Ever wondered why some Christians seem to rise above every challenge while others struggle to move forward? The difference might be simpler than you think.

Drawing from an unexpected source—a college baseball pitcher in the World Series spotlight—this episode reveals the hidden power of intentional self-talk that can transform your Christian walk. Just as that young athlete programmed himself for victory before he ever stepped onto the championship mound, we too must program our minds with God's promises before facing life's challenges.

Most believers fall into the trap of "Sunday Christianity," never taking the time to truly internalize Scripture. But what if five minutes of daily declaration could completely rewire your thought patterns? I share practical examples from Charles Capps' transformative book "God's Creative Power" that show exactly how to personalize Scripture and speak it over your life. These aren't just positive affirmations—they're powerful spiritual tools based on God's unchanging Word.

Your mind is like a garden requiring daily attention—watering, pruning, and protecting from weeds of doubt and fear. When negative thoughts inevitably arise (as they recently did for me after returning from vacation), I demonstrate the exact process I use to take those thoughts captive and replace them with truth. This isn't theory—it's battle-tested wisdom from decades of marketplace ministry.

Ready to experience breakthrough in your business, finances, and personal life? Start programming yourself for kingdom success today. And if this message resonates with you, share it with someone who needs to hear it. The transformation awaiting you is just a few declarations away.

Speaker 1:

Proverbs, chapter 22, verse 20.

Speaker 2:

In Jesus' name, amen, all right. So I'm excited to be able to do this episode right here and, like the majority of my episodes I do with you guys, my goal is to help you reach and maximize your potential. Help and reach your potential for the kingdom of God and in the kingdom of God, all right. Help you maximize your potential. So story time here. Recently, if you're listening to this, in Japan, africa or Australia, which I know you guys do listen to, because I do see the statistics out there and by the way I'm driving out there and by the way I'm driving here, in the United States, we actually had my alma mater, my college that I graduated from, university of Coastal Carolina University, and they made it all the way to the College World Series. They went on a streak of winning something like 20, 25 straight games in a row. It was probably more than that of winning, more than that of winning, until they faced the LSU Tigers and wound up getting beaten in the College World Series championship game, which is no big deal, but it's really a cool story, really cool. The actual head coach went to school with me, coach Kevin Snell. Great guy, know him personally. I haven't talked to him in probably 20 years, but I still know him and I'm pretty sure he knows me. Who knows? Anyway, let me get a quick sip of coffee real quick, hang on them Anyway.

Speaker 2:

So I'm sitting there listening, kind of watching the story kind of unfold and on one of the social media posts there was a reporter that was actually interviewing one of the pitchers they had just beaten I think it was Arizona State that they had just beaten and it was for really one of the game-winning games to be able to move on to the next round. And this pitcher had gotten into a situation that I don't know if it was two men on the base, you know there was maybe one out, something like that. The stakes were very high and they were in, you know, arizona State was in striking distance of actually, you know, coming back and taking the lead and actually winning the game and, interesting enough, as a reporter was asking, because the Coastal didn't win, the pitcher actually wound up striking out two back-to-back batter and to be able to clinch that win. And with him doing that, the reporter said man, how much pressure were you under at that moment? And he basically said, yeah, it was definitely a pressure situation, said yeah, it was definitely a pressure situation. You know. He said, well, the standard person, you know, good athlete that wants to talk about his teammates. He said, you know, I knew my teammates had my back, I knew my coaching staff had my back. I was confident in that and, you know, I really really did just believe that we were going to win the game and I knew, knew everything was going to be fine, even though my nerves were a little racked. I was good. She's like yeah, I know I saw, I saw you, but you know, I saw you actually, you know, um, you know, just at one point you were at this situation and she gave the situation of the strike count and the batter that was up in the box and you know she said you were behind in the actual, you know count. What was going on, what was going through your head.

Speaker 2:

And that pitcher, I mean, guys, I'm telling you this stuff. You just don't. We make fun of it, you know, outside of athletics but here, you know, when we talk about it in athletics, this is a big deal. The pitcher said well, ma'am, I hope this doesn't, you know, make you kind of weirded out or anything like that. But I actually started talking to myself. I actually started, you know, having some self-talk out there on the mound, telling myself, hey, I've got this. I was meant for this moment. This is what I'm going to do. I'm going to strike this person out and it's going to be an awesome, awesome victory.

Speaker 2:

I mean, he was just telling the reporter the things he was telling himself and the reporter said, wow, that's really impressive. Here this young man is, you know, coastal Carolina University pitcher, big stage, world College, world Series, and he's doing what? Here on Kingdom Success we talk about all the time you know, I've got throwers that I actually coach and train for track and field throwing, and I talk about this all the time that I actually coach and train for track and field throwing, and I talk about this all the time that you have to program yourself for success. Let me say that statement again, because this kind of really is the title of my talk today is that you have to program yourself for success. You've got to program yourself for success.

Speaker 2:

It's not automatic and success is a continuum. So you know, your programming is a. And that pitcher did not just magically up on the mound and go oh you know what. Right now I'm just going to go ahead and start telling myself no, he had actually already done the work during practice, or off the mound, off the field, where he had taken the time and rehearsed or talked to himself before in that moment. And you know King's Success listeners I really want to just emphasize this with you that you've got to do the work first before you can see the harvest, or you have to do the work, you have to put in before you can get out. And this picture had already done the work, this picture had done the thing.

Speaker 2:

And you know, for a majority of believers out there, unfortunately, what happens is, you know, we punch our time card on Sunday morning and then we never pick our Bible up after that, we never take the time to actually meditate or get the word of God actually inside of us and program ourselves for success. And this is a, this has to change. And then the other thing is we actually have to. If you've got just like, okay, hey, tyler, I'm not that Christian, I'm the person that actually wants to, you know, read their Bible. And you know I'm not just that Sunday Christian and then I forget everything else. I'm more than that. I actually have my quiet time at least four times a week. I'm not going to give the statistics behind that, but it's a pretty big deal actually reading your Bible at least four times a week. Anyway, that's a side note. So you're telling me okay, great, all right, well, if you're part of that, if you're part of that group, then now you've got to actually believe.

Speaker 2:

That's the second thing. You actually have to believe what the Bible actually says, and that's a daily thing. That's just not like one and done. You can make the decision that you're going to believe the Bible. But guess what? Every day and I know this is maybe a little bit of a rude awakening, but every day you actually have to renew your mind. It's like a garden, renew your mind.

Speaker 2:

It's like a garden. You know, every day you've got to go to that garden and water that garden. You've got to maybe prune back some different things that maybe have overgrown in that garden. You might have to fertilize that garden. All right, that garden, all right. You might have to pull out any weeds that it might have gotten in or any kind of pests or insects or animals that have gotten in your garden. So there is something to do every day, all right, so I don't want you to miss that. There's something that you're going to have to do every day. So this is part of the programming. It's a daily thing, it's not one and done. Now you might say, okay, tyler, I'm, I'm willing to do it, okay, so how do I do that? Great question. Glad you asked. So I know I've been. I mentioned his little book.

Speaker 1:

It's a $4 book.

Speaker 2:

It's amazing People sit there and this is a side note, by the way it's amazing that people sit there and complain about how they don't make enough money or they aren't more successful when there are thousands of books. Right now I'm reading, I'm actually listening to the audio book on how to make your kids millionaires, and it's by two authors that have combined forces, and I'm into the second chapter of listening to it and it's great information and it's going to help me, kind of give me some insight into knowing how to help my children. And you know what it I think that audio book cost me what? 10 bucks, 10 bucks and uh, there's. There's just no excuse for not finding the information you need to have in order to again program yourself for success in the kingdom. All right.

Speaker 2:

So in his book that I've mentioned a couple episodes ago, charles Capps, god's Creative Power it's a little book that I read that changed, really radically changed, my life. It really introduced me to the power of words, word power. Now, in order to program yourself, just like that pitcher had to do, that pitcher of Coastal Carolina University he had to program us. He had to say out loud those words. He just couldn't sit there and think about it. That would be one way to do it. But he actually needed to say out loud because, man, when you say something out loud, you're not only saying out of your mouth what you believe or what you need to believe, believe or what you need to believe, but secondly, you're actually your words are programming your self. You're hearing yourself say these words, and there are a couple, I mean in the. In another book of charles caps's collection of God's creative power, there's one that says it's God's creative power for finance, and I just so happen to have that book in my hand. Now. Watch this. Towards the end of that book, he actually gives some powerful things you can say over your life that are based upon scripture, that will program yourself for success.

Speaker 2:

And I want to read a couple of these to you. Actually, I'm probably going to quote them from memory, but I'm going to read maybe a couple of them or whatever. Since I'm driving, I probably will just do it from memory. Here's one of the first ones. I am filled with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom, and understanding His will is my prosperity. God delights in my prosperity. He gives me the power To get wealth that he may establish His covenant upon the earth. I immediately respond In faith to the gospel of the Holy Spirit Within me. I am always at the right place At the right time. My steps are ordered of the Lord. God has given me All things that pertain to life and godliness, and I am able to possess all that God has provided for me.

Speaker 2:

Just, I mean, guys, all these are based upon Scripture. I mean I could go back and read all the Scripture verses of Deuteronomy 8.18, or Deuteronomy 11.12, or Psalms 37, verse 23, or Numbers 13, verse 30, or 2 Peter 1, 3 through 4. I could read all these scripture verses that all these scripture verses are based upon who you are, how to program yourself for success. Here's another one as I give it is given unto me Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall men give unto my bosom. That's Luke 6.38, right there. You can personalize these scripture verses. Now I would encourage you to maybe go to this book, but you can make up your own personalized scripture verses that you can say back to yourself to program yourself for success. You've got to train up your spirit gang in order to actually put yourself over and overcome your negative self-talk, because that's what takes place.

Speaker 2:

A lot of times in what we do, it happens, it happens to me, it recently happened to me. I literally was coming off of the cruise ship that I had here recently, and as I was coming off that cruise ship, getting in the car, starting the drive for 10 hours, all of a sudden my mind I'm just telling you my mind started going through. Well, I haven't been working at all. How am I going to be able to make some income? I don't have enough money right now that's coming in, so I've got to recrank. All these negative thoughts were starting to pile in my head and I had to stop them, and the way I stopped them was I took authority over them. I said no, I take every thought.

Speaker 2:

This is based on scripture.

Speaker 2:

This is a paraphrase of a scripture verse. I think it's in either first or second Corinthians. It says no, I take every thought under the obedience of Christ Jesus. I take every thought captive under the obedience of Christ Jesus. And those thoughts that I was having at that moment were not my thoughts, and I had to take those thoughts captive. I had to bring them under the greetings of Christ Jesus and gang. So then I had to take the word out and start confessing the word.

Speaker 2:

Like I'm blessed in the city, blessed in the field, blessed coming in, blessed going out. I'm blessed in the basket, blessed in the store. My bank accounts, investments, health, relationships, flourish the blessing of the Lord overtakes me in all areas of my life. That's Deuteronomy 28, 1 through 14. That's a summary of all those verses right there. That's what it says about us, deuteronomy 28, 1-14. You can sit there and just program yourself for success. I'm filled with all wisdom and I'm led to make wise and prosperous financial decisions. The Spirit of God guides me into all truth regarding my financial affairs, my thoughts. The Lord causes my thoughts to become agreeable to his will and my plans are established and succeed. That's Proverbs 16, verse 3 in the Amplified Gang. I don't need to do it anymore. You get the point, you can get the point.

Speaker 2:

So I got two calls to action, two calls to action. My first call to action is I would recommend you going and buying this book, okay. Or or you actually starting to find scripture verses that you can personalize and paraphrase that will help you program yourself for success, and start writing those down and start saying those scripture verses over your life a couple times a day. Write out five of them and say those scripture verses over your life five times a day. That's it. Just take five. Do it five times. Guess what? You will start to program yourself. You can do it more if you want. It's not going to hurt you, there's no repercussions. I'd highly recommend you doing that. My second call to action is, if this right here, this conversation that you and I had benefited you, if you're like man, this was good stuff right here. Tyler, thank you so much for sharing this Good stuff right here, Tyler thank you so much for sharing this.

Speaker 2:

Well, I would ask you to think of one person, just one, not 10, just one. One person that you feel like this could benefit and share it with that person. Share with them and I promise you that by you sharing that with one, that one person, I guarantee you you will be blessed and they'll be blessed and you'll be sowing good seed into them. Because if you've got something out of this, guys, don't just keep it. Share it All right, don't just keep it. Share it right.

Speaker 2:

The last thing I'll say is this right here is this is sponsored by my family banking hacks, or legacy hacks. I just started a YouTube channel with a group of guys that we're teaching people how to actually do family banking, and it is called Legacy Hacks. If that's something that's of interest to you, go and check that out. Legacy Hacks is the YouTube channel, and if you'd like to get more information about how to set up your family bank and start the process of legacy planning, so many of us only focus on the 80,000 hours we spend at our job or in our career or our business, and we never spend any length of time maybe 10 hours, most of legacy planning at all.

Speaker 2:

Gang, I'm telling you do the work up front, set your family up for success and be a blessing to your family. Get in touch with me, send me you can actually look there in the show notes area and it says send a message to me and you can reach out to me that way. Okay, so, kingdom of success, know that you're blessed, you're highly favored, you're empowered to prosper, you're walking to divine health. The spirit of breakthrough is upon you.
