The Winning Single Mom

Episode 03 Part 2: How to Gain Major Sponsorships and Be Multi-passionate with Stacey Ferguson

Kaywanda Lamb Season 1 Episode 4

In this episode, I continue my conversation with Stacey Ferguson of BeBlogalicous, a multicultural conference for bloggers of color. We discuss how to be a multi-passionate entrepreneur, the mindset behind building a huge blogger conference that’s never been done before, we chat diversity and inclusion and why it was so important to her over the ten year run of Blogalicious, and we discuss how to be yourself in business and be okay about it.

Stacey is known for building amazing relationships with HUGE brands and being able to show you how to do it, too. She teaches what she’s learned over the last decade so that you see how your audience is valuable to brands and others who want to partner with you. “Brands don’t sponsor you because you’re cute. Your platform is a valuable marketing tool,” Stacey Ferguson. Well, BAM! That’s good.

It is important that whoever you partner with respects your audience and wants to see them succeed. Leveraging your audience with a brand’s initiative to find a win-win is key. Stacey hosts sponsorship training, and I am a proud taker of said course. I share how Stacey’s training helped me gain sponsorship for my last brunch. Woo! Tune in for these juicy tips from Stacey. She goes in-depth on how to decide WHO to partner with. And how she gets her family involved in helping her conference be a success.

We then talk being present as a mom, balancing full-time work, finding time for herself, and balancing it all with this big dream of hosting a blogger conference for multi-passionate multicultural women.

Have your pen and paper ready. Today’s episode is really good. It was great to connect and listen to all her wisdom. Pull out what you need and implement what you can. Think outside the box for events during this season. Online events still need sponsors.

Happy connecting and being multi-passionate!
