. I think that's why. I think it's the opposite, though. That's why he's going to get out, because everybody don't want him singing, because if you put me behind these bars, I bet I'm singing on everybody. I think it's the opposite. You think he's going to stay in jail, but he ain't going to get out of jail because of that. I think he's going to be at the crib because they don't want him to sing.
Speaker 3Because, there was other people at these parks, it wasn't just, it wasn't Diddy and Cassidy. True, true, true, yeah. I think that's why I From my thoughts. I think that's why Diddy got out. One, because they couldn't prove the Rico charges. Two, I do think it's some conspiracy stuff. They don't want Diddy to do no time, because Diddy gonna start singing like he's Luther Vandross. He's gonna hit every note, it ain't going to miss a step. So yeah, but no First style of victims. Diddy, I'll hold on real quick. You know a way out to be out here with the baby in front of the courthouse. I forgot about that. They were squirting on each other.
Speaker 1That was a crazy thing. Like champagne like Chris Bosh in the finals.
Speaker 3Instead of popping champagne, they popping Baby Oil bottles.
Speaker 1Baby Oil oh man and Freako's crazy too.
Speaker 3Bruh Freako is one thing, but rubbing other grown people down in Baby Oil in the middle of these New York streets is high display too.
Speaker 2New York's not a real place. I can't. Them niggas was out there roasting a lot Deadass. I'm so confused, I'm so confused.
Speaker 3New York's not a real place, johnson.
Speaker 2Johnson gonna discontinue the oil.
Speaker 3Stop playing Johnson Johnson rolling their money, because everybody batting baby oil now. What you mean them stocks is going crazy. What you mean they be using it.
Speaker 2We know it's the only evidence we do have, apparently.
Speaker 1Y'all know who. Next, though, brian Steele, finna go three for three.
Speaker 3All right, man Hold on. I don't know who's next.
Speaker 1I can't say, because they said we'd be talking about him too much Ooh.
Speaker 2Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1If we can go save, look if he can get saved. I mean look, go get him.
Speaker 3That man ain't getting out of jail. They were saying people were trying to kill that man in jail and they still let that man get out of jail. He ain't getting out of jail, who was trying to kill him.
Speaker 3That's what they said. That was the report. He asked to go home because it was threats on his life and people trying to poison his food in jail. Burr ain't getting that. I don't think no lawyer in this world can get that man out of jail. They want him in jail more than they want Diddy. But back to what I was saying. I knew New York wasn't a real place because I seen a video a couple days ago where it was a red hanging on the subway pole and nobody was afraid, nobody moved, nobody jumped. They all just stood there and acted like nobody was afraid. Nobody moved, nobody jumped. They all just stood there and acted like it was nothing.
Speaker 2They just trying to make a little cheese.
Top Stories of 2024 So Far
Speaker 3No. Ain't no way. They just trying to make a little cheese. Okay, it's 20 people on this subway train and all y'all see are reds. They just trying to make a dollar or two.
Speaker 2They can look and say, said I'm outside.
Speaker 3Nah y'all. New York is different. Y'all can keep New York. I don't want Nah, I don't want no ports. All right, beth. So we halfway through the year. There's been a lot of interesting things that happened so far through this year. I'm going to recap a few of them for y'all. Y'all tell me which ones y'all think. First one was the New Orleans truck attack on January 1st. The Palisades fires out in California, tiktok being banned for 12 hours Ooh scary, it was longer than 12.
Speaker 2Trump was president, depending on where he was at.
Speaker 3Trump became president. The plane, all the plane crashes between the Delta crash and Toledo, the one in Washington DC with no, with no survivors the Pope died. We got a new Pope in Washington DC with no survivors the Pope died. We got a new Pope, a new American Pope, the Diddy Trial, the 10 dudes that escaped from prison in New Orleans, iran and Israel, back and forth, and then, of course, trump bombing down on Iran, or it could be any of these things or anything else that pops to your mind. What is your most interesting story so far in the first six months of this year?
Speaker 2George, we still dealing with this orange man and we've got a whole another four years to deal with three and a half years to deal with this orange man and we've got a whole another four years to deal with, three and a half years to deal with this orange man in our office, and that's the scariest thing of all, honestly. Yeah, nah, that's it Looking for a way out Looking for a way out.
Speaker 3Especially, I gotta look into this bill that just passed through one side of Congress going through the other one.
Speaker 1But yeah, quay honestly, mine is probably of the stories you picked, probably the inmates in New Orleans, because they just caught one Friday, the one that I thought was still going to be out, still out Graves, which I said all he had to do was throw a wig on and nobody was going to know, nothing different.
Speaker 3You've been saying that. You've been saying that it's over with. They say he had a cross-dressing.
Speaker 1Can't find him because you're looking for a female, it's over with. But if I had to pick a secondary little story, the Union ain't twins. A secondary little story the Yen Yen Twins. It ain't a big story, but it's going to be one that I want to put on everybody's mind. The Yen Yen Twins have been doing the same performance for the last 25 years. Damn, I want y'all to think about that. Why you ain't on you bro.
Speaker 1I'm not even hating, but I just saw a video of them at SeaWorld performing the same get-up that they performed at Millennium Tour.
Speaker 2Every time that I was like yes, so you've seen them, hugh, have you seen Yang Yang?
Speaker 1And they probably did the same thing then.
Speaker 2It's the same show. It's great, though, because the crowd turns up like they're all. I enjoyed it. I'm glad they still outside getting lucky.
Speaker 3I was just going to say what's the issue, because I enjoyed it.
Speaker 1It ain't no issue, it's just an interesting story.
Speaker 3Who's?
Speaker 2watching. I didn't realize they was doing shows at SeaWorld Shit. I'm going to go see the Dolphins and turn up with Yee, yee for $35. Let's go.
Speaker 3Yeah, I know Soulja Boy and Bad Boy got a show coming up at SeaWorld sometime soon, dang.
Speaker 2I just want to see them do Marco Polo, and then I'm going to go home.
Speaker 1I think that's why they're doing it, so they can perform that all damn day.
Speaker 3Marko, that's it, that's it that's it that's it, that's it, that's it, that's it, that's it. Soulja opening you okay with that between him and Belwa? You okay with that?
Speaker 2Soulja Boy to open it you okay with that they probably look, they probably do they show.
Speaker 1Look Soulja start, then they do they songs together and then it's Belwa turn. Like they know how to put on a show.
Speaker 3They done did this before yeah, nah, bro, you get what I'm saying. Soulja Boy, to open it, that my line opening it.
Speaker 2Am I lying? Does he show up on time?
Speaker 3I do not know yes or no, that's all.
Speaker 1I ain't.
Speaker 3I ain't Nah for me his top story of 2025. Besides the president, you know what I'm saying Because I think that's the. Anyway, that's the one I was going to take the 10 inmates, not because of the ones that are still free, but the ones who got caught the next day, like what the hell was y'all doing?
Speaker 2Slacking. They know what to do once they was outside.
Speaker 3To me that didn't make sense. The other thing for me this year the top 75 that Billboard did with R&B. I know we talked about it on the last part. I still disagree with that list and it still pisses me off Because I don't understand how R Kelly in top five. I ain't seen any one. I ain't understand how R Kelly in the top five. I ain't saying he ain't, I ain't saying he won, I ain't saying he two, I ain't even saying he three, but he ain't four or five.
Speaker 2Whatever Phil.
Speaker 3Whatever?
Speaker 2I will throw in that the Knicks fumbling a championship or getting close enough to have to fumble a championship. It's not a lot of things I used to do. I guess, it was cute seeing all the Knicks fans come out of the woodwork for a hot second.
Speaker 1Out the woodwork.
Speaker 2I mean, they always outside blue and orange, but seeing them collectively, it was cute. It was cute.
Speaker 3Hey, I don't Go ahead. Go ahead, she talking about Chelsea.
Speaker 1I'm saying I'm trying to figure out why I didn't know I didn't know you was a Knicks fan.
Speaker 2I didn't know, I really didn't.
Speaker 1That's crazy. You don't know, I'm a Knicks fan.
Speaker 2I didn't.
Speaker 1I just see the.
Speaker 2Vikings behind you. Now, man. I see the Vikings behind you every week.
Speaker 1That's football.
Speaker 2I know I know that's football.
Speaker 3I ain't never seen you in a Knicks jersey nigga.
Speaker 2She ain't never seen you in a Knicks jersey.
Speaker 1Do you want to hear the story about my Knicks jersey? She?
Speaker 3said you ain't a real Knicks fan.
Speaker 2Please do Enlighten us. I didn't say that shit.
Speaker 1The reason I don't no hats. I had the snapbacks. I had a turquoise snapback with the leather snake strapback. It was a strap. It was the snapback with the strap on it. Oh my God, I love that bitch so much. I had all this shit in one tote because I got my Nick stuff here in one tote. I got my Viking stuff here in one tote, you feel me? We moved to a new crib. The cat didn't know where her litter box was just tell the story.
Speaker 2You sure you want to finish that story and I'll leave it at that damn I go I go through my things and my snapback stink.
Speaker 1What the fuck is that smell? This jersey got a stain on it what the fuck is that? And I realized what's going on. Washed the shit like three times you hear me? Took it out back, sprayed it out with the water.
Speaker 2No way to get out that cat ass smell. No.
Speaker 1It did not work, and then it had been sitting for who knows how long, until basketball season you feel me damn so.
Speaker 2Even the cat didn't know he was a Knicks fan.
Speaker 3Crazy work the cat didn't even realize. The cat realized he was a Knicks fan but it just didn't give a shit.
Speaker 2It gave quite too many shits.
Speaker 3Well the cat realized I mean, this is trash anyway. I might as well go ahead and use the bathroom right there anyway that's petty.
Speaker 2That's petty, I mean, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1RIP to your hats and your jerseys though it's the same RIP to that cat it's the same to that cat you gone now, love it, love it now.
Speaker 2You're going now, love it, love it now.
Speaker 1Because last time I saw the cat, she was alive. That's all I'm saying. Last time that we saw the cat, she was alive.
Speaker 2Hey, I'll give a damn about that cat look, look, look.
Speaker 3Can I say a part of it too, go?
Speaker 1ahead last time we saw that cat that cat was alive, alive and well, running around spry mother fuck we saw that cat last night. Hey, look Q. I'm going to tell you what it was. It was the last episode of Fresh Prince. That motherfucker looked around she said, damn, I know.
Speaker 2Damn. Oh my God, hey bro, damn damn oh my god, I'm just saying.
Speaker 1I just want to put that out there.
Speaker 3I done said it once, I'll say it forever, but that bitch was alive the last time I saw her you see, I said it on the pod too. Hey, that cat was alive. But, like you said, the people gone, the dog gone, the cat looked around like she looked. The people gone, the dog gone, the cat looked around like she looked around, the dog was gone.
Speaker 1She was like shit, Damn. These niggas left and it is.
Speaker 3All the people gone, all three of the people in the dog.
Speaker 1I know what time it is. Hey, the writing's on the wall.
Speaker 3you see the writing's on the wall, you feel me. The writing's on the wall. Y'all get your ass in there. Man, I love this shit. That ain't my business.
Speaker 1I'm saying though Don't try to put that off on me, Don't fucking steal hollering that shit, Whoa, whoa whoa, whoa, whoa. I ain't had nothing to do with that.
Speaker 3But no, back to you and your cat, Not your cat. Your cat treats your stuff like a little box. Jerry didn't even know you was a Knicks fan. How do you feel? How do you feel right now about your New York Knicks? Y'all just got to go.
Speaker 1I mean, I think that'll be an interesting storyline. Like I just told somebody today, shout out to Quiet Storm. I talked to him earlier. What did the Phoenix Suns they do? They had in there what he told his people.
Speaker 3We need a nigga for these niggas.
Speaker 1I don't know if this is the right nigga y'all shall see but we gonna see, we gonna try it out. Look this a nigga that people like. So you know what I'm saying. We need a nigga for these niggas, so hopefully we we get that, you know.
Speaker 3I ain't gonna stop. We get that. You know I forget. I be forgetting quiet songs and Nick fans too. I ain't got to start, I ain't going to lie, I put Brown. Oh, okay, because I see the LeBron Lord so much.
Speaker 1Yeah, he was a LeBron fan. I said, man, come over here where the grass is greener.
Speaker 3Okay, cool. Yeah, I be forgetting. I be forgetting about the Nick fans, but yeah, I didn't forget him. I didn't forget the Braves and Knicks fan. But yeah, nah, yeah, first time I see a Knicks, y'all finally got a coach. What's up, what's up, congratulations.
Speaker 1What's up?

You feel me we're going to be smoking on this for a little minute. Yes, now I understand. Like having to change your lifestyle. You know, sometimes shit be going on in life where you just got to evaluate life. You know, get your priorities in order. Sometimes you can't, sometimes you can't shop at Bloomingdale's. You gotta go to the fucking H&M. Sometimes you gotta go to H&M. Sometimes, look, you can't go to damn Rue Chris, you gotta go to H&M. Sometimes, look, you can't go to damn Rue, chris.
Speaker 3You got to go to Longhorns, you feel?
Speaker 1me. Q Q B. Simone, life ain't been right ever since. You missed her when she came to town.
Speaker 3All right, man Chill.
Speaker 1You really messed that woman's life up.
Speaker 2You know that right all right, that cute simone franchise was supposed to go big. What happened? Hey, who was ready using it.
Speaker 1I ain't heard you take nothing about her in a grip you know what I'm saying yeah, I don't he said I done, blocked that one.
Speaker 2He said her clothes are folded hey man, big blow came around.
Speaker 3I've been stealing glow tag.
Speaker 1I've been stealing glow tag lands for the past two years, bro that lady life ain't been right since she stopped getting them cue prayers every night, boy.
Speaker 3All right, bro At AD what happened?
Speaker 1You gonna pray for B Simone? Hey, bro, you had a pocket bro, I'm asking a question, bro, the people must know. You was going hard for a long time. Obviously, bro, you had a pocket. Bro, I'm asking a question, bro, the people must know.
Speaker 2You was going hard for a long time, obviously, bro.
Speaker 3Nah, craig came on one time talking about it, but she like be Simone, I was like that was Skinny be Simone, skinny be Simone.
Speaker 1I don't know what she is right now, but I know it's broke.
Speaker 2Look, Look, look, look, look, look. A nigga with a 9 to 5 don't look too bad now do?
Speaker 1it. Ooh, that's what it was. Was that the third point? Hold on hold on.
Speaker 2A nigga with a 9 to 5 don't look too bad. Now do it. Just saying A job is a job man, a chick is a tack All right, all right.
Speaker 3Now see, we're going too far. See, now I got to go, now I got to defend B-Symo.
Speaker 2I'm just bringing up what I felt like was a solid point.
Speaker 3I tried to let y'all get y'all little jokes off. You know what I mean, but then y'all went a little too far, so let's reel it back in. First of all, Was it not a? Because the fact Beast of Bone's not broke Really Because she said she was. That's not what she said. See, that's what I'm talking about. People get on the internet. They be killing us on TikTok because people be getting on the internet looking at TikTok and be seeing part of the clips and they'll be watching whole episodes of shit, because you know, people's attention span ain't that long. What she actually said? Well, she never said she was broke. She just ain't got a lot of liquid cash because she's invested into a lot of different things. Now, if she sold all these sold things, of course cash will build up, but right now she's into a bunch of investments in businesses and stuff like that. So no, this loan's not broke.
Speaker 2We just have poor money management.
Speaker 3Got it she invested, I mean financial illiteracy is a really big problem.
Speaker 2It is Financial illiteracy is a really big problem in the Black community, and admitting that is the first step. Don't be investing in your cousin Pookie's line of shoelaces, because Pookie don't know shit about shoelaces. He know they go in shoes.
Speaker 3That's it, b Simone's not broke. The full clip was also talking about how the friend felt the way, because B Simone was out here handing out checks to other people and the friend was like, bro, I'm out here on food stamps and I'm out here with my life about to get cut off and you looking out for everybody else. B Simone did not know. Hold on, let me talk, jerry. Y'all had y'all time. Y'all got y'all little jokes off me. I don't want to curve at y'all things, no more, because y'all be very disrespectful to B Simone. She said I didn't know. The friend didn't tell her that. Hey, I was going through these. So that's why Beast and Monster, you know, had the situation. What happened to Sparta? What happened to Sparta?
Speaker 1Your favorite ex huh.
Speaker 2Bounced, diggity bounced.
Speaker 1Your favorite ex huh.
Speaker 3Because the disrespect, the disrespect to Beast and Monster.
Speaker 1No, I was going to ask you did y'all have a place where you was up? You know shopping and you had to look around and be like nah, let me go somewhere else.
Speaker 3I don't need to be here the shoe store because my son won $200 pair of shoes. Like, hey, bro, get your, you ain't got no job.
Speaker 2G. Maybe he need a job. In your feet, you know.
Speaker 3Something Did he earn? Every new basketball league he won a new pair of shoes, Bro. I just hey, bro, no.
