Here is your host, Christian entrepreneur Tyler McCarty. What's going on? Successes. Listen, solemn car coming at you. Who? Wow, we are in the middle of this right here. Guys, I'm excited. Be able to do this. Episode 2 11 Happy Birthday to the Success Edge Podcast. As I'm recording this, this episode will be published on May the 11th 2020 and I will be seven years. The successes podcast has been in existence. We've been producing content every single one of those years. It might not have been consistently, but I can tell you over the years has been consistent. We've done something every year. At least I could say that. And so today, guys, I just want to give you guys a quick history lesson. A quick update on some stats about the success edge and also where we're going on that this journey that we've been on and then I also want to talk about some partner. Ah, ship updates that we have. So here we go. Let me jump into this real quick. So the history lesson success has podcasts, guys. Seven years. That's I don't know where you write. Seven years ago, that was 2013. So I know where you right. I know that I had a job at the time, All right? I have mother businesses on the side, and I had just decided that I'm going to do this podcast. And so literally, I was in my closet in Columbia, South Carolina, recording my very first podcast episode of a Success Edge podcast. You can go back and listen to it. Actually, I believe if I wrote this down, right. The number two episode on the success edges, Actually, Episode one, which I think was a total of seven minutes. And trust me, yours truly, Mr. My car was saying Oh, my whole lot and was stuttering. It was not a very pretty sight, but you can tell me tell that I was actually just trying to do something. Well, the whole reason for the success has podcast. Was this right here? I was one frustrated Jose, and I knew that I needed. I knew I had something to say, and I knew that I needed to get this out of me. I knew that the God put something inside of me and that put value inside of me. And I had this huge inventory of doing seeing God work and seeing God allow me to be successful in the marketplace. And I a year to prior doll that 11 4012 I would go in search on YouTube or on at that time, the you know, Google or going to Barnes and Noble's air going toe, a Christian bookstore looking for content, looking for anything that waas Christian related in regards to business. And I wanted to hear this is there was nothing in guest anything that I was consuming the time. But I wanted to find somebody that didn't wasn't speaking behind a pulpit that did not have the title of Hey, I have a ministry and I'm talking to you as a person about how to succeed in the marketplace or how toe be successful in business. There's one gentleman that comes to mind. His name is normal Hayes. And one of the reasons I enjoyed listening to Normal Hayes's content was because he owned seven businesses and yet he was a, you know, person that would go around speaking about how God would operate, you know, with him in business and in ministry, too. He was a marketplace minister if you want to call him that. And I used to enjoy that content. And so I was searched for these people and I just couldn't find them at all. And so instead of me sitting there complaining about this and they're griping and, you know, in a rock kicking position, I did what any of my business mentors always taught me was Hey, instead of complaining about it, do something about it. So I actually said, All right, let's start creating content. So I actually started blogging. I literally started a blawg. I think it was, you know, Christian entrepreneur or Christian Christian of the marketplace, something like that. It was a blawg site that I created, and the whole reason I was doing that bloggers, because my wife was actually having a lot of success with her block Amy J. Marquardt dot com. And the whole logging and riding something just really wasn't exactly my cup of tea. And then all of a sudden the whole YouTube sensation was starting to kick up, and I actually had a laptop that I could actually record myself doing that. And actually, you could record yourself on your phone and uploaded to YouTube. And, man, I thought this was actually pretty cool. So actually recorded you can actually find my YouTube channel, Tyler MK Art and go and check out my first couple of, you know, maybe 10 or 12. I don't know how many I have of those, but I've got a little bit of content actually put a show up with Link in the show notes to that YouTube channel. All right, now. But something just still wasn't feeling right about that. And then right around the end of 2012 going into 2013 there was a shift that took place, and what took place was is that I was still I was actually listening to podcasts during that time of different ministers of the Gospel. Call it Mike Murdock. Kenneth Copeland Ah, cripple dollar. I was listening to their podcast. They would put up there, and the only way you could access at the time was actually had to go into your iTunes app on your apple phone. Or you had to go into the iTunes library and download the episodes to your phone. Well, lo and behold, you had the three G network that was being released and so forth, and you could start downloading things a whole lot faster. And apple made a shift in their podcast instead of it being inside the iTunes, uh, music director or whoever it was, you could actually they you could actually download the apple podcast app where all that stuff was housed. And it was a standalone app. And I said, Holy moly And I started saying, OK, you know what? I I could do this right here and started doing my research and find out how to create a podcast. Michael High. It was a huge person, that kind of just I was listening this content Cliff Ravens craft. I started listening their content and start, you know, feeling kind of thrusted out. Say you could do this, Tyler, you can create this. And, uh, another gentleman, That was It was John Lee Duma's of ah zero fire. I literally started saying, OK, I can do this. And so I started to the equipment. God provided equipment for me. I I believe that God would do that. And he did. He actually gave me this nice microphone. He gave me this nice computer. I was ableto get the software for it. I mean, I was just seeing God move back in that time that, Yes, this is something I want you to do. Tyler and I did feel lead of the Holy Spirit to do this. And one of the main reasons that I wanted to do a podcast was mainly because what I what I still stand by today is that if you want to watch a YouTube video or read a blawg, here's Here's the big difference between a podcast and those two of the piece of content. Uh, right there with the YouTube video and they blawg, you have to stop what you're doing now. I know that on YouTube, actually, you can literally, um you know, not watch the video and just play the content because I know, I've I've done that many a times. Is that role with road them say I'm listening to certain someone. I could just listen to the audio because it's so easily to do that now, So that's That's another aspect of that. But But podcasting is just the pure audio, and you don't have to stop what you're doing in order to listen. You don't have to pull your car over to read a blawg or watch a YouTube clip. You can go down. You're the interstate or the highway of life or beyond your elliptical. You can go be jogging on your, you know, in the woods or on your road. Or you can actually be riding a bike. Or you can be cutting your grass. Doesn't matter. You could be listening to my voice, which that's might be how your, you know, consuming the constant right now. That's the reason why I thought this was such a valuable asset. This is something that was gonna be huge for us, so I started podcasting. So there you go. So the success edges birth, and I wanted to geared towards the marketplace. Christian. I wanted us to start winning in the marketplaces start not being a whiny, wimpy saints wimpy Christians that I saw people being in the marketplace because, you know, I was just fed up with us getting our butts kicked and us, you know, kind of cowering down the, you know, I wanted to see God supernaturally move in the market place. He was doing that for me. It's just that there's people out there. I remember one gentleman that would meet with me on a consistent basis back in Colombia. Remember, he was kind of my avatar for the podcast because I was literally talking into this gentleman's life about how he can, actually, he's He was moving up the corporate ladder at this local bank that I was that we were that in Colombia, and he was doing very well, And But you want to see God move in his life. And I was kind of coaching him and telling him how to do that. And I remember this is my avatar. This is who I'm talking to. So I'm talking to you. You you know, this e have one person in mind I'm talking to You can actually beam or you can actually succeed more, and I give you tools to do that. That's the whole point of success as podcast. Okay, so let me transition. That's little history lesson on how it came about, right? I know we have several and seven years we've had some different iterations where we've had for the first couple. 32 or 30 30 episodes. I literally was. It was just me talking. I might have had a couple interviews sprinkled in there. I know that I did transition for good little while into interview based, ah, podcast. And that was fun. And that was actually pretty cool. Stood there and watched. And I did that from bat maybe. What Episode 32 all the way to Where was that ham? Looking at my episodes right now. Tell you where is that episode? Yeah. Episode 1 12 was the last one. I did that. I actually interviewed somebody directly on the podcast. So basically from episode. Yeah, because I said on August, April 25th 2016 I pushed the pause button and I posted one more episode on April the 26th of 2016. And then finally, September, the 20th of 2016 September the 29th. I released two episodes. One, actually, is this special of his Don't have a name, don't have a number to it, but it's actually right after 1 12 and 1 13 and it's actually my testimony of how I received the debt. Free House, then, in episode 1 13 was how to play spiritually. Offense was actually that episode that was actually released on September 29th of 2016. So I go back into this whole entire thing with a history of where I was that I mean so for pretty much, you know, from 2014 all the way through halfway through 2015 very much the 3/4 of the way I was doing interviews, Okay, And then even into 16 I started kind of continue that process. But I stopped with when I got to April of 2016 with interviews, and basically, from that point on, it's basically been me all the way from 2016. Yep, those accepts of September 16 it's been kind of inconsistent of basic over the last, you know, several two years under that from 2019 really 2000 for 2020. I've been one consistent Jose getting content out, and I've actually increased it. It's actually two episodes a week. So there you go. So and you know, by the way, I mean, I I kind of talked just like I'm talking to You were driving in the car together. You're sitting in the passenger seat now, just talking to you. So that's just gonna have this. These episodes going to come out with me. We're just having a conversation. Well, the stats that I'm excited about, we're actually getting ready to crust over. We're literally at as the as I'm recording this. We're at 90 little, 99,000 unique downloads. So think of a download for a podcast as a view on YouTube. All right, so in the lifetime of my podcast, out of the 200 some somewhat episodes, I'll have had over 200 of success. I just had over 200 getting ready. 200,000 downloads happen, which is fantastic. I remember. I do remember this. Guys remember, just like yesterday when I recorded my first episode in my recorded my second episode, I remember our I was so excited to get just 30 downloads. That I had 30 people that were actually out there listening through the podcast. I thought it was amazing. And now the cool thing about the the actual success it's podcast. I'm in multiple countries. The 70% of that 100,000 downloads have actually come from the United States. Not surprising, but that's basically what's that now in Japan is my second largest country that has download. I've got close toe, I think I said 8% of those 100,000 downloads have come from Japan, and then Australia's next. Canada's next United Kingdom is next. I know that Nigeria is out there. Germany is out there. Um, I know this in South Africa. I've got people in South Africa that listen, So I've got I never the six. And when I was recording that in my closet Episode one, I never said there and thought Oh, yeah, me And I'm gonna have people listening to me where That my number one city out of all my downloads check this out. Out of all my downloads of the 100,000 the number one city is actually Tokyo. Okay. It was the number one city I've got Chicago is next. I think Dallas is in their Atlanta is in their Charlotte's in their Los Angeles is in there. But hey, I'm telling you Tokyo, I think they think Tokyo They got 8%. There are no 9% 9% of the total downloads of the success as podcast comes from Tokyo. How about that? Wow! Praise God that I, you know, I never thought I'd be worldwide. I never thought that the success says that I would be impacting people's lives. You know, from a Christian perspective over in Japan or over in Singapore. I got people in Singapore got people. Nigeria I got is just amazing to me. So awesome. So I suppose the stats of kind of where things are at and people listening and so forth So I forgive you shot out. Kudos to you. Now where we going? What's taking place in the success edge? Okay, so here's what I says as I've been having these business meetings with Lord. Okay. If you go back and you listen to Episode 204 you hear me talk about having a business meeting with Lord Daily and as I've been doing that I've had different things that the Lord is kind of put on. My harder said, Hey, these things are becoming with a success edge so the podcast is not going anywhere. The website, The success says dot biz website guys is actually being updated. It literally is actually getting some under the hood maintenance that has been way overdue. Like if you go to the Successors website right now, there's some broken links. There's some things that just aren't working and I apologize for that. But it's just where I was at. So I'm going to go and confess that that is my my fault of neglect. But you know what? It's all being rendered and helped out right now, and I appreciate the people that are helping me with that. I couldn't do that without you guys. The next thing that I consists Holy Spirit leading me to do is actually interviews. I feel led that we're gonna start seeing some interviews happen on the success edge. I don't know how frequent that will be, but I do believe that there are some interviews that are gonna be taking place on the success edge podcast, and I'm pretty excited about that. The other thing that is getting ready to take place is I sense a sense right now, the Holy Spirit leading me to actually start a YouTube channel for the success edge podcast. Okay, so you actually has already been created, already created it, Um it is called the Success Edge channel You to kill so I might have it actually links in the show so you can look in the shows you want to subscribe to. There's no content videos, but what I'm kind of imagining or seeing right now is there'll be videos of me maybe doing 10 minute talks or less on there as well as interviews. So the interviews that I'm gonna be doing a private zoom or Skype and I'll actually take that episode that I would take audio because I can extrapolated the audio from that interview done through Skype or through zoom and posted. I was actually on the success of podcast, but I think I will also want to put the content on YouTube. Me Here's thing about YouTube is YouTube as this unique way of being the number to search engine in all the world outside of Google and I just happened to do a quick search of financial freedom in the key move. God, guys on YouTube And there is like crickets. There's hardly anything out there about becoming financially free via the kingdom of God are or succeeding in the marketplace via the Kingdom of God right now out there. Now, maybe there might be videos that are just not as popular. That popped up to the top of thing. But there is not that much content. I mean, I think I went through two pages of videos looking for stuff, and there's just not There's a lot of ministers, but again, from a marketplace Ministry of Marketplace Christian in the marketplace, doing business and doing stuff, there's not a whole lot of content. So that's going to change right there. And I'm gonna start having that extra on YouTube. Yeah, I think that I I do feel strongly about or since the Holy Spirit is actually ah Blawg actually written form written content from yours truly, or maybe somebody else that might want to do a guest blawg post on the Success edge podcast. Okay, website dot biz. The next thing I need you guys to do for me and to help me out is actually going subscribe to my email mailing list, right, that it might not be totally ready yet. But keep checking back in on that on the website because in order to stay up to date with the success edge from a pure standpoint of everything the the email list that I'm gonna be corresponding with you guys through and with is gonna be the main power. Yes. You'll be able to go to YouTube. You'll be able to go to Instagram. You'll be able to go to Twitter and see the different things that I'm posting out there. And by the way, I do have a new Instagram, um you know, thing. Ah, instagram of profile out there, which is actually, um, the underscore success edge all together, so you can actually go there and, uh, follow me there. But really all I'm doing there is posting just some content, some updates, Really, The email list guys is really the heart beat of how you're gonna be able to communicate with me, correspond with me and stay in touch about all the new things are going on with success. That podcast. Last thing is referrals. I mentioned this to a gentleman just the other day that you know the goal I need to utilize of the referrals. And I know that one of the anointing is on. My life is actually networking in referring people, and this is something that's at the core of who I am. And I've done a lot of reading a lot of studying about this, about how to refer and referrals and things that nature and really, Guys, you're going to see a little bit about that coming out here soon that my business and my business is that I have are going to be strictly referral based how that will actually work on the success edge podcast and even with my selling and you know all the other things they're going on. So ooh, wow, that was a lot. Oh, and I failed to mention this right here. There's gonna probably be books. Yeah, I did say that books. The tracks are going to be coming out from the success edge podcast. I say that to say that it's not gonna is least leave their books content. So you actually go to Amazon? You can buy the books off of. Ah, you know the success as business dot biz website, but there's gonna be some books and that haven't even I've just started this process. I don't think there's gonna be a book tomorrow, but there's going to books. They're gonna start being produced coming out so you can actually have some on your Kindle app or your iBooks or ever how you download or consume the written form of books that's going to coming out. So now that's the updates. That's kind of what to be expecting on the Success Edge podcast. I am gonna probably stick to this, too. Two week, uh, show episode type thing. If I ever, ever changes, only gonna be good to go back to once a week, and that will probably will not change. But twice a week is I feel like that is, this is my full time thing. I can do this, and I feel like the Holy Spirit's gonna allow me to, because that's what he's leading me to do. So because what in my again daily business means that had been led to do that. So I want to share this with you guys, this will be the last thing I share is this whole partnership. So I don't remember when I know it was in the last year, year and 1/2 or whatever it was that I started to say that I felt the Holy Spirit saying, Tyler, you need to give your listeners your listeners and opportunity. It's a partner with you or so into you. Okay? There's no telling how many ministries or how maney, um, you know, things that I I actually made it myself so into I can list them out, too, if you want me to. I could list out that so into K c. M. I injured Wall Max ministry eso into, um, the church for entrepreneur eso into, um, Bill Winston. I so into Jesse Two planets eso in all these men and women of God. Okay, and I I so into my business mentors as well. You know, that's for more of a product standpoint, but I so into them financially. Now here's what I want to lets you guys know because I had a conversation with a couple of people, and any time I have a conversation with some people and I say these things that I know and they go. Oh, man, I never heard of that. I never thought about it that way. Then I know there's probably at least, you know, 20 or 30 or 40 of you guys. Maybe in 100 of you guys that never heard about her herd. You know, partnership communicated this way. So let me, let me let you know. Well, secret. Okay, this has this actual ties into becoming financially free in the kingdom. Okay? This whole topic that we've been talking about this whole entire sign. So let me go to Luke. Chapter five, verse seven. I'm going to read this in the New American standard version. All right, So I'm I'm not driving or anything like that guy, so don't don't don't be concerned. So Verse seven. Okay, so, again, the context was going on, and I'm a region verse seven. So Jesus started his ministry. He wants to get some some dudes to get on his team. So he goes and he starts preaching and the crowds pressing on him. And lo and behold, guess what? He's gets crowded. So he asked Peter. Hey, Peter, would you actually be willing to let me have your boat so I could be right on the lake and actually talk to the crowd so they don't push me in the water. So Peter's like, Hey, we've been fishing all night. But, hey, you know, we'll help you out on do this for you. Jesus. So Jesus actually preaches to the crowd using the equipment of a businessman. Notice I said, Businessman. This businessman sewed into the Jesus Evangelistic Association Ministry, so to speak. All right. And so his vote his time into Jesus's ministry. And these people were blessed. They heard urges, stalk Well, Jesus, term to Peter and says, Hey, Peter, I got he didn't say I got a word knowledge, but it's basically what it was. I got a word for you. Once you go in, Castor nets over and, uh, get a huge hole fish and Peter says, Hey, use, I mean, I'm about human. You ain't no fisherman. We've been fishing all night, and normally fisherman's are supposed to be doing their fishing during the night because the fish can't see you come in eso But But at your word, I'll go and actually do what you say so Jesus. So Peter goes and Cassis nets. Okay, Pete noticed Peter is receiving this blessing. I want you to get that guy's. This is very important. Peter's receiving this blessing. This this haul of fish that are getting ready to come into his boat and now do I want to jump into? Actually, I'll start with Verse six off Luke five. Verse six, it says. And when they had done this, they closed a great quantity of fish, and their nets began to break in verse seven. Here we go. They signaled through their partners. Did I just say that? Yeah, it's right there in the Bible. They signaled to the partners in the other boat for them to come and help them. And they came and filled both of the boats so that they began to sink. Okay, there is an anointing. They're when somebody else is being blessed and you're in partnership with them. That same blessing, that same anointing on there ministry, their life, their business. You start to receive that same benefit, they same anointing on your life. Hey, if I said this is one of the gentleman, his name's Brad, that I'm actually, um I'm doing some things with right now on. Brad's been a huge blessing in my life. But, Brad, I said this a brass and Brad you want to sow into people's life if they're in life where you wanna be, so under their life. Okay, So I've never I don't believe ever talked about. I might have mentioned a couple times, but I don't believe I ever really done episode Honest. Guys, let me tell you something. There's a reason why that Heilemann cards okay, only by the grace of God, I have to say that. OK, guys, this is it has nothing. But you know what? I'm gonna brag on my heavenly father and what I've learned. And if you want to participate in this get in the boat, Get on board is what I'm getting ready to share with you is gonna is gonna be a blessing to you. There's a reason why you know, these ministries that I just listed off to you that I so into on on a monthly basis that those anointing that are on their life from words of knowledge to, you know, wisdom that they've received or inside that they've received spills over into my life in the same anointing Trans, you know, oozes out into my life. Now, watch this. Just from a financial standpoint. Just I'm just talking purely finance because, you know, I want you to be blessed spiritually, physically and financially. Success in all areas. Those ministries that I just listed off to you, Andrew. All my Kenneth Copeland. Bill Winston. You know, Jesse to plan us? They're all debt free. And Tyler Marquardt? Yes. By the grace of God, I am debt free. And I became debt free supernaturally not because I scrimped and saved money. And you know, I didn't do something. I did. I did save some money. I did, you know, cut up my credit cards. I did stop using credit cards, but hey, just from a financial standpoint, I'm dead free. I'm dead free in my house. I'm debt free. My cars. I owe no man anything except to love him or her. Now, I say all this to say this right here, like Brad, Brad is actually partnering with me. Okay? And I got another gentleman success story. Brad's been doing it for 20 years, and he's actually, you know, lead lead, churches, lead worship experiences doing that. When Brad started parting with me of weeks ago, Breath sent me this email and you not had he die. He didn't really put the two and two together, but he said he sent his emails. They thought, you know, I'm working on the projects that you've talked about, but also also I've had just had a uptake in my acoustic worship dot com business, and it's going really well, and I'm actually seeing a lot of traction, a lot of growth in that I don't think there's in the Holy Spirit. Whenever he sent breast me that email, the Holy Spirit's Quicken me and said, Hey, Tyler, that's called Partnership the increase this on your life. The increases see from your your life is also spilling into Brad as well. Praise God. I'm excited for that for Brad. Now let me give you another success story. So I just had another partner become a partner with me. Talked to him last last month, right to get to know him. You've been listening to the episodes for a little while and he said I decided to become a partner and he was really struggling with debt. He had a lot of debt for business debt and also on some personal debt that he had, and he was talking about some business concepts that he was wanting to launch out and do as well, you know, we're having a conversation about all this, you know, in gang up. I'm not. The secret is the anointing of my life. And I was able to speak and speak into this gentleman's life. Just some things that he had some for dreams and to confirm some things with him. And I know the secret is the the anointing of the Holy Spirit doing these things. But this gentleman sent me a text just the other day, literally the beginning of the month of May. And he had. He said me, the 60. Tyler, I got this awesome testimony just happened. Like, do tell I'm all about having testimonies. And this gentleman said Tyler, we just had $20,000 of debt cancelled For us. This is from a personal from his personal finances, not his business finances. He just had $20,000 deleted, canceled, going away for him and his wife. And there's some other things. They're going on form, successful eyes. But I tell you, he became a partner last month. Guys, I'm not saying I mean, here's thing. I'm not trying to get you to be a become a partner. I'm just saying, just like Peter said, Hey, come help me with all this fish and everything and his partners got in on the blessing. I mean, why does its talk about guys? I'm not trying to please your my heart. I'm trying to get a blessing to you guys. No, this isn't trying to get your money. Here's the thing. There's something about, you know, Paul talks about this excellent Philippians. How did the church in Phillippi hard earned with him and how that that partnership basically was a financial partnership? And it blessed Paul and blessed the correct, I think, is the Corinthian Church, because that's where Paul received that monetary gift. And trust me, the flippy in church prospered and has talked about today about what took place. You go read that Philippians four. There's something about a corporate anointing guys again. This is not so that I look my needs were met by my heavenly father. He signs my paychecks. You don't sign my paycheck. He signs my paychecks. But, gang, I'm telling you, there's an anointing on this. All right, so partnership is important. I partner roles ministries partner with different men and women. You know, gang, I'm telling you what I've gotten words. I mean, I've gotten direct words from these people that I partner with and it's huge. There's anointing on that. All right, Don't don't miss out on that. Okay, Now I'll say this right here. Last thing I'm gonna talk about is actually something that Brad texted me just the other day. That actually really, really resonated with me that I want to read this verse and ecclesiastic is Tim, and I'm actually gonna read it in the new Americans to introversion, right? And it just this is this is success said this is the heartbeat of the success edge. I know that we have, you know, the very beginning of the success edge we talk about, you know, do you don't see a man skillful in his work, You know, he'll stand porking, just not stand before obscure men. Well, this is also probably gonna become a number two verse of the success edge podcast right here. So Ecclesiastes is 10. Burstyn's as if the acts is dole, and he does not sharpen this edge. He doesn't sharpen its edge. Then he must exhort mawr strength. Watch this wisdom as the advantage of giving success. Is that a good stuff or what wisdom has the advantage of giving success us SA Ecclesiastes Days 10 Bursten I'm actually gonna put this in the show notes as the key verse for this episode So this episode 2 11 guys.
