Speaker 2:What's going on? Kingdom Success. This is Tyler McHart coming at you, episode 411. Man, I'm excited to do this episode. It's going to be fast and furious and I want to jump into the content right now.
Speaker 2:It's going to be fast and furious and I want to jump into the content right now, but before I do that, I just wanted to again make you guys aware that I have a new venture that I've started up. If you're interested in the whole family banking concept or getting some information about that, please reach out to me. Right there in the show notes there is a link that says send me a text, and you can actually send me a text and just express your interest. Give me a way to get back in touch with you and we can talk about family banking. This is something that I'm teaching people right now because it's something that I've been doing for the last five years and the Lord has kind of put a mandate on me, or or at least said you need to start teaching people how to become their own bankers, and so that's what I've been doing. Anyway, I want to jump into the content because I don't have a lot of time and I want to get this to you.
Speaker 2:It was May of 2002. It was a Friday afternoon and here I was. I think I was about 23 years old and maybe I was 24, but I was the only one in my real estate office.
Speaker 2:Everybody else in the real estate office had gone. I think, roughly, I think it might've been like 345 in the afternoon that Friday and everybody was gone. And here I was still there, working, okay, still trying to make calls, still trying to wrap up anything that I needed to do, just to try to move the needle, so to speak, because I desperately needed to move the needle. Move the needle, so to speak, because I desperately needed to move the needle. Well, as I began to do that, I quickly realized hey, I need to check my bank balance. And this is before. The internet was really fast. This is back in the days of dial-up. So instead of me sitting there trying to log into my account online, I decided, let me just call, which was actually the typical way to do it at that time. So I knew the number to call into my bank, knew the account number, picked the phone, dialed the digits, did all the things I needed to do, go through the prompts and I get to the part where it tells me about bank balance and at that very moment, guys, at that very moment, my bank balance of the computer said was you have $19.17 in your account Now. Granted, I don't exactly remember the exact amount, I know it's below $20. Let me just say that, and here I was, this 23, 24-year-old kid and I had written some checks and I knew they were already sent in the mail. One of them was actually my mortgage payment.
Speaker 2:Now let me kind of back up a little bit in the story. So a couple of months before all this, in January, I've been told by the two partners that I was actually doing commercial real estate with saying look, honestly, tyler, we're going to have to stop doing the draw that we've been advancing you money and you're going to need to pay this money that we've been doing for last year back, which accumulates to Tyler about $20,000. They could have said a million dollars, it didn't matter, it was a lot of money to me at that time. Well, my little lightning fast brain said okay, I'm going to outwork this problem, I'm going to try to figure this thing out and I'm just going to go work hard. I'm going to have to work some nights. I've got to find a job or find another sales thing that I can actually make some money with very quickly, because really I wasn't making it financially.
Speaker 2:I was newly married and Amy and I just weren't doing very well at all. Lo and behold, that was in January, flash forward to March, probably right around the March 17th, 18th time frame. My wife is on the phone with a young, an older, very mature, awesome, godly woman. Her name is Paulette and Amy was praying with her because Amy was getting ready to fly out to Indiana to go be with her sister because her sister's getting ready to get married. And I'm over there on the couch as Amy's over there with Paulette talking on the phone, but I'm over there on the couch with my Bible open reading, and I think it was probably in a couple of places in Psalms, how that the blessed are those that love the Lord. They're going to flourish like a fruitful tree. I mean all these things I was reading and at that time I was one frustrated Jose. I literally was like what is going on? I am not prospering, I am not moving forward, I am behind, I don't know what's going on. And I literally walked over to the phone and told Amy after she got done praying with Paulette. I said, hey, sweetheart, give me the phone, I need to talk to Paulette.
Speaker 2:Now the thing about Paulette was Paulette had been telling Amy and I when she and her mother and her sister would meet with us. They were called the Honey Bunch. I can't get into that right now, but we would meet with them. They would tell us all these amazing stories. They were like little Jesuses, walking around doing what Jesus would do in an amazing way. Well, as I was talking to Paulette, I said Paulette, I'm coming over to your house tomorrow because I need to find out what you know. And sure enough, the next night I went over to Paulette's house with her mom, honey and her sister Jenny, and it was almost like I got saved all over again, no-transcript and I started on this whole entire journey.
Speaker 2:They handed me this little book by Charles Capps. The book's title is God's Creative Power. That's literally the title of the book God's Creative Power by Charles Capps, and that's C-A-P-P-S. It's a little book, but that book right there forever changed my life. I quickly realized that faith-filled words will put me over. I also realized that fear-filled words would defeat me. And then I realized probably one of the most important things in my life that I've discovered in the Word of God is that words are the most powerful thing in the universe. Kingdoms of Success.
Speaker 2:I don't have time to go into that right now, but let me tell you this. Let me go back to that moment again, when I just found out I had less than $20 in my bank account in my bank account. I discovered all that in March. I started changing my words. I started applying my faith. I started learning what faith was. I started learning about my authority, how I was above and not beneath.
Speaker 2:I was the head, not the tail. I started learning all this stuff and from March all the way to the end of May, when this timeframe took place, and even though my brain, at that moment of learning that I just only had $20 in my bank account, was sitting there screaming at me you're an idiot, you're an idiot. I did not say anything out of my mouth, but I remember just kind of. I literally kind of stood up from my desk. It was like, as I was standing up from my desk, I said well, my God shall supply all of my needs, according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus. Now that's a paraphrase that's personalized to me. That's Philippians 419. And pack up all my stuff. I said those words right there. Begin to walk out of the office, go down the stairwell. Phone rings.
Speaker 2:I get a phone call from a business that I had been doing some sales for in the nighttime back in February and March, that I quit the business by the end of March. She calls me up and said hey, tyler, don't know how we missed this, but I just discovered this about five minutes ago. We owe you some money and, gang, I was over to her office as fast as I could get over there. The total amount was over $3,000 that they owed me and I was able to go put that in my bank account. You cannot tell me. It was a huge epiphany to me, a huge revelation to me that words matter. Faith-filled words will put you over. Fear-filled words will defeat you. Guys, King to success, know that you're blessed, you're highly favored, you're empowered to prosper. You'll walk in divine health. The spirit of breakthrough is upon you and gang, we'll catch you on the other side.
